You guessed it! Distance drivers! These are my go to DDs: My @streamlinediscs Lift is my disc of choice for my shots I can really crank on get some serious distance out of. My @innovadiscs yellow star Valkyrie gives me a solid straight slight to over stable flight with a nice fade at the end. The @innovadiscs blue star Valkyrie is the queen of my bag, this disc I use for turnovers and super straight or anhyzer shots. My @innovadiscs f2 yellow Valkyrie is the newest Valkyrie to the bag and is slowly getting airtime as the blue one works its way out. The @infinitediscs Aztec is my go to forehand distance driver for those dog leg right shots or heavy headwind shots. And of course what bag would be complete without an @innovadiscs star destroyer. I played in the Johnson Park Championship this weekend. I was the only one in FPO so I got to really focus on my throws without too much pressure. I didn’t get any pictures so I’m sharing this one from a couple of weeks ago. This is hole 12 and it’s pretty intimating with a steep hill surrounding the basket. I tried a forehand and ended up parking it. I’m completely new to forehands and I’ve been working on them for the last couple of months so it’s cool to see progress on the course. Thanks to @grdgudisc for organizing this tournament. Huge congrats to @cameron_dg11 who tied for 1st place in his division. One of his first major wins. 🥲

I played in the Disc Girls @pdga_wge at Burchfield this weekend. I had such a fun and incredible experience. I bumped up to FPO after my Kentwood Classic win. I’ll be honest when I say I was anxious and intimidated. I was seriously questioning myself and my abilities after I completely bombed my practice rounds. This was the biggest FPO field I’ve played in and I recognized some names on the registration. The first round was a little rough but are you surprised? I say that every time. 😅 Second round I fixed some mistakes and made some new ones but I still managed to shave a couple strokes off. I started using some forehands for longer shots after learning and working on it for the last month. As you can see, there’s still a lot of work to be done but it got me out of some sticky situations. Most importantly, I was hitting my putts. This was the first tournament I’ve put my new putting style to work and it seems to be doing the trick. I messed up some upshots but my putts made up for it. It’s also refreshing after missing 50% of my C1 putts for the last month. 😓 I can’t tell you how many times I told myself to stay positive and move on, especially after back-to-back bogeys. By the end of the second round I felt like I actually belonged out there and wasn’t just an imposter. I accomplished my goal of shooting above my rating and I ended up in a tie for 6th. I pushed myself way out of my comfort zone with this tournament and it blew my expectations out of the water. My favorite moment of the tournament was saving par on hole 18 with a long putt (1st video). You’ll see me shake my head in the video because I couldn’t believe I did it. 😂 I decided to keep the sound on for these videos just so you can hear the support from my card mates. I met some incredible ladies out there. I love women who support women. 🥺❤️ Thank you to @cameron_dg11 for being my first ever caddy and for documenting it all. ✨ ACE #4 ✨ The only picture I managed to get from the Kentwood Classic at Jaycee Park yesterday. Usually I’m fine with how I play, but man, I’m super unsatisfied with how it went. Nothing was clicking, my timing was off which made my drives really sloppy, and there was no snap in my putts. We finally get to the last hole and one of my card mates joked and said, “Well, it’s the last hole. We all might as well go for it, right?” His disc actually almost went in. I was next on the tee and decided to run my @discraftdiscgolf Hades since I was sitting in second place. It worked because I threw it right into the center of the basket, which got me the win by ONE stroke. This brings me to a total of four aces, three of those being tournament aces, and this one being my first walk-off ace. Most definitely my favorite moment of my disc golf career. 😅 Time and time again I get these little moments that remind me to believe in myself. This one will keep me going for awhile. Happy (belated) Earth Day. 🌎 Disc golf has led me to some beautiful places. Here are some of my favorites: 1. Mt. McSauba. Easily the most beautiful course I’ve ever been to. Would you believe me if I said a Bald Eagle flew over this hill as I was walking down it? 2. Holly Woods 3. Old Farm in the fall just hits different. 4. Same with Jaycee. Don’t forget to take your yellow and orange discs out of your bag. 😅 5. Holly Woods 6. Smash Park ft. my dog, Ruby. 7. Flip City 8. Grand Isle / Rotary. I’ve found this is one of the best courses for sunset rounds. Don’t forget to respect your planet & pick up your trash as you play. 🗑

I went into my first FPO tournament with no expectations besides gaining experience. My first round wasn’t great. I didn’t trust myself and the decisions I was making. I finished +1 and was sitting in 2nd place. I went into break feeling unsatisfied. I told myself I can do better, and I did. The vibes felt completely different after we teed off for the second round. I was correcting the mistakes I made during the first round and I finally felt like myself while I was playing. I stopped being careful and replaced it with confidence. I shot a hot second round, ending at -5. This put me at a 926 rated round, my highest rated round yet. I ended up taking 1st by 4 strokes. Ultimately, my mental game is what got me this win. I didn’t let negativity into my head and I kept my cool when things went wrong, and I’m most proud of myself for that. With this win in FPO, ya girl is now a classified professional disc golfer. 😎 Super thankful to have @greatlakesdisc as a sponsor. I’ve gotten so many opportunities thanks to them.
