BEST Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmas)👌💫⭐🥘🥬🥬 INGREDIENTS: **To Stuff Grape Leaves: .2 cups rice, rinsed well .1 cup tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped .2 cups onion, finely chopped .½ cup parsley, finely chopped .4 cloves garlic, finely chopped .1 teaspoon cayenne pepper .2 teaspoons dried mint .1 and ½ teaspoons ground black pepper .1 teaspoon sumac .2 teaspoons salt .⅔ cup olive oil plus ¼ cup for drizzling the stuffed leaves .1 lemon, squeezed .1 tablespoon tomato paste .1 pound grape leaves .1 and ¾ cups water INSTRUCTIONS: **Stuffing Grape Leaves: _In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except grape leaves, ¼ cup olive oil and water. If you have grape leaves in brine, you don’t need to do any work on them,  just wash them well to remove excessive salt. If you have fresh grape leaves, blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Transfer into cold water and drain. Cut off the stems of the leaves. _Place a leaf on a cutting board or on a plate, shiny side down. Place about 1 tablespoon of the rice filling near the end of the leaf, fold and roll it up. _Place stuffed and rolled grape leaves into a pan either leaving the centre of the pan empty or in rows without leaving any space at the bottom of the pan. _Pour 1 and ¾ cups water and ¼ cup olive oil over the rolls. _Cook covered over the lowest heat for about 45 minutes or until the rice inside the rolls is cooked. _Cool completely before serving. Let me know if you try 🥰 3 medium Sweet potatoes ( cooked, cut 1/2 scoop out flesh) save flesh for another meal 1 tbsp avocado oil 1/2 red onion diced 1 lb beef @forceofnaturemeats 1 package taco seasoning @sietefoods 1 can black beans drained and rinsed 1 cup fire roasted corn corn 2 green onions thinly sliced 1/2 cup cilantro chopped Zest and juice lime 1 cup grass fed cheddar cheese Kosher salt Hot sauce for serving Heat large skillet over medium heat. Add oil and red onion and sauté 2-3 minutes and add beef. Break up beef and season with salt add taco seasoning and cook according to package directions. In a bowl add remaining ingredients except cheese and season with salt. Once beef is cooked add to the bowl and allow to cool for a few minutes. Season potato skins with salt and fill with stuffing. 🫒🧄🧅🌶🍆🌿 Greek style stuffed bread with olives, peppers and eggplant. Recipe courtesy of @dimitras.dishes This homemade stuffed bread was pure comfort. My stuffing was a little different compared with the original recipe. Once stuffed and baked it was absolutely delicious 😋 🌱Vegetable filling 1/2 eggplant finely diced 1 zucchini finely diced 4 cloves garlic finely chopped 1 cup roasted rep pepper 1/2 cup chopped olives 1/2 cup chopped parsley 1 tsp dried oregano Salt and pepper Heat up a couple of tbsp of olive oil. Sauté the eggplant and zucchini until softened. Add in the garlic and cook for a few minutes. Turn off the heat and stir in the red peppers, olives, parsley, oregano and salt and pepper. Make the dough according to @dimitras.dishes recipe and follow the steps for rolling and stuffing. BEST Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmas)👌💫⭐🥘🥬🥬 INGREDIENTS: **To Stuff Grape Leaves: .2 cups rice, rinsed well .1 cup tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped .2 cups onion, finely chopped .½ cup parsley, finely chopped .4 cloves garlic, finely chopped .1 teaspoon cayenne pepper .2 teaspoons dried mint .1 and ½ teaspoons ground black pepper .1 teaspoon sumac .2 teaspoons salt .⅔ cup olive oil plus ¼ cup for drizzling the stuffed leaves .1 lemon, squeezed .1 tablespoon tomato paste .1 pound grape leaves .1 and ¾ cups water INSTRUCTIONS: **Stuffing Grape Leaves: _In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except grape leaves, ¼ cup olive oil and water. If you have grape leaves in brine, you don’t need to do any work on them,  just wash them well to remove excessive salt. If you have fresh grape leaves, blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Transfer into cold water and drain. Cut off the stems of the leaves. _Place a leaf on a cutting board or on a plate, shiny side down. Place about 1 tablespoon of the rice filling near the end of the leaf, fold and roll it up. _Place stuffed and rolled grape leaves into a pan either leaving the centre of the pan empty or in rows without leaving any space at the bottom of the pan. _Pour 1 and ¾ cups water and ¼ cup olive oil over the rolls. _Cook covered over the lowest heat for about 45 minutes or until the rice inside the rolls is cooked. _Cool completely before serving. The agents talked about steamed puddings a couple weeks ago and Candy threatened to make a steamed pudding during the “Spotted Dick” episode. Settling on a small stainless steel bowl covered with foil wrap rather than the traditional mounds or ceramic bowls grating of carrots and potatoes began…. Steamed pudding goes back to Roman times made as savory dishes with suet, lard or haggis as base often wrapped in stomach lining. I still choose the foil wrap and bowl thank you very much. About 500 years ago steamed puddings became sweet affairs served before, or aside a beef dinner, not as a closing course like we do now. Often elaborate moulds were used with towering layers in anticipation of winter holidays long before a Christmas tree became the vertical object the Victorian Uk folks adored. The steamed pudding was filled with all kinds of food in the rich class, dried fruits, butter, flourcarrots, potatoes and nuts prepared before Advent and placed as a centerpiece and named a sort of King cake where trinkets would be hidden inside. The New Orleans King cake is connected to this sacred ritual of a cake for January 6 with a small baby Jesus hidden inside. A hobo or lower class recipe would throw together left overs, mashed potatoes, any bit of binding agent and fruit and molasses. In 1917 UK the beloved dessert became a propaganda device as King George V made a proclamation to make these desserts in order to support UK products only and help the economy. Candy’s recipe had grated carrots and potatoes and tasted a lot like carrot cake…and it took over two hours to cook.
