Chegados a Oviedo, bela cidade asturiana, fiquei surpreendido com a quantidade de estátuas e esculturas presentes, nem a Carolina Patrocínio tem tanto bronze em finais de Abril. . A manhã, começou cedo, que informação dramática e nova, se não fosse eu, coisas haveria que nunca iriam saber. De nada... . Rumo a Grado, ou Grau, fizemos uma viagem ao nosso nível, sim, nosso, desta feita, trouxe 2 discípulos que querem ver de perto o que é ser um gurue do caminho. . Pomposidade, soltura, magia, e um casal Koreano muito simpático que proporcionou um daqueles momentos típicos do Caminho. Não sabes o que são? Tira o cu do sofá, e saberás, um dia, se calhar bem. . Almoço agradável, em que o postre foi quase tão caro como a rescisão que o Esseelevê se prepara para pagar ao xaimiti. . Chegamos ao destino final, soubemos que nos esperava uma orquestra filarmónica, mas teve que ir embora antes da nossa chegada, tinham consi6marcada no centro de saúde, e já sabemos como são essas coisas. . Depois de nos instalarmos num dos albergues mais bonitos que encontrei até hoje, fomos dar uma volta e beber um refresco típico daqui, a Cidra, uma espécie de Caprisonne, mas mais macio, surpreendentemente, fiquei com a sensação que devia ter parado na 30a garrafa. . Preparado para jantar, e ter uma boa noite de sono, amanhã, há mais. . Camino Portugués memories day nine - 29 April 2022. Another ten miler from O Porriño to Redondela. A beautiful sunny day so perfect walking weather. It was on this stretch that there was a really steep downhill section - I had to get my hiking poles out in case I toppled over under the weight of my backpack. It would have been a quick way to the bottom anyway if I’d rolled. 😂 Redondela is a really pretty town so, after a delicious baby squid sandwich for lunch, I spent the afternoon exploring. Day 22 on the camino and 26km to Waldkappel, in the center of Germany. The landcape is changing bit by bit, becoming more hilly everyday. The architecture is also changing slightly. There are more of these churches with the painted ceilings, and more and more of these beautiful houses with the wood on their walls (I can't remember how they are called). The people are very friendly, greeting us on the way, smiling and asking us where we are going (well I don't do much talking but I try to understand a bit). Day 24 - 🥾 Camino Frances 🇫🇷 🇪🇸 ℹ️ - Monday 29 April 2024 Weather: Absolutely perfect! Route: O Pedrouzo ➡️ Santiago de Compestela Accommodation: Hotel Plaza Obraidoiro - private room 🥾Total distance: 12.4 miles / 19.96 km 🆙 Total Ascent: 1201 feet / 366 m ⏬ Total Descent: 1296 feet / 395 m 🌟Highlights: It is done!!! Woke up to an absolute perfect weather day and left at 8 AM. Within minutes on the way, I saw hundreds of pilgrims. It was incredible to see everyone on the way heading to Santiago. I reached the cathedral few minutes before noon and was greeted by the call to worship bells. It was really a moment to remember. I spent the first hour laying in the square on my backpack with my shoes off - just soaking it all in (and helping others with photos - what’s up with everyone wanting a jumping photo??!). My hotel is about 10 m (30 feet) from the plaza and they allowed me to check in two hours early. Just a splendid ending to the 24 day, 800 km/500 mile, journey. ⛰️Challenges: It’s hard to write this but my biggest challenge was sitting in the moment with my feelings. I was a bit swept away with feelings of remembrance for my Mother who passed away a few months ago. It just goes to show that love, grief, sadness, and satisfaction can all exist at once and in one unexpected moment. 💭 Thoughts: The entry to the cathedral from the Camino Frances is about 10x than from the Camino Portuguese. The CP ends with lots of city walking (3-4 miles / 7 km) while the CF has a much shorter city walk. I just absolutely loved it all. So what’s next? Well, I’m sleeping in and then heading out to the “end of the world” to Finisterre and Muxia. I want to reach KM 0 (Zero) - there is a KM 0 at both locations - and I want to be able to say that I walked across Spain from east to west. Forecast shows 6 straight days of rain-I may regret it but I’m going! Buen Camino! #caminodesantiago Day 3: Zubiri to Pamplona (21km) Walked most of the way today with Irina from Russia and realized how much I missed speaking any of my native languages 😁 It was a beautiful cloudy day, just the perfect temperature for me. Walking on paved roads though isn’t fun for my feet so as a little reward when getting to Pamplona bought some pain relief gel, some compression socks and special insoles to test and see if anything makes it easier 🤞 Also had my first experience of the Spanish siesta where pretty much everything is closed for like 2.5h in the middle of the day 😄 Absolutely fascinating.

