📣 CALLING ALL SMALL DOG LOVERS! 📣 We have a spicy little brat looking for a home to terrorize for the rest of his days! 🥰 Yes, you read that correctly. 👀 Meet Blaze, the 6 year old chihuahua/demon mix. 👹 Blaze would prefer that strangers don't touch him and that other animals leave him alone. He shows his displeasure by barking, spinning in circles and generally being obnoxious. 🙄 He will bark at anything that displeases him. Which is everything. Blaze is not for the faint of heart. He's got a BIG personality in a tiny, majestic body (resulting in the infamous chihuahua shakes). BUT. If you can get past his initial offputting behaviour, he's actually pretty charming? 🤔 Once he trusts you, he will insist that you carry him up the stairs, or any time he gets tired, and he will sleep on your chest at night. He also weirdly likes to sit on people's feet. Blaze is actually quite sweet the 1% of the time when he's not being rude. Oh – he's also got a grade 5 heart murmur and takes medication twice a day. 💊 At least he's well behaved for that. Update on our Parvo Pups ❤️🩹 Elara, Kahlua, and Denner have all been discharged from our vet clinic and are recovering in a foster home! 🩺 Parvo is often a deadly illness for pups their age, so we are grateful that we were able to get them the medical treatment they desperately needed. 💕 They still have a long road of recovery, but with the support of their foster home and our veterinary staff, they are getting stronger and healthier every day! 💪 Unfortunately, their bill to the emergency vet clinic is over $8,300 — and this doesn’t include the in house medical treatment we gave them at our vet clinic. 🏥 All donations towards their medical care is greatly appreciated. “Holy! In just 4 days Pia has completely come out of her shell! 🐢 It’s so nice to see what a playful, cuddly, and smart dog she is. This is absolutely not boasting. This attempt is to motivate both me and you. If someone had told me a few months ago that I would be able to run a full 42.2 km marathon, I wouldn’t have taken it seriously. But in Canada, I’ve started a new life. And one of the greatest things that has helped me cope with emotional and material difficulties in starting a new life is running. It keeps me in shape and helps structure and plan my life despite all the difficulties. Running has become one of my important guides and motivators. Never give up in any situation. Just continue to work, make improvements, and move forward! This is especially important for newcomers in Canada. This country is beautiful, and Calgary is a lovely city! Just be structured and persistent! All your difficulties will be solved step by step. There isn’t any other option. 😉 PS: just fir the information. The official @calgarymarathon date is May 26, 2024 and it’s organized by @runcalgary and @servusalberta. Todays running is just a test and part of my training. It’s extremely slow pace 😥 But, this is my reality. Hope till marathon I will be faster. My goal is to have maximum 7-7’30 pace. But I think my best result will be something around 8. PPS.: It shows two runs because after 30 km, I needed a pause and accidentally stopped the workout.
