Good news! It looks like the paints will dry after all. Luckily, I had only used a little of the sunflower oil in them, and there must have been enough of the linseed to offset the non-drying oil. This was a powerful learning experience – drying oils are low oleic/high linoleic and high iodine oils. The one I used was opposite of everything it needed to be. Whew. So the Ever up experiment was a big fat fail made a loss of about £5 however free spins and matched betting gave me so much more! The first annoying thing I realised was that if I withdrew money from the betting site ever up thought it was refund so deducted me that many coins even if I hadn't deposited that amount!I couldn't withdraw it to a different account because of the closed loop system betting companies use to stop money laundering. Thankfully ever up did refund the transactions. Then the Ever up debit card raffle got cancelled which was very annoying! And finally, I had absolutely no luck with any of the coins that I did earn!! Popping corn/yellow micro…an experiment! . 8 days ago I started soaking popping corn to see if I could grow it. I literally took some popping corn (yup, the kind you make into a late night snack!), soaked it for 12 hours, seeded on top of coco coir, under weight for a few days, blackout for a couple more, and now the tray is in a dark bin to continue growing. . Obviously, it’s not going to be a successful grow. Firstly, I used popping corn the snack 😂. Because of that, there germination % is very low. I can see that I overcrowded the tray. I don’t have the proper blackout dome, so I had to make due. . Despite all that, I tasted a shoot…O. M. G.!! The taste is so sweet, and very much like corn. The sweetest corn you’ve ever had! ❤️😋. My epic mushroom fail! I bought this from Park Seed Co together with other seeds and was so excited to get portabella mushrooms! Posted the setup on March 6th. It went well at first, showed signs of growing and then it stopped to basically what it is now: spidery veins that showed initial growth and then nothing. As far as I know it never dried out, didn’t spray it everyday either so it doesn’t drown. I placed it in an area that gets indirect sunlight. My friend who studied fungi production when we were in uni said it could have been the fungus gnats that has been annoying us since plants were brought in for winter, the gnats might have contaminated it, or the spores provided were not active or fresh. My theory was the house temperature might not have been cool enough to encourage growth. I don’t know. We don’t know. Whatever the reason(s), I am declaring this portabella kit growing an expensive FAIL, three months after the kit was started (yeah I blindly hoped it would still grow even after the first month passed). 🥲. I divied it up and they went in two compost piles yesterday. Here's a question for you... how many "easy" science experiments have you done with your kids and failed? This is our third one 😆 I've placed a few white flowers in some water mixed with food colouring. It was supposed to dye the flowers by the following day, but for us not a lot happened. Picture 2 and 3 shows the flower that was placed in the glass with purple water. As you can see, after 5 days there's a slight colour change. This is why you must always test product before selling. So after multiple attempts at moulding the rose and almond oil bath bombs I decided to use it as is. Smells nice but oh dear.. the colour doesn't show in the bath and the oil is not pleasant visually. So.. Hey. I uh.. yesterday, I messed up. So, I was just casually mixing around chemicals , and I was honestly really proud of my results !! I was planning on taking a video of my work.. but um,, that’s obviously NOT what happened . Uh.. Basically.. some of the chemicals landed in my eye, I hit the table, and now I have a huge bruise around my face 😰. But I’m okay!! It just hurts. I didn’t get to get a picture of my eye, though. ⚠️ *TRIGGER ALERT* Crazy Experiment Fail ahead.. Jump to 3rd paragraph to see WHY I was so eager 🤩 Like I mentioned on my last post that I love to experiment, even if it’s a hopeless one but you must taste failure, at least once, twice or more in your life. So while we were in San Antonio, we went to Andretti for arcade and games. I was super excited to do the indoor go-karting (no driving license though 🤓)because it looked pretty cool and I had done it before so I was pretty confident. My husband tried to talk me out of it and put ❓Question Marks❓in my head but I insisted kay “Ab toh jana hi hay” to prove Raza wrong 🤓.. I would admit that when I sat in the car, I was a bit nervous because the helmet was so heavy, I could barely speak or hear. The guy was repeating what to do and I wasn’t sure if I heard him right or not (American accent maybe🤨). Even when it was time to go, everybody left and I was still figuring out my buttons lol 🙈 Anyhow, I started driving, shot up the accelerator, realised it was too fast so I slowed down but was a bit frightened. I wanted to be a “sʜᴇʀɴɪ" 🐅 so just had to go with the flow. I even crashed into the passing car and kept apologising “sorry sorry.” As I reached the second round, my car was hit by another car and then smashed into the railing, really hard. All the cars took a halt and I was shaken up as you can see ⬆️. My hands were trembling and my heart was probably beating at 400 bpm that I can’t put into words. Thankfully the staff came right away, asked me if I wanted to step out of the vehicle and it took me a moment to say “ʏᴇs". The manager came up, asked me if I needed something like ice or cold water and if I needed a doctor or follow-up (that was really sweet though). I said “I had doctor friends so nothing to worry” but I had bruises on my hands, shoulder, legs, neck and it took me a whole 1 week to get rid of all the pain. So it was an experiment that went horribly wrong and I ᴅᴏɴᴛ ʀᴇᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴅ ɪᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴀɴʏᴏɴᴇ. -This video does not belong to me or Andretti. It has only been used for reference because my accident was similar.
"Moors" 2.5 x 3.5in (watercolour) 02.07.2021 I'm playing catch up with my posts today. This one is from July 2nd. I tried using salt in the foreground because I was curious about how it would look. I failed miserably and will have to keep experimenting and learning about how to use certain techniques. It pains me to post something that didn't turn out exactly what I envisioned but I think it's good for people to see that not everything will always be perfect every session.

Can’t win them all. Lost these Manjula leaves due to a propagation experiment (direct cucuk to soil cos it had roots). I normally water propagate before transferring to soil. I’m keeping the leaves in water cos sayang bah. Will wait for it to wilt naturally. Cannot move on 😓 Tingu cantik tul tu daun. Besar lagi. Haih.
