Los actores realizan muy bien sus labores, Lucy Boynton da vida a Harriet, un personaje serio consumido por el dolor de llevar un trauma jamás superado que está afectando fuertemente su vida personal. Justin H. Min nos entrega a David, un personaje carismático y entrañable, su ánimo al querer ayudar a Harriet y su apego hacia su familia son lo que más me gusto debido a que su personaje se centra especialmente en esto y lo hace de manera excelente logrando que el público llegue a empatizar con el. El efecto luminico de los viajes temporales es genial, cada viaje muestra un reflejo de luz que nos aclara que el viaje esta a punto de suceder, de la misma manera cuando le empiezan a suceder nuevas cosas a Harriet se ve otro reflejo de luz pero de un color distinto, transmitiendo el sentimiento y la emoción que tienen la protagonista en ese momento, a su vez mostrando un momento que queda como un nuevo recuerdo. La música está muy bien, Roxy Music siendo el eje musical principal en esta historia y dándonos lindos momentos con su canción "To Turn You On" de fondo. 8.7/10. ~ The Greatests Hits ~ •Película. Linda peeeero… Harriet descubre que ciertas melodías tienen el poder único de transportarla atrás en el tiempo, reviviendo momentos con su antiguo amor. Película que se estrenó hace unos días en Star+. Comedia romántica con viajes en el tiempo y mucha música. Primero voy a decir cómo me cayeron en el post de ayer eh… como me esperaron para estar en desacuerdo y me tiraron con de todo. Y creo que hoy se va a repetir la fórmula porque la peli me pareció linda pero hay algunas cositas que no terminaron de funcionar para mi. La historia me gustó cómo la presentan, con un perfil bastante íntimo para conocer a esa pareja de los que solamente uno queda en el mundo de los vivos. Y ahí empezamos con lo que me hizo ruido: sentí que el planteo de viajar en el tiempo para poder salvar a esa persona ya lo vimos en un tremendo peliculon infravalorado que no voy a decir el título pero que seguramente todos vimos. O sea, lo que parecía original me empezó a resultar ya visto. Después hay otro personaje que aparece en la escena y las intenciones de la peli son buenas pero creo que ahí faltó química y no me lo terminé de creer. Fue rari. No malo, pero no me convenció. Ahora… a pesar de eso la peli es linda e incluso podría llegar a resultar emotiva. A mi no me golpeó pero si te agarra mal parado puede ser dura. PERO si volvemos a esa peli que yo creo que se inspira, es un choreo tremendo. Aunque sí, linda. While the sentimentally might work for many audiences - and I don't doubt it will for many who want their lives to be a romantic drama - the rules of its genre shackle it entirely to the conventionalities seen on daily basis. The premise that music can take you to different places in time your mind is a more than viable concept. But outside of that idea, The Greatest Hits never exhibits the interest to go for something that could feel more emotionally affective and compelling and not so cartoonishly prefabricated. The Greatest Hits - Fox Searchlights newest film to go straight to streaming on Hulu. A heartbreaking story of a woman who can time travel to see her ex bf who died. She can travel by listening to certain songs. But in being able to do this she also has to wear noise-cancelling headphones anytime she steps out of her house because it’s a risk to have any of those songs come on. The movie alone gets a massive plus for it being shot in LA and very well-known LA hipster spots. The main character, Lucy Boynton did a good job as a grieving ex-girlfriend. I loved her vibe and style. It’s an overall good movie that lacked some better solo moments, with just Lucy. This has a great soundtrack with plenty of songs that are in my usual rotation. This was done much better than a usual drama/romance. And I liked the “time travel” aspect of this movie but I know it won’t be for everyone. When you combine drama/sci-fi it’s a big hit or miss, so I can this mixture not going over well with fans of either side of these genres. Because it was shot in some great spots in LA, the spots that aren’t shot on location look very cheap and not expensive, and almost student-ish. Which I think also hurt the movie. Just holes, in general, all over the story and shelves some of the other characters. Which makes the overall enjoyment a little less and held me back from rating this higher. . The Pale Blue Eye - Réalisé par Scott Cooper (2023) . Synopsis: 1830. Un détective chevronné enquête sur les meurtres qui ont eu lieu au sein de l’Académie militaire américaine de West Point, aidé par une jeune recrue méticuleuse qui deviendra plus tard un auteur mondialement connu, Edgar Allan Poe. . Mon avis: J’ai adoré The Pale Blue Eye, qui s’est révélé une belle surprise au vu des retours plutôt mitigés que j’en avais. Je suis toujours ému par la performance nuancée et captivante de Christian Bale. Oui, c’est un “whodunnit” fascinant, mais pour moi, le pivot du film est l’esprit de solidarité de deux hommes unis par la perte d’un être cher et une enquête sur une série de meurtres. C’est presque une relation père-fils qui se développe entre Landor et Poe. Certains critiques ont dit que Christian Bale s’était “effacé” devant la performance époustouflante de Harry Melling. Mais le véritable talent n’est pas dans le maniérisme ou l’extravagance de la parole et du geste, qui convenaient bien à Poe, mais dans la vérité simple et brute de l’émotion visiblement ressentie par Bale et évidente dans chaque expression de son visage et dans chaque mot vibrant qu’il prononce au sujet de la fille disparue de Landor. Visuellement, c’est absolument splendide. Les uniformes bleus ciel avec le décors enneigé et les bâtiments austères donnait une vraie couleur au film. Ce film est passionnant, pas uniquement à cause de ses acteurs et de l’atmosphère grisante, mais aussi parce que les crimes sur lesquels ils enquêtent sont sauvages, à un niveau purement existentiel. Les meurtres sont suffisamment monstrueux pour frapper l’imagination. Ce qui pose également un défi pour le film: trouver une solution qui soit non seulement logique, mais qui rende également hommage à la cruauté captivante des crimes commis. Et étonnamment, le final du film, totalement inattendu, mais vendu de manière experte grâce à un déploiement intelligent d’informations. (…)

🎙️ Sing Street (2016) es un film musical dirigido por John Carney. Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) es un adolescente que vive en Irlanda junto a su familia. Pero a pesar de todo, la película funciona, por su música, por la personalidad cautivadora de los principales, por tratar temas de la vida cotidiana y por la rebeldía de la edad. It sure feels like Sing Street has become one of those movies that I rewatch whenever I get the chance to do so. I've listened to the songs many, many times over, the 80s vibes striking the usual chords of my heart (cringe). The honest naiveté of John Carney and Simon Carmodey's characters always gets to me, with the brotherly relationship taking center stage on this viewing. The Greatest Hits es una película romántica del 2024. Harriet descubre que ciertas melodías tienen el poder único de transportarla atrás en el tiempo, reviviendo momentos con su antiguo amor. Sin embargo, este viaje por la memoria se ve desafiado por la aparición de un nuevo amor en el presente. Una película que nos pretende enseñar sobre el dejar ir y tratar de no vivir o refugiarnos en el pasado, siempre situándonos en el presente, y la verdad que esta bonito el mensaje, pero la cinta queda un poquito en lo superficial. Y es que también un factor que pudo influir en que la película no me funcionara tanto, es que se me pareció muchísimo a una cinta que había visto llamada Press Play, cuyo argumento era básicamente el mismo, pero mejor desarrollado. Al mismo tiempo como que la cinta no te desarrolla como debería el argumento, no le da esa profundidad que haría que conectes más con los personajes y sus trasfondos.
