almost caught up! napowrimo.net’s day 24 prompt was to write a poem that begins with a line from another, but goes elsewhere. got my first line from Richard Siken’s “Self-Portrait Against Red Wallpaper” and wrote with #shyprompts’ “ode to self-deprecation” prompt in mind. i think i haven’t explored this particular feeling/experience i’ve had with love yet, so it was cathartic to dig into that. - “i won’t to ask you to love me” after Richard Siken “the world doesn’t know what to do with my love, and honestly, neither do i. when i get the chance, my heart never seems to be in the right place: i want them more when they’re halfway out the door; when there’s someone to love, i’m the one ready to run. i’d rather tend to another’s wounds than expose my own. i’ve been vulnerable before, bit down my lip ‘til it bled as i peeled the gauze off my scraped-raw knee myself. it hurts less when you’re familiar with bracing yourself, easier to answer the whys when it’s only you to blame. all i want to do is love and i keep getting it wrong. but it’s hard to know what to do with gentleness when every part of me has already been tenderized, always ready to be shaped into a new dream girl mold, hoping whoever consumes me next savors me first.” - #adventurerswrite #napowrimo #glopowrimo #napowrimo2024 #glopowrimo2024

Short text I'm working on it ☺️😘 When humans we experienced so many difficulties and traumas, we get older and when life starts giving us beautiful presents and so much joy and opportunities , we believe is not for us and we cant understand why finally the universe works towards us. You need to believe that the universe gives love and joy to those who do the good. Be grateful, do the good, and create. Love is the way to make things work. But it is not about "I deserve this." Is about being grateful with small amounts of presents we receive every day since we wake up. We grow up in big cities looking for deep connections, and we travel to "disconnect." 🤣🤣🤣 Some people need retreats, and some others need to disappear for a while. Is not about disconnecting. it is about to connect with yourself, to practice emotional intelligence. When we write personal stories or we tell people about things that happened in our lives, we are in a moment of vulnerability. Vulnerability must be seen with respect and love. I want to welcome my friends to tell their story, write, sing, or paint. Whatever and no, you don't need to tell other people about it. If you want to share your story, that's beautiful. Sharing helps other people feel empathy and not feel alone in similar stories or life. P.d: I wrote this in spanglish on my notebook. taurus season motto ♉️ as a very antithesis of Taurus season, it feels like nothing in my life is solid right now so let’s look at Mars in Pisces.
