New York, USA’s John Williams can definitely be considered a Great Composer of the modern era, most recognized for his music made for films. This 1987 Philips compilation entitled By Request contains some of his best-known pieces from the original Star Wars Trilogy, Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and of course Jaws. Williams composed his first film piece for 1954’s You Are Welcome, a promotional for the Newfoundland tourist information office. In 1980, he became the 19th conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra. Williams has been nominated for 54 Academy Awards, the record for a living person, and has won 26 Grammy Awards. Поверить в это несложно, так как фотографии автора "Ленинградской симфонии" в пожарном шлеме, сделанные в конце июля 1941 года, заняли важное место в образном ряду блокадного эпоса. Как же обстояло дело в реальности? Шостакович подал заявление об отправке на фронт уже 22 июня 1941 года, и после вежливого отказа написал ещё одно заявление 2 июля. Его направляют копать окопы на юго-западе города, и завершив эту работу через неделю, композитор начинает участвовать в учениях консерваторской пожарной бригады. Не добившись отправки на фронт простым солдатом, он искал все возможности на деле проявить свой патриотический порыв. Тогда же, 15 июля, он начинает писать 7-ю симфонию, параллельно этому дежуря на крышах, выполняя профессорскую работу в консерватории и выступая перед ополченцами. Ближе к концу августа его всё реже приглашали на дежурства на крыше, и завершив к тому времени первую часть симфонии, он ушёл с головой в написание оставшихся частей. В те дни немцы появились на подступах к городу, вышла знаменитая статья "Враг у ворот!" и это придавало особую срочность его работе. В консерватории в сентябре он был всего несколько раз, и во время его дежурств бомбёжек не было. А 1 октября долго уклонявшегося от эвакуации композитора в приказном порядке отправили в эвакуацию в Самару, где он в декабре и завершил своё великое произведение. В итоге, лучшим ответом на этот вопрос будет цитата из очерка Емельяна Ярославского: "Шостаковичу не удалось потушить ни одной зажигательной бомбы, сброшенной фашистскими самолётами на Ленинград. Но в осаждённом Ленинграде он создал могучую симфонию грядущей торжествующей победы, и она летит над миром, призывая его к борьбе"

Συγκεκριμένα: Το φίλμ ξεκινά με τους Γερμανούς αλεξπτωτιστές να παίρνουν θέσεις μάχης στο Παλαμήδι και στην Ακροναυπλία. Σκηνές από το λιμάνι του Ναυπλίου με αιχμαλώτους, σύλληψη συμμάχων σε χωριό (Τολό ή Ασίνη?). Το τότε Γυμνάσιο του Ναυπλίου (σημερινό Λύκειο) με αιχμαλώτους των ANZAC ή κατά τον Γερμανό αφηγητή του φίλμ στους "Βρετανούς και τους προδότες βοηθούς τους" (καταμέτρηση, μοίρασμα τροφής, περιποίηση τραυμάτων! και έλεγχος των εγγράφων τους). Παρεμβάλονται σκηνές που δεν είναι από το Ναύπλιο καποιες είναι από την Κόρινθο όπου ανακοινώνεται στους κατοίκους, από ένα μπαλκόνι η νίκη των Γεραμανών και ακολουθούν σκηνές με το στήσιμο πολυβόλου στην Ακροναυπλία, και μάλλον το λιμάνι του Ναυπλίου με βυθισμένα συμμαχικά πλοία. 23 aprile 1941 - L’insuccesso della campagna italiana di Grecia L’offensiva Italiana si svolse tra il 28 ottobre 1940 e il 23 aprile 1941, nell'ambito dei più vasti eventi della campagna dei Balcani della seconda guerra mondiale. Nel marzo del 1941 le forze italiane tentarono una massiccia controffensiva per respingere i greci dall'Albania, ma andarono incontro a un sanguinoso fallimento. La guerra si trascinò in una situazione di stallo fino al mese seguente, quando la Germania intervenne in forze nella regione balcanica: con un'azione fulminea, le truppe tedesche invasero la Jugoslavia e la Grecia, costringendole in poco tempo alla capitolazione. Benché vittoriosa nel finale, la campagna di Grecia si tradusse in un grave insuccesso politico per l'Italia, costretta ad abbandonare ogni pretesa di condotta delle operazioni belliche autonoma e distinta dai tedeschi. Il Corriere della Sera di giovedì 24 aprile 1941 titola a tutta pagina: «La resa senza condizioni dell’Armata greca dell’Epiro e della Macedonia». Nell’articolo dedicato a cura di Indro Montanelli possiamo leggere: «Di questa battaglia daremo domani la testimonianza completa sulla base di ciò che ne abbiamo visto e di ciò che ne abbiamo saputo da fonte autorizzata.
