EASY slow cooker family meal 🥥 This curry is on weekly rotation at our house, it’s absolutely delicious cooked in the slow cooker and the chicken is beautifully tender. Just turn on the slow cooker in the morning and chuck in the ingredients, you can even prep the night before so it’s super quick to put together in the morning, then come home to a delicious healthy family meal everyone will love. You can use any curry paste you like in this curry, I like the brand pataksuk they have loads of options - it just depends how spicy your family like their curries, if your serving this to very small children start with a gentle spice and build up their tolerance. #Food_Platter_21 : 🤍🍽️🧑‍🍳 Crispy Brocolli 65 ❣️😋 Kids definitely will love and ask for more 😍Try this receipe and comment below dears!! *INGREDIENTS* 🥦1 Medium Sized Brocolli 🥦1 Cup flour of any ( Bengal gram / Baji flour ) 🥦1 Cup Rice Flour 🥦1/2 Cup Corn Flour 🥦1 Tsp Pepper Powder 🥦1 Tsp Cumin Powder 🥦1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder 🥦A pinch of Turmeric Powder 🥦1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Crushed 🥦1 Handful of Curry leaves ( Finely Chopped ) 🥦1 Handful of Coriander Leaves ( Finely Chopped ) 🥦1 Tsp Rock Salt 🥦 Little amount of Water *RECEIPE* 🥦Take all flours ( Bengal gram or Baji flour, Rice flour, Corn flour ) in a kadai. 🥦Add Pepper Powder, Cumin Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder. 🥦Add a tsp of Ginger Garlic Crushed. 🥦Add chopped Curry Leaves & Coriander Leaves. 🥦Add a tsp of Rock Salt. 🥦Mix all ingredients with little water ( not too watery nor too thick ) Consistency is important; so that it won't suck more oil 🥦 Take Brocolli -> Cleaned and Washed and put it on hot water for 2 mins with turmeric and salt -> To kill the worms inside. 🥦Add Brocolli into prepared masala and coat it well. 🥦 Let it Marinate for 1-2 hours. 🥦After 2 hrs, Brocolli was coated well with masala. 🥦Heat oil in a pan. 🥦Once oil is hot, add Brocollis one by one. 🥦In a medium flame, deep fry the Brocollis. Once you’ve made them a couple of times you won’t even need to measure the ingredients - just throw it all in a bowl, give it a good mix and make the list delicious moist pancakes 😍 Love my pancake pan - I’d be lost without it! Squash, Coconut milk and coriander Dhal Curry With Autumn here and Halloween around the corner, I’m making the most of the season’s best ingredients 🎃 The soft sweet Squash in this recipe is so flavourful, cooked with mild spices and thickened to make a yummy sauce with coconut milk. This is the perfect 1st veggie curry for baby to try from 6 months and likewise the whole family. I just make a big portion of it in advance or prepped in about 20 mins in my Nutribaby food prep maker and will do for multiple meals for up to 3 days. SAVE and try this recipe this week♡ Ingredients 300g chopped butternut squash 60g dried red lentils (rinsed) 1 large tomato chapped 1 small white onion diced 1 heaped tsp Garam masala 1/2 tsp turmeric 150ml coconut milk 1 tsp garlic purée 1/2 tsp ginger purée Small handful of coriander Method Add the lentils and 60ml water to the cooking vessel of the Nutribaby then place the steaming jug on top with the butternut squash, then stack the steaming basket on top with the onion and chopped tomato Steam everything for around 15 minutes, carefully remove the steaming jug lid and allow to cool slightly Add the tomatoes, onion and half of the butternut squash to the attached blending jug, then add the Garam masala, turmeric, ginger, garlic, coconut milk and coriander. Pulse blend until a smooth sauce in created Add the rest of the butternut squash and the lentils to the sauce and use a spoon to mix Serve the butternut squash dal by itself or with cooked basmati rice. Monster Cookies Ingredients: 1/2 cup (8 Tbsp; 113g) salted butter, softened to room temperature 1/2 cup (100g) packed light brown sugar 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar 3/4 cup (185g) creamy peanut butter 1 large egg, at room temperature 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 and 1/4 cups (156g) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled) 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup (43g) quick oats 3/4 cup (150g) M&Ms (any size or variety) 1/2 cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips Directions: Preheat oven to 350F (177C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. In a large bowl, using a hand-held mixer or stand mixer with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugars together on medium speed for about 3 minutes. Mix in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla in that order. