When you look at the clock and you’re only 1 min into a 15 min amrap. 😅😂 The worst. Anyways, I just wanted to post some more pics from Gainzgiving back from November. This workout was a quick one. 21-15-9 kb deadlifts (50s/35s), after each set, 50ft cement ball carry. I think this was 75-80lbs. Much different than a sandbag, no give haha. The 5 RX girls were within seconds of each other. I got 2nd in this one. Remember if you don’t challenge yourself, don’t expect to see the change you’re hoping for. Happy Thursday. At this comp, I never had been on a team of 4, I never had to run an 800m together holding a jump rope at a pace I normally would not run 😅, I never thought I could rep out 225 deadlifts touch n go for 8 reps or do 25+ reps unbroken toes to bar while fatigued, until I had to do it at this comp. Crossfit works👊 (Long post ahead) Today we did a workout that I've done now 3x. Crossfit Open workout 18.2 which is a 12 min AMRAP 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 Dumbbell Frontsquats (50s/35s) Bar Facing Burpees INTO Max 1 rep Clean. In 2018 my score was 8:26 for the first part and I did a 185lb clean. Feb 2022 (2 months pregnant) I don't remember my time, it could have been a little slower, but I cleaned 195lbs. Today Feb 2023 (4.5 months post partum) My time was 7:41 and I power cleaned 205lbs. I've been doing crossfit for years and I still continue to see results like this for myself and others around me. It's amazing!!! I'm so grateful for this fitness journey I have chosen. It has changed my life. If you've read through all of this, you my friend are a CHAMP. Keep putting in the work. Sometimes life can be a struggle. Even the simple daily tasks can be difficult to complete. Especially when depression or anxiety creeps in. It’s been one of those weeks for me. Today I had to push myself to get to the gym. I set simple tasks to perform; task one: just get out of your house shoes and into your gym shoes. Task two: just get in the car task three: drive to the gym. Task four: get out of the car. Once inside the gym I knew to just put Headphones on, head down and just grind it out. The result was worth the push. My mind is clear and my mood has lifted. There are scientific studies that show how exercise can help with depression and anxiety. But for me I don’t even need to see the studies (although you know I have 😉) I LIVE IT! We were created for movement and I am grateful to God that my body is healthy and can move. It can move without pain. Exercise is not something I do because I have to or a form of punishment. Exercise is a form of worship. To keep my body healthy and strong and free from pain to do what God has called me to do. So when the enemy tries to hold me back I’m going to push forward. Even if it’s just tiny steps. I know that I live in VICTORY! If you find yourself having a difficult day, I hope this post inspires you. 💕
RISE 45 has come to an end, but the habits that I've worked on, I will continue to work on, because it's maintainable and a lifestyle. Not too much noticeable difference here, but many things have changed for me mentally and how I have felt physically. While having to breastfeed, I wasn't totally focused and expecting to lose a lot of weight, or any for that matter. But I do know that I have felt stronger, I've had more energy, I've been able to accomplish more in my day and as I have added more nutritious food in my diet it has made me feel 100x better. I will continue working on myself and I know I'll keep noticing the difference. Being physically active and exercising while pregnant has never been something I questioned if I would continue or not. It was always something I planned to keep doing as long as I felt good, and knew my baby was growing safely. Seeing some comments on one of my latest reels about putting my baby at risk while doing a handstand makes me roll my eyes haha. Have you seen my fitness page? 🤣🤦♀️ If the activity or exercise is something you've been doing before you were pregnant, it should be just fine to do while you are pregnant. Obviously there are some factors that come into play for different people, but for the most part, you should be good to keep exercising. Movement is medicine and should be utilized by everyone.
