The liver reduction diet, and weight loss surgery doesn’t have to mean not being social. Went to the One Big Summer festival yesterday on Plymouth Hoe. We were so lucky with the weather, Example was great fun and reminded me of my uni days and the Ibiza Rocks orchestra was phenomenal. It’s a bit of an adjustment not drinking but I stayed topped up on water from the re-fill stations. The food was so overpriced so I wasn’t even tempted (£10 for a crepe anyone?😱). I racked up 17000 steps giving it beans with this one! After stalling for a few weeks, I adjusted my eating, made sure I kept up with water, got good quality sleep, and put in more efforts at the gym. Clothes sizes are now a comfortable large for tops instead of 1x or 2x. Pants sizes are now a comfortable 14 or large if stretchy. The weight lifting has certainly made me stronger, and a more stable core. No more lower back pain. Even my knees have stopped hurting, though a small silicone injection intervention had to happen to one of my knees. Overall, though it's been a struggle on some days, but no regret having the gastric sleeve. I haven’t posted in a little while and sadly that is due to the fact that once I went back to work I was extremely busy and then on top of that no one really tells you the body dysmorphia or depression that you go through during this transition.