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Slowly mix in the baking soda, flour, and salt. Do not over-mix. On low speed, beat in the quick oats, M&Ms, and chocolate chips just until incorporated. If the dough is very soft and unmanageable by hand, chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling. Roll balls of dough, about 2 Tablespoons of dough per ball, onto the prepared baking sheet. Press a few extra M&Ms on top for looks, if preferred. Bake for 11-13 minutes—the cookies will still look a little soft, which is recommended. Kids have the power to push you to the limit and keep giving you moments to choose and become the best version of yourself. Baking for me has always been a scary territory. This little man is very fond of cakes and bakery stuff. It was the first day of Summer holidays yesterday and out of all the easy things I could bake, my mind wanted to play with some complex flavours. I baked a WHOLE WHEAT ORANGE TEA CAKE! I've never imagined in my wildest dreams to bake something like this. The ingredients I used are mentioned below Whole wheat flour Fresh OJ Jaggery Dessicated coconut Orange zest Pistachios Cashews Ghee Little milk And ofcourse Baking powder The flavours came together so sooo well. Everything together was a match made in heaven. The little man had the longest 1 hour of his l as he kept visiting the kitchen like a thousand times while I prepped and baked. The most difficult time for him was the wait while the cake had to be rested and brought to room temperature before unmoulding. After almost 75 mins or so, the wait was over and he could savour this deliciousness! Easy Slow Cooker Meal 🍂 This is your sign to turn your slow cooker on! I’m still obsessing over slow cooker season, it’s so perfect for us busy mums and dads who have mouths to feed at the end of a long day! This is a cross between chilli con carne and macaroni cheese - don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! Two of my favourite meals combined into one - and it’s a minimal effort slow cooker meal 🥹 So if you’re loving your slow cooker follow along for more, I’ll be posting a few new recipes a week 🙋🏼‍♀️ Chilli Mac and Cheese Serves 4-6 portions Suitable from 6 months Ingredients 500g beef mince 200g macaroni pasta 500g passata 1 - 2 tsp verylazyfooduk chopped garlic (or 2 cloves crushed) 1 tin of kidney beans (water drained) 2 bell peppers chopped (any colour) 1 onion diced 70g frozen or tinned sweetcorn 400ml beef stock (substitute with zero salt stock or water if feeding to children under the age of 1) My Baby Mexican Spice Mix: * 1 tsp garlic power * 1/2 tsp paprika * 1 tsp oregano * 1tsp cumin * 1/4 tsp smoked paprika * 1 pinch cinnamon * 1/4 tsp turmeric * 1/4 tsp chilli powder * 100g grated cheddar cheese Method Add all of the ingredients aside from the macaroni and the cheese to the slow cooker. Mix well breaking up the mince meat as you mix. Cook in high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours In the final 30 minutes of cooking time, carefully remove the lid and add the macaroni, half the cheese and optional coriander. Mix well and place the lid on top Remove the lid 10 minutes before you’re ready to serve and place the rest of the cheese on top. I love them because they taste like the ones you get from McDonald’s which is my guilty pleasure! However these are more healthy and baked instead of fried. You can make this recipe suitable for babies under the age of 12 months, just make your own apple sauce with no added sugar (or use an apple baby food purée) and leave out the maple syrup. Mini Apple Pies 🍎 Suitable from 12 months (see notes on how to adapt for 6 months) Ingredients 1/2 a sheet of ready made shortcrust pastry 8 tsp apple sauce 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder 1/2 tbsp maple syrup 1 egg Method Use a knife or pizza cutter to slice the pastry into 4 rectangular slices, place them on a lined baking