Wow, today was up and down, literally over many hills and up some mountains, with 111 km and 2100 m elevation a long day. Also figuratively, because I had to change my route and felt disappointed at the 60 km detour. But then I rode east on the fastest and longest downhill gravel section I ever followed, almost 25 km in under an hour racing with a strong tailwind and barely the need to pedal. And finally another uphill into the next mountain range, the Sierra de Baza on a road without any cars. #spain #travelcycling #gravel #downhill

Day one cycling from Faro to Alicante. Portugal greeted me with perfect cycling weather, not to hot, even a bit of drizzle now and then and a strong tail wind all the way. The Eurovelo 1 is very much mixed terrain, from excellent cycling lanes, to newly built gravel paths to, well, a missing bridge or two. Overall a very nice mostly flat section from Faro to Villa Real de Santos on the border to Spain. 80k so far. Som om dét at blive tilbudt overnatning på 23. etage med pooladgang og skyline-view ikke var nok i sig selv, blev vi budt velkommen med hjemlig varme og gourmet i verdensklasse; rugbrød, leverpostej og hjemmelavede frikadeller 😍 Vi nød vores dage i Bangkok og benyttede og af storbyens mange muligheder; biograftur, massage, lækker mad og afslapning. Efter tre dage med storbyliv- og luksus er vi tilbage på vejene med friske stænger - men om kun 200 kilometer venter nye og spændende oplevelser væk fra sadlen 🏄♀️🏄♂️ —— eng. —— ✨MOMENTS FROM THE ROAD ✨ Day 353-356 | 📍Bangkok Despite our initial encounter with the bustling metropolis of Bangkok was pretty chaotic (as expected), we couldn’t have wished for a better arrival in the capital. After having successfully navigating the traffic chaos, we were greeted by our lovely Danish hosts, Heidi and Lars, who live right in the heart of the city. As if being offered accommodation on the 23rd floor with pool access and skyline view wasn’t enough, we were welcomed with warmth, curiosity and the food we have been craving the most lately; proper Danish rye bread, ‘leverpostej’, and homemade ‘frikadeller’ 😍 We enjoyed our days in Bangkok and took advantage of the city’s many opportunities; a trip to the cinema, massages and delicious food. donkeys, mountains and great views 🇲🇦 🇩🇪 Wir fahren landinwärts nach Chefchaouen. Die Landschaft ändert sich drastisch. Karge Berge ragen über grüne Hügel empor, jede noch so kleine Fläche ist landwirtschaftlich genutzt, es gibt viele Olivenhaine und noch mehr Esel. Die Steigungen sind weiterhin ordentlich und Christopher schnappt sich zum ersten Mal einen Truck und lässt sich ein Stück den Berg hoch ziehen. Es ist unwirklich schön. Wir genießen jede Minute und kommen am Abend ziemlich erschöpft in Chefchaouen an. 🇬🇧 We cycle towards Chefchaouen and the landscape starts changing. Barren mountains and green hills shape the views. It seems like every square meter is used for agriculture and we see many olive groves and even more donkeys that are usually tied to the guardrail in random places and wait for their owner to finish work on the fields. The landscape is incedibly beautiful. Iniciamos ruta desde Xuacha - A Guican de la sierra Pronosticamos 4 Días para realizar esta travesía Pasamos por el sisga, logrando el alto de venta quemada en dónde no les recomiendo almorzar 🤢 logramos llegar a tunja sin mucho problema,aquí a comer una hamburguesa con buena carne y a descansar 🥱 Segundo día salimos de Tunja madrugados con la aspiración de llegar a soata. empezamos con una planeadita deliciosa y después una buena pedaleada subiendo, estábamos a 4 km de Belén, cuando el ardiente piso me dió unas cuantas caricias, pues tocó parar revisar que estuviera bien,ver los daños,almorzar y agradecer que todo estaba bien y a continuar el recorrido 🙏🏽 Después de Belén hay una subida eterna y un páramo que por fortuna estaba con buen clima coronando esa subida de otro nivel... Siguen los tropiezos una cadena de una de las bicis se rompió, sin opciones la quitamos y hacerle sin cadena.llegamos a susacon donde con martillo 🔨 y puntilla nos ayudaron a solucionar ya eran como las 5 :30 de la tarde y arrancamos estábamos cerca del destino, arrancamos y par metros chao cadena,al final con todo el pronostico en contra coronamos.,❤️🩹 llegamos a soata y muy motivados pensamos que el otro dia seria mas tranqui y coronariamos en 3 etapas.. Día 3 Fue muy muy duro aclaro que ni mis compañeras ni yo tenemos mucho nivel, apenas somos domingueros pero mkaaa quiere saber cómo nos fue la tercera etapa en las historias destacadas puede seguir chismeando 😂 He Sido inmensamente feliz en esta ruta gracias por leerme y si tienen una ruta que me recomienden los leo ✌🏽 ° ° ° ° #colombia #mtb #ciclomontañismo #mtblife #travelcycling #biciviajero #mtblovers #ciclismo

Volver ahi… Siempre que vuelvo hago balance de vida, de dónde empecé y donde estoy ahora. Basta de suerte, no es suerte, es luchar con todo lo que tengo día tras día y no dejar las cosas pasar por mucho que se complique la cosa. Y tampoco soy superhéroe, el victimismo es cosa de débiles, pero soy lo que soy porque no me he rendido nunca, pero sobre todo, porque siempre he tenido el mejor equipo a mi lado! Y si, he cambiado 4-5 localizaciones de vida, pero si tengo personas a mi lado desde hace más de 25 años, significa que las distancias no importan, ni los años ni las vidas. Por primera vez en mis 30 años, me doy las gracias a mi. (Bendita la psicóloga que me enseña estas cosas haha) P.S.
