6-months complete! 📆 A couple weeks ago one of our Ranchers reached his 6-month milestone which is a major accomplishment in his journey to spiritual recovery. Adrian Angelo, our RER content coordinator, gave his first Bible study on the Book of Luke to his fellow ranchers after months of preparation. Adrian chose the book of Luke because he was able to relate to the circumstances behind the writing of the of that particular Gospel and its author. Adrian had never led a discussion about anything related to the Bible or the promises contained within which gave him a new perspective on the preparation and dedication required in leading a study. Welcome To May. Let us greet you all with love and may grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. We pray that this day, week and year has been a blessed one. We have now entered into May, which on our calendar is month five. Biblically, the number five means God’s grace which is God’s favor. However, the question is what kind of favor because there are many kinds or flavors of favor. Favor shown to the miserable is called mercy. Favor shown to the poor we call pity; favor shown to the suffering one calls compassion; favor shown to the stubborn we call patience; but favor shown to the unworthy is called grace which is divine in its source and character. This grace to the unworthy is shown in Romans 3:24 which reads, “Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.” There is no reason why God should have ever justified us and made us right in His sight but only because of His favor to us (the unworthy ones). Do not let the enemy contaminate your heart.‼️ I was looking at some pictures of mine and there is always one thing that stood out about me: MY SMILE! And I was brought back to my childhood and the things people always said about me: “ Sammy you’re always so jovial” “ Sammy you’re always welcoming and hospitable” “ Sammy you’re so wise” “ Sammy you are so loving and selfless” But over the years, I noticed that I smiled less and less. I allowed life to get the best of me. I allowed people’s misconceptions and expectations about me corrupt my heart. I allowed people’s inability to love me right break me. 👉🏾 I became bitter and angry at the world, at myself and even at God. 🚫 I allowed the enemy to contaminate my heart and my nature. And I just went into praying, crying and telling God “please restore my heart and give me the heart of a child” What is a heart of a child? 🌹 A child trusts fully. 🌹 A child depends wholely on their father/parent. 🌹 A child is carefree and fearless because they know their father/parent has their back. 🌹 A child easily forgives. 🌹 A child loves wholeheartedly. And we need to start praying this prayer: “God, give me the heart of a child. Do not let the enemy corrupt and contaminate my heart” So dear child of God, As you start this new month, guard your heart. Be pure at heart. Forgive and let go of every baggage you’ve been carrying. Smile. Laugh. Trust God. Fully depend on Him. Go to Him for everything. Become like a child and run to your father at all times. Hiiiiii, Instagram friends! I'm currently at the dentist having a little break during my appointment while they put my crowns together. I've honestly not gotten in much reading lately. I'm as busy as I get. Work, stuff at home, work, stuff at home, appointments, errands, bringing sibs to work, more stuff at home, more work.... But my life is very good: God is so merciful and good and I have countless blessings to thank Him for. I'm actually getting into scrapbooking lately, and I'm putting all my UK Royal Family pics and clippings into one. (One of the blessings in my life is that His Majesty King Charles III is up and at em again today on public engagement for the first time since his cancer diagnosis: yes, praised be God!) But I'd like to get in a bit of reading today too, especially since I'll be taking it easy today after this lengthy procedure I'm having today. “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” -2 Chronicles 20:12 When King Jehoshaphat was being faced by a mighty army of the Moabites and Ammonites, he turned to God to rescue them. These were peoples that Yahuah had told the Israelites not to drive out as they were coming into the Promised Land from Egypt, because they were descendants of Esau and Lot. So God commanded Israel to show kindness to them, yet their descendants forgot Israel’s mercy and rose up against Judah with a great army that would have destroyed them. But King Jehoshaphat turned his eyes to heaven and looked to Yahuah for counsel. Because Jehoshaphat cried out to God for help, He came and rescued Judah. Yahuah said to Jehoshaphat, “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” Then, instead of trembling in fear, the people of Judah began to shout and sing praises to God! The scriptures say that as they were singing His praises, Yahuah defeated the Ammonites and Moabites! While they were still singing praises to Him! How amazing 😱🤯 No matter how dire and hopeless our situations may seem, if we turn our eyes to heaven and look to Yahuah, seeking His counsel and salvation, He will remain faithful and answer our cries for help. Even if it seems like evil and injustice will prevail, we must always remember that in the end, God will always deliver us from evil and will execute justice. Yahuah has the final say in everything, and we already know how the story ends. All we need to do is trust in Him and sing His praises through our battles. Because the battle is not truly ours, but His, and God always wins.