tray In a small bowl mix together the apple sauce, cinnamon and maple syrup. If you want to treat your little one(s) with this delicious recipe, just follow the instructions 👇🏼 For 8 waffles: DH Purple Sweet Potato Waffle Mix 190g Dry yeast 2g Milk 50ml Egg 1 Butter 20g Mix all the ingredients together except for the butter. Soften the butter slightly and knead it into the dough, then continue kneading until the dough becomes smooth. Let the dough ferment until it doubles in size, which should take approximately 45 minutes (or you can refrigerate it for low-temperature fermentation and shape and bake it the next day). After the dough has fermented, knead shortly again to release the air and divide it into 8 small portions. Flatten each portion and shape them to fit the waffle iron. Let them rest for 15 minutes. Chocolate Banana (🍫🍌) Muffins - I’ve shared this easy recipe before but posting it again with a slight tweak in the ingredients. These soft and moist muffins are perfect for lunchbox or during snack time! ⚠️Tip: I usually freeze some of them in a ziplock bag for future emergencies where I don’t have snacks ready for school. Recipe: 2-3 ripe bananas (about 230g~) 95g sour cream (Tatua brand is the best!) 85g honey 1 tsp vanilla extract 70g coconut oil 1 egg 210g plain flour 1 tsp baking soda 20g cocoa powder A pinch of salt 80-100g chocolate chips (more for toppings) Preparation: 1. Preheat oven 190C & line muffin moulds. 2. Add bananas into TM bowl. Mash 5sec/sp6. Scrape down. 3. Add sour cream, honey, oil, egg, vanilla and mix 15sec/sp4 or until well combined. 4. Add flour, baking soda, cocoa powder & salt. Mix 5sec/sp4. Scrape down and mix again for 2-3 seconds more (but don’t over-mix). 5. Fold through chocolate chips with spatula. 6. Divide mixture into muffin cups cases. Sprinkle the top with more chocolate chips (optional). 8. Bake for 15-18mins or until cooked through. Sonic you love cauliflower cheese you will LOVE this recipe - I also topped ours with crispy bacon which is a delicious addition, although keep in mind bacon isn’t suitable for babies under the age of 1. You don’t need to follow the exact amount of this recipe to a “T” just add enough milk so it’s a smooth consistency. If you’re a fan of a creamy chicken pasta dish you will LOVE this one It’s a really delicious family meal, both of my littles and husband gobbled the whole lot - everyone had seconds 🤌🏼 Here’s their recipe - let me know if you love it. This recipe is suitable from 1 years as I use chicken stock to make the roux, if you’re feeding a baby who is under 1 then leave it out (you can always add the cheese to the sauce instead to make a cheese sauce, then it’s suitable from 6 months just make sure the chicken is shredded or served in large pieces before serving) Ingredients 500g diced chicken breast 200g broccoli Around 7 lasagne sheets 300g cheddar cheese 1/2 tbsp oregano 1/2 tbsp paprika 1/2 tbsp garlic powder For the white sauce: 500ml of semi skimmed milk 1/2 tbs butter 2 1/2 tbsp flour 1 chicken stock cube Method Add a little olive oil to a frying pan and season with the herbs and spices, stir continuously while cooking on a medium high heat until it just turns brown Meanwhile, boil the broccoli until just soft, then finely chop with a sharp knife To make the white sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan and add the chicken stock cube and the flour and whisk until it becomes a thick paste, then gradually add the milk stirring as you go to create a roux In a medium - large casserole dish, start to layer your lasagne. Add the broccoli and chicken to the bottom before spooning over some of the sauce and 1/4 of the cheese, before adding the lasagne sheets on top and a little more sauce (don’t forget to spread the sauce over the pasta sheets) Repeat this two more times, then top the lasagne with a little more white sauce and cheese Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 200c and allow to cool before serving #familyrecipes #kidsrecipes #familymeals #easyrecipes #onepanrecipes #lasagne #chickenlasagna #chickenalfredo #weaning #toddlerrecipes #kidsrecipes #blw #blwideas

