This is what it is all about, this guy deserves to go viral. You don’t get any more ridiculously good than @colin.macadam.16 aka Wandering Ant On the Move. Colin is overlanding around Southern Africa in a Tuk-Tuk because, well because he can. The 2013 Indian made TVS King Tuk-Tuk is pretty much stock standard, Collin has done no mechanical alterations to it, even the tires have not been upgraded. The only modification to the vehicle itself has been the addition of custom made doors, which are not part of the original trike. Colin has rigged it out for camping a bit though, with a 200 watt solar panel on the roof, running a 1000w power system and a 20l Camping fridge. Pictures show it also has a small awning attached, that’s it. What a way to overland, the “Zebra” gets 3.5l per 100 on it’s 7l tank giving it a range of 200km with what is in the tank. It’s slow going but what do you want to be in a hurry for? It has a maximum speed of 69km/h but I’m sure the average speed is probably closer to 50 – sit back and enjoy the scenery. Colin started in Maputo, headed out to Zimbabwe, up to Victoria Falls before crossing Botswana to the Caprivi in Namibia, he made his way down to Swakopmund before heading inland again to Windhoek. Experiencia con @san.isidro.club 😃 Nos fuimos de trekking con alumnas y alumnos del profe Leo a la cascada de Los Chorrillos, el sábado pasado!! Demás está decir que fue un increíble día 🙌 caminamos, charlamos, nos reímos y conectamos con la naturaleza cordobesa La mañana empezó con nubes ☁️ pero la pacha hizo salir el ☀️ cuando llegamos a la cascada y hasta algunos se animaron al chapuzón 🏊♀️ Cruzamos el arroyo, conocimos algunos de los árboles que forman el bosque serrano y descubrimos muchas aves: churrinches, jotes, condores, colibríes, entre otros. Traje una bolsa y cuentos folclóricos escoceses (mitología para googlear: selkies) @toppingsedin 3) Callejeando cerca de los Jardines Botánicos entré a una LIBRERÍA DE VIEJO, THE GENTLY MAD. Las estrellas: antigüedades en cristal de Murano (¿conocen Murano?): desde pájaros a lámparas-. Traje un usado sobre la herencia literaria de Edimburgo en el mundo. Había cosas buenísimas. 4) Como anduve medio #outlander recorriendo la Tierras Altas, entré a una legendaria librería de #INVERNESS de segunda mano. Me encantaron los infantiles antiguos (más de 100 años) y casi caigo con guías de viaje usadas baratas. Igual compré otra bolsa (y van...). Se llama LEAKEY'S y está en el edificio de una antigua iglesia. 5) En un librería remota (remotísima) de las HIGHLANDS, en Ullapool, tomé un chocolate caliente y me senté a curiosear. Muy cerca de mí había FOCAS (¿o serían del pueblo selkie?). Fin del cuento.
