Navratri Special FASTING RECIPE Try out this non fried version of savoury sabudana wada. "NON FRIED BREAD PAKODA" Weather demands for bread pakodas but tried in a different way today and also NON FRIED( best part) Ingredients: 3 Bread slices 1.5 tbsp Roasted Besan(gram flour) 2tbsp fresh Hung curd(hung for atleast 1hour) 1/4tsp Ginger garlic paste Red chilli powder Salt to taste Kasoori methi Pinch of Turmeric Garam masala Coriander powder Roasted cumin powder Butter If curd is sour you can add bit of powdered sugar as well to balance the flavour. Method: 🍞Take a bowl add all the ingredients and mix well to make a smooth batter. Make sure the batter should not be runny. 🍞Apply a spoonful of batter on the batter on one side 🍞Heat up a non stick pan and add butter then put the bread slice and let it turn golden brown on high flame. Before you flip the bread apply the batter on the other side of the bread too and cook untill golden brown. Or you can simply dip the slice into the batter and then cook. The chiles taste a lot better than they look 😂 I was planning on making traditional chiles rellenos and substituting the flour with almond flour. I got home late from work so instead, I improvised and skipped the egg batter, flour coat, and frying of the chiles. I instead fried beaten eggs (as if making an omelet) and threw it over my clean chiles that I stuffed with 3 kinds of cheese. I simmered the chiles on the stovetop in my cast iron Dutch oven. The flavor was amazing. Tawa manchurian 😁 flavours exactly the same but not fried. Crispy on both the sides. Equal parts (half cup cabbage and half cup carrots) minced coarsely in a processsor and added 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and salt and pepper powder. Along with 4 tbsp rice flour (till you get a moist good consistency, neither runny nor hard). Spread on a hot girdle with 1 tsp ghee/oil and let it sit in low flame for 4-5 mins on each side. Idli Shashlik One of the best recipes I've come across for using the leftover Idlis, especially when you don't want to deep fry them is this tangy spicy grilled delicacy. Super quick to make and tastes heavenly. Ingredients- 1) Idlis- 8-10 pieces 2) Onion-1 medium 3) Capsicum- 2 medium 4) Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp 5) Tomato puree(ready made)- 1tbsp 6) Sambar powder- 1 tbsp 7) Salt as per taste 8) Oil for grilling Method- 1) Cut Idlis into four pieces each and keep aside. 2) Cut onions into two halves and seperate out the layers. Cut capsicum into cubes. 3) Heat oil in a grilling pan or you can use any non stick pan as well. 4) Add ginger garlic paste, onions and capsicum cubes and stir fry on high flame for about 2 minutes. 5) Now add tomato puree, salt and Sambar powder. Mix well. 6) Finally add Idlis and mix everything gently together. 7) Let the idlis become crispy from all sides. Then switch off the flame and sprinkle chat masala. 8) If you have skewers available at home. Insert masala coated pieces of Idlis along with onions and capsicum and serve hot in barbeque style. For more such, follow me and Subscribe to my Youtube channel -link in bio Ingredients for Rava Masala Idli Rava (Suji) – 1 Cup Curd – 1 Cup Water – ½ Cup or as required Baking Soda- ¾ Tsp Salt to taste   For Tempering (Tadka) Mustard Seeds – 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds – ½ Tsp Urad Dal – ½ Tsp Kaju – 1 Tbsp Curry Leaves – 3 to 4 Oil – 1 Tsp Butter – ½ Tsp Hing (asafoetida) – 1 pinch   Process : 1.       To 1 cup of rava add, 1 cup of curd. Mix well add salt and leave it for 10 minutes. 2.       After 10 minutes add required water to make Idli batter. 3.       For Tadka – Heat oil in a tadka pan, once the oil is hot, keep the flame to sim. Add mustard seed, cumin seeds. 4.       Once the seeds start to splutter add, urad dal and kaju. Fry for 50 seconds to 1 minute. Switch off the gas and add hing and curry leaves. 5.       Add this tadka to idli batter 6.       Finally add baking soda to idli batter and mix well. (Mix in 1 direction only) 7.       Grease the idli mould and fill 3/4th of the mould. 8.       Add ½ cup of water in the idli steamer and let it boil. Put the idli stand inside and close the lid. In a bowl add boiled whole green moong, peeled and boiled raw banana, oats flour, finely chopped onion, coriander, ginger and green chilli paste, chaat masala, red chilli powder, pink himalayan salt, mash it well, knead the dough and prepare tikki from it. Oats and moong dal vada Recipe credit - @tarladalal This Vada are protein rich, fiber rich and are non fried which makes it healthy and delicious. Soak urad dal, green moong dal for 8 hours. Heat the pan and roast the oats and add the roasted oats in a the mixer to prepare the oats flour. In a mixer add soaked dals,ginger, green chilli paste,pink Himalayan Salt, water as required and blend it well. In a bowl add oats flour and dal mixture prepared and mix it well to prepare the batter. Grease the appe mould with coconut oil, pour the batter into the appe mould. Once it is cooked from one side, grease the other side of the wada with coconut oil and flip it with a wooden stick. Once the wada is cooked from both the sides, soak the wada for 5 minutes, remove the excess water from it. Add low fat yogurt mixed with pink Himalayan Salt , chilli powder, cumin powder on the wada prepared and serve it immediately. Midnight chaat cravings. This preparation is something called kachalu which is prepared primarily with boiled potatoes, curd and a roasted cumin-chilli powder. Here’s how this bowl of chaat was served: Boiled potatoes sliced. Curd was whisked with black salt and a little sugar and poured over the potatoes. Then chopped green chillies. Cumin and red chillies were roasted and sprinkled on top. Then some haldiram nutcrackers and a light sprinkle of sev. Sabudana Vada INGREDIENTS (This makes 12 vadas) 1 cup overnight soaked sabudana 3 boiled potatoes mashed 1/2 cup roasted and crushed peanuts 1 green chili finely chopped 3 tbsp Coriander chopped 1/2 tsp ginger salt to taste 1 tsp jeera 1 tbsp ghee METHOD ( Made in a Paniyaram pan) 1.
