In 2020, when all of the hair salons shut down due to the pandemic, I remember having a panic attack about my hair. It was during this time that I decided to stop perming my hair and go natural. I had already stopped coloring my hair and had begun to embrace my gray. I remember the anxiety I felt and the self-talk that I did as I was making the transition. Today, I’m so glad that I made the choice to fully embrace my natural hair journey and stay the course.
