Sunday: Vegan Roast which consisted of all our faves but in minature on a side plate. Mashed carrot & swede, celeriac colcannon, roasties with roasted red onion, garlic cloves, fresh thyme and I threw in some lemongrass, it worked! Naked sprouts with stuffing and marmalade gravy! Mum loves a roast so I made it for her really. Massive thumbs up! 👍🏻🥦🥕 . . Breakfast: Keeping it simple with Beans on seeded toast, so not to overwhelm with too much new stuff all at once! . . A bit of light lunch reading whilst the boys snooze. So I am thinking and starting with the chickens, they are good we have that under control and some chicks due. Then I am thinking guinea fowl, because we are a bit snakey here. I hear they are good at keeping pests at bay. Two Berkshire pigs, looking at getting in the coming weeks, but must do my research and ensure the fencing is tight! Then bee hives, I would love to have. I know nothing about it, how hard it might be or what’s involved. Need to make sure we know what we are getting ourselves into, before committing to any livestock. But exciting times and throw the orchard and veggie garden plans into the mix, it will be a busy year. Next year it will be sheep to finish things off nicely. So popped along to a little Yin yoga workshop the other day at #anandprakash #yogaashram #rishikesh 🕉 I usually find yin quite difficult at home as I've such a busy life and with that comes a busy mind. As such holding poses for 3-6 minutes although doesn't sound long can be quite a challenge for me. 😬 Especially when it comes to those god damn hips! 🙈 #hipsdontlie - Ah yes...... those hips again. The storehouses of emotions of our past clinging on waiting to be dealt with 🤦♀️ #slowlyslowlycatchamonkey I always love learning, #everydayisaschoolday, so I love a workshop for how informative they are, which this was no exception. Learning about the Meridians, in particular focusing on the water element and kidney and urinary meridians, I came to learn that these if these are not in balance, we will find issues with #anxiety mood swings, low energy, thinning/loss of hair, infertility, #tinnitus feelings of fear and low self worth, feeling confused, even lost in our world, without a sense of direction. We've all been there right? We were then led through a yummy 90 minutes of yin postures to #detox the back body and release blockages along the kidney meridian lines. This allows the kidneys to do their thing by 'flushing out' waste in our bodies so blood can flow freely and nourish our cells. When we have a lot of built up stress in the spine hips and legs, we need a release through those areas so the kidney meridian can flow energy effectively. When clear, our minds are clear, we're confident and vibrant and in balance. ☯️ The process of getting there though is highly likely to bring up some 'crap' in the form of tears. It's all part of the detox and releasing. So just #letitbe and #letgo #release I probably should be posting a #pachimottanasana at this point but after the class I discovered this stunning #wallart and a #heartopening #asana felt more apt for me at that time. The journey to self discovery and self love again may be a long one. But I'm determined to come back stronger than ever, doing my best to keep my heart open without fear along the way.