Sonic you love cauliflower cheese you will LOVE this recipe - I also topped ours with crispy bacon which is a delicious addition, although keep in mind bacon isn’t suitable for babies under the age of 1. You don’t need to follow the exact amount of this recipe to a “T” just add enough milk so it’s a smooth consistency. CUTIES 🥰 Got some little munchkins at home that need entertainment. This recipe is super easy and fun for the kids to make. THUMBPRINT BISCUITS A lovely simple recipe created by Amy Wong Kam for us way back in the early days of Ripe. These are foolproof and fun biscuits to make with small kids. Oat bran is full of dietary fibre and adds a lovely flavour to these biscuits, you can find oat bran and spelt flour in health food stores VEGAN | DF | CONTAINS NUTS (ALMONDS) Makes 20 1 cup (100g) OAT BRAN 1 cup (100g) GROUND ALMONDS 1 cup (125g) PLAIN SPELT FLOUR or WHOLEMEAL FLOUR ½ cup (125ml) VEGETABLE OIL or COCONUT OIL ½ cup (125ml) MAPLE SYRUP ¼ cup (75g) good quality BERRY or PLUM JAM - more options in the Tip below! Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a baking tray with baking paper. In a large mixing bowl combine the oat bran, ground almonds and spelt flour or wholemeal flour. Pour in the oil and maple syrup and mix until well combined. Roll into walnut sized balls and flatten them slightly, place on the baking tray and using your thump push down to leave a small indentation in the middle of each biscuit. Place half teaspoonful of jam into the indent. Place in the oven to bake for 12 - 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring onto a wire rack to cool completely. The kids love it, I love it, it’s really healthy and you can use any meat or meat substitute you like. Quick to whip up, and even quicker to disappear. 🧑‍🍳 A tried and true way to sneak some extra greens into the kiddos diet while utilizing your homegrown produce, give this mouthwatering zucchini bread recipe a try. 1 Cup All Purpose flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 Cup canola oil 1/2 Cup sugar 1/4 Cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 Cup sour cream 1 1/2 Cups homegrown zucchini grated and strained Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a large 9" bread pan and set aside. Whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl until combined. Set aside. In a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, beat together sugars, oil, and eggs for about 1-2 minutes until slightly fluffy. Add vanilla and sour cream. Fold in the grated zucchini. Add the remaining dry flour ingredients. Stir to combine and pour into the prepared 9" bread pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Let cool for about 5-10 minutes and remove from the pan and enjoy. Pletenice s mirisom djetinjstva 💫 Recept je iz @digokvasac kuharice baš pod ovim nazivom koji ju savršeno opisuje 👌 ➡️ SASTOJCI 500 g glatkog brašna 1/2 kockice svježeg kvasca 200 ml tople vode 50 ml ulja 1 jaje 1 žličica soli mlijeko za premazivanje sjemenke za posipanje Pola kockice svježeg di-go kvasca razmutite u 50 ml mlake vode i žličicom šećera. U preostalu vodu dodajte ulje, jaje i sol. U posudu za miješanje prosijte brašno i postupno mu dodajite vodu s uljem, jajem i soli, te na kraju dodajte razmućeni kvasac. Dobro izmiješajte i zamijesite glatko tijesto. Ostavite da se odmori 5 minuta, te nastavite miješati dok tijesto ne postane potpuno glatko. Ostavite ga na toplom mjestu prekrivenog folijom. Kada se tijesto udvostruči, podijelite ga na 4 jednaka dijela i stavite na površinu posutu brašnom. Od svakog dijela oblikujte 4 trake od kojih ispletite pletenice i ostavite na toplom oko 40 minuta. Pećnicu prethodno zagrijte na 200 °C. Pletenice premažite mlijekom i pospite sjemenkama te pecite 25 minuta. Od ove količine dobiju se 4 veće pletenice. Vegan κορμός χωρίς γλυκαντικά Υλικά 2 ώριμες μπανάνες 2 κ.σ. κακάο άγλυκο 2 κ.σ. φουντουκοβούτυρο ( ή άλλο βούτυρο καρπού) 5 φράουλες 2 κ.σ. σταφίδες 5 φρυγανιές τύπου wasa 4 κ.σ. ποπ δημητριακών ( η τριμμένη ρυζογκοφρέτα) Σε ένα μπολ λιώνουμε την μπανάνα με ένα πιρούνι ή στον πολυκόφτη. Έπειτα, προσθέτουμε, το κακάο, το φουντουκοβούτυρο και ανακατεύουμε καλά για να ενοποιηθούν τα υλικά. Προσθέτουμε τις φράουλες κομμένες σε μικρά κομμάτια, τις σταφίδες, τις φρυγανιές, που θρυμματίζουμε με τα χέρια και τα ποπ. Απλώνουμε το μίγμα σε μακρόστενη φόρμα σιλικόνης ή σε απλή με αντικολλητικό χαρτί και αφήνουμε στην κατάψυξη για 3 ώρες.
