I know this Instagram page is for my business, but I just wanted to share a personal part of my life. I have tendencies to hold onto material things, mostly because "I might need them." A lot of those things are journals, pens, paints, canvases, etc. Even if I've had them for years and never used them, I always seem to hold onto them. I'm currently attempting to make my dreams a reality and my home- my art room, specifically- has so much clutter! I don't think I've been able to bring my dream to life because there hasn't been space. I know that might sound silly, but physically cleaning and physically removing old items from your home can be very symbolic and help you clean out old energy from your mind and soul. My goal is to have my space and myself ready to accept new energy by February 1st because a very big event is happening: I won't have an office job, anymore! Continued from yesterday...If you missed yesterday's post, go back and read it. Tons of information about grocery shopping, grocery budget, meal planning, and meal prepping. I've included a photo of my current meal plan. You will notice I don't have 30 suppers listed. I have about half of that and let me tell you why. Sometimes I like to be spontaneous with meals. Sometimes what I have planned doesn't sound good and other times we are out and about and get home later than expected. So I always have our staples on hand. Easy, healthy, delicious meals ready to go when life happens. For example, when the kids were here, we had steaks. (I actually purchased a tri-tip roast and cut it into steaks, and had some left over.) With the uncooked left overs, instead of putting them in the freezer, I used some of the green beans and tortellini (that didn't get eaten when the kids were here) and make beef tips over noodles. That wasn't originally on the menu but it was quick, easy and used up ingredients. This money journey is meant to be FLEXIBLE!! When you are too strict with it, it causes anxiety and guilt. Those feelings are so 2023!! 2024 means you are flexible with your grocery budget and intentional with your spending 💚 When we get home from the big shopping trip, we start to break things up into more appropriate portions for the two of us. We use our vacuum sealer to make things airtight for the freezer. Little to no waste! All of this takes me about 4-5 hours. Can that be a lot all at once? Sure. But think about it. How much time to you spend each week putting together a grocery list, going to the store, putting stuff away, being frustrated because you didn't plan out the nights meals, and spending money at the drive thru. This was inspired by a platform guideline I recently read. The guideline is full of limitations and restrictions to control what we can and cannot say. I was appalled at what I read. I didn't agree and you too have the right not to agree to nonsense. This particular guideline says you are in violation if you say certain things. Yet, the guidline is in violation of the first amendment right to free speech and universal law. I asked my Spirit Guides to help me write a poetic piece in reference to the guideline. As it turns out, it is not a poem. I understood that they wanted me to write it straight to the point without pointing fingers and judgement. We all must stand up and speak truth. Do not let anyone stop you from exercising your birthright to freedom of speech and freedom to live your life as you choose. Keep in mind, those who utilize control by trying to silence you and tell you how you can and can't live your life; say what they want and live their life as they please. Yet, when you do it, they say you are in violation. Turn it around and say, "You are in violation of my birthright to freedom." Carry on do no harm and let yourself be free to speech and life. What is "Shadow Work?" Shadow work is making the unconscious conscious. Bringing the light of consciousness to those places within that you've kept hidden, even from yourself. Fears, pain, trauma that are the building blocks for negative core belief systems that are out of alignment with your true essence. Maybe things like I'm not good enough, I'm not smart, confident, it's not safe to speak up or set boundaries. Your unconscious mind has a big influence on your thoughts, feelings and perspective on life and much of the time what's down there is not serving your greatest good. Shadow work involves going in the direction of what's causing discomfort and following those threads. Exploring whats been lurking beneath the surface, diving you.. Being with the emotions, understanding where that energy has been stored, with awareness you can express and release. We can often get to a moment that feeling was first present, connect in with that version of you and bring healing there. The old energy/emotion and associated perspective is transformed. You are no longer stuck and now able to show up in a completely new way.
