Adenium obesum is native to Africa and Arabian Peninsula and is grown all over the temperate and tropical regions as a garden plant. It is very popular for use in Bonsais. Since it’s propagated via seed there is opportunity to create hybrids. There is a wide range of colours found due to this. They are drought resistant and grow to vary large sizes in the wild than in home gardens. In loving memory of Serene Mooraj, 25th March 1927-6th January 2016. - Our hearts were so full after having the kids of @aurapakistan over at the farm. Serene Mooraj, @tofiqpashamooraj's late mother, was involved in Al Umeed in various capacities over the years, from secretary to treasurer and finally just to spend time with the kids and assist them in simple crafts. She also used to knit for the kids, make trinkets and knitted ware to sell for the centre. Al Umeed is a rehabilitation centre for children suffering from Cerebral palsy. It’s something that affects the child’s motor skills. The child can’t keep balance and does not have the ability to move at their own will. Serene spent a good part of her life for Al Umeed. For these kids, their faces give them away. The children had a great time. From getting into a tyre from his wheelchair and being able to swing from side to side to the twins looking up into the trees lying on the hammock. There were a few of the inclusion students as well who come from underprivileged backgrounds. Please show them some support by following the work they do. Another Old Timer Plant I managed to get back at the farm. I’ve been looking for the Red and Pink Acania (That’s what it was called then) a species of Hibiscus since quite some time.