| 15/04/2024 Étape 23, J1 : Moissac ➡️ Auvillar 21 km - 502,25 km cumulés depuis le Puy-en-Velay en 2022. Ma rencontre avec Nicole s'est avérée très intense sur presque tous les plans. Auvergnate pur jus (je ne me lancerai sur aucune polémique), c'est une belle personnalité brute de décoffrage et cabossée par la vie comme beaucoup de marcheurs qui entreprennent le chemin de Compostelle. Une femme très touchante. Et il se trouve que nous avons plusieurs gîtes en commun. C'est ainsi que nous cheminons ensemble quelques jours et que je l'écoute parler. Elle avait besoin de parler. Le Chemin parfois c'est une thérapie à ciel ouvert. Une amie rencontrée sur mon dernier tronçon, m'avait justement dit que souvent, il s'opère cet échange bienveillant entre pèlerin, tantôt c'est nous qui avons besoin de parler, tantôt c'est nous qui écoutons et la marche permet cette présence à soi, à l'autre. La météo du jour est mitigée, la marche pas trop difficile encore sur cette étape et nous arrivons chez Frédéric au Par'Chemin, un gîte qui m'avait été conseillé par un contact IG. Les réseaux ont du bon parfois. En chemin, Nicole n'avait pas de logement pour le lendemain. Comme j'avais réservé sur Lectoure déjà, je lui conseille donc d'appeler Retno. ~ 🇩🇪 In A Gudiña trennen sich die Wege. Die Südroute führt über Verín nach Ourense, die Nordroute, die wir wählten, über Laza dorthin. Bei herrlichem Wetter bewegten wir uns auf ca. 1000 m und genossen die schönen Ausblicke. Vorbei an der Embalse das Portas gelangten wir bergab zum Etappenziel Campobecerros. 🇬🇧 In A Gudiña, the two routes diverge. The southern route leads via Verín to Ourense, the northern route, which we chose, leads there via Laza. In wonderful weather, we walked at an altitude of around 1000 m and enjoyed the beautiful views. 29.04.2024 Partir. C'est peut-être le plus difficile. Voilà déjà plusieurs jours que je compte les "dernières fois". Dernière fois où je vais au bureau. Où je mets une robe (ou pas, il faisait bien trop mauvais !). Où je pars en villégiature. Où je m'éveille dans de vrais draps. Où j'applique un sérum sous ma crème 😂 Rien de tel qu'un départ pour se rendre compte du confort dans lequel on nage au quotidien. Et puis, il y a les hésitations, les peurs. La météo n'est pas vraiment au beau fixe, ça ne vous aura pas échappé. Alors, privilégier le matériel chaud ou léger ? Jusqu'au dernier moment, je doute. Ce matin-même, en enfilant une polaire neuve, d'un rouge vif, je me suis dite : elle est belle, mais serrée. Alors, confort ou style ? Réponse : confort. Mais si ce n'était qu'une question de style, ça irait 😅 Le plus dur, c'est de ne pas savoir. S'il ne pleuvra pas trop, si les hébergements auront de la place pour mon "drap de soie" et moi, si les passages moches ne seront pas trop nombreux, si je me sentirai en sécurité, si les dortoirs ne seront pas "trop" bruyants. Si j'arriverai au bout. Et pourquoi je m'impose ça, tout simplement. Pourtant, je l'ai déjà fait et c'était bien, non ?? Bref, avec tout ça en tête, et un réveil à 5h pétantes, vous comprendrez que j'ai passé la nuit à cogiter. Plutôt qu'à dormir. Oups ! Quand le réveil a sonné, j'étais presque heureuse de me lever. Ça y est, il n'est plus temps d'hésiter. Il suffit de fermer la porte. Et de partir. Sous la pluie. Bon, je ne vais pas faire mon Caliméro, je n'ai pas eu à marcher beaucoup pour rejoindre l'habitacle qui devait me conduire jusqu'à la gare d'Alès.
