Siamo di fronte a un vino interpretato da un maestro della Garganega, tutti i suoi bianchi da i Capitelli fino al San Vincenzo, passando da Capitel Croce e Foscarino, sono dei veri e propri capolavori. Qui però si parla di Cabernet Sauvignon, unica etichetta di vino rosso di questa cantina, sono sincero mi aspettavo un vino tanto più pesante, visto anche i 16 gradi alcool. Invece un bellissimo rosso rubino con riflessi granato apre al naso con sentori di frutta rossa matura e in confettura, ciliegie, frutta di rovo, poi decise note erbacee di erbe aromatiche con decise note balsamiche e poi note floreali di fiori secchi e spezie e cenni eterei,l'uso del legno risulta veramente ben bilanciato. Al sorso è caldo, leggermente fresco, abbastanza sapido, caldo con un corpo imponente e un finale di ottima lunghezza. Io penso che chi sa fare il vino, sa interpretare in maniera magistrale qualsiasi vitigno. Raspberry, spice, and everything nice. Carmenere/Merlot blend from the Inama family in the Veneto region of Italy. Concentrated red fruits, with a spicy/pepper note reminiscent of a Rhone wine. Aged in a combination of used barriques and stainless steel. Fermentation temperature was kept in the moderate to warm range (around 79 F) which balances fruit retention but also extracts some more tannin and color than you would at a lower temp. They lost about 150-200kg a couple of months before the harvest in a storm. Last year they produced 0kg and this year 300kg. This means we have very little oil to sell and that would of payed for the costs of maintaining the trees and producing the oil. No big deal we still get great oil. But for some this is their livelihood. It’s global warming. It’s tragic. Buy the best oil you can afford from small independent family producers. Zýmē winery was established in 1999 in the heart of Valpolicella Classico.🇮🇹 The word zýmē in Greek means “yeast.” The founder, current owner and winemaker Celestino Gaspari is famous for his dualistic philosophy: great respect for the noble traditions of Valpolicella and Amarone and daring experiments with modern wines. Kairos (Greek for “right time”) is the result of such an experiment which first took place in 2002. This wine is made of minimum 15 grape varieties - 4 white and 11 red! 😱 At the same time technical sheet names 16 grapes: Garganega, Trebbiano toscano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syraz, Teroldego, Croatina, Oseleta, Sangiovese, Marzemino. Anyway, that's a lot! 😄 The grapes are harvested by hand based on the ripeness level of each variety. The clusters picked earlier are placed in drying trays for the time necessary to complete the entire harvest (up to 40 days). Vinification is performed in steel and concrete vats with ambient yeasts. The ageing is carried in French oak barrels and takes at least 24 month. Then the wine spends one more year in the bottle. Now the most pleasant part - tasting notes! 🤤📝 The Kairos in the picture is 2018 vintage. Just 2018! It should be so young, we thought. But it's not! This is a serious wine and it obviously has a great potential but it is already absolutely ready to drink! Somit sind natürlich mit vielen hier von mir vorgestellten Weinen immer auch Erinnerungen verbunden. So auch mit diesem Veneto Rosso IGT BRADISISMO 2015 vom Weingut INAMA in San Bonifacio, Veneto🇮🇹. Da ich hier bereits mehrere INAMA-Weine vorgestellt habe, nur soviel zur Einführung: 1967 wurde das Familien-Weingut gegründet. Inzwischen ist bereits die 3. Generation sehr erfolgreich im Unternehmen tätig. Schaut bei Interesse einfach mal auf die verschiedenen Instas der Familie INAMA. Die Reben für meinen heutigen Wein stehen auf dem Colli (Hügel) Berici in Südlage auf rotem Ton und Kalkboden, maritimen Ursprungs. Dieser Veneto Rosso ist ein Cuvée aus 70% Cabernet Sauvignon und 30% Carmenere, Handlese und -entrappung, getrennter Ausbau in erst- und zweitbelegten Barriques …… Und was haben wir im Glas? •Mittleres bis dichtes Rubinrot. •In der Nase und im Mund empfängt uns ein Cocktail aus dunklen Beeren, insbesondere schwarze Johannisbeeren, Brombeeren und Blaubeeren. Dazu etwas reife Zwetschgen, Wildkräuter und Pfeffer sowie zarte Vanilletöne. Tannine sind glatt aber noch deutlich spürbar. Eine gute Portion Säure verhindert, dass der Wein marmeladig erscheint. Geschmeidig mit einem langen Nachhall. Exzellent! Im Weinberg lockern die Tiere den Boden, fressen das Unkraut und düngen nebenbei - back to nature. Dieser Jahrgang wurde nach dem jüngsten Esel-Zuwachs benannt - Roccia. Der kraftvolle Rotwein ist eine Cuveé aus 60% Pinot Nero, 20% Carmenere und 20% Marzemino Nero. Cesari is a name we are all familiar with - Amarone - but Justo? Justo was chosen to mean “just right”, which is an accurate description of this wine. Fruit from Veneto, this wine has pungent red fruits with a soft and smooth mouthfeel. It’s body is medium, exciting and lingering from start to finish. Where or how I stumbled upon this wine, never ever seeing this in stores, was a stroke of luck. This bottle I will seek again.
