Hoy hace exactamente 3 años me realizaron mi plastia umbilical (reparación de la hernia) ésta apareció durante mi primer embarazo, estuve 8 años con ella, cada vez se fue haciendo más grande, hasta que un día se encarceló. Me encontraba en una cirugía lejos de casa, mis amigos cirujanos me mantuvieron en observación e indicaron operarme lo antes posible, yo vivía feliz con mi hernia y no queria operarme 🤣🤣 debo admitir que mi abdomen me gustaba mucho pero ya era cuestion de urgencia, la imagen abajo es posterior a la cirugía obviamente aún con inflamación y pérdida de masa muscular, la última de rosa en la actualidad ya con un poco de trabajo abdominal, antes ya había hablado de esto pero nunca había mostrado una foto postoperatoria inmediata; ya que no me gustaba nada ver así mi abdomen, ha tomado tiempo recuperame ya que por la cirugía mis músculos sufrieron una desconfiguración, es decir no trabajaban, tengo una malla muy grande, en mi caso encima de los músculos (plano aponeurotico). Con el paso del tiempo ha ido cambiando su apariencia aunque la malla siempre estará ahí, pero sin duda ha mejorado mucho. Hey there, nice to meet you! My name is Abby, but you can call me Abs. My dad once told me that when I have my own family, I will be the #1 factor in their health. Aside from my role as a mom, I’m the main grocery shopper and cook in our family. It’s not hard to see that my choices – food, habits, lifestyle – directly affect my family in a BIG WAY. A little about me: I’m a foodie, the wife of a physical therapist, and mom of two littles. I telework from home so I can raise my babies. It’s a busy life, but I’m learning to fit health into the cracks! I graduated with a degree in culinary arts. I spent several years in the food industry as a high school and college student. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be skinny. But I loved food too much and thought my body type made it an impossible dream. I married a physical therapist with a master's degree in kinesiology. Before that, he was a college athlete, personal trainer, and bodybuilder. He was the turning point in my health journey. My husband taught me practical nutrition that I completely missed in my college courses, along with how to exercise effectively. Through education, my "fitness" goals shifted from being “skinny” to being healthy. That distinction was SO vital for me and produced a much healthier relationship with food and the way I saw myself. I'm continually learning and fascinated by God's brilliant design of the human body. The older I get, the more I realize that good health is truly PRICELESS.
