It is known for its intense floral and fruity aromas - expect perfumed notes of peaches, honeysuckle, apricots and blossom. Une fois que les bourgeons commencent à se développer, le vigneron procède à l'ébourgeonnage, c'est-à-dire à l'élimination des bourgeons superflus pour que la vigne concentre son énergie sur les bourgeons les plus prometteurs. Pour contrôler la pousse de l'herbe entre les rangs de vignes, des griffages sont effectués. Cela favorise un environnement propre et sain et évite que les autres espèces concurrencent la vigne. Le cisaillage est une autre tâche essentielle. Il s'agit de couper les pousses indésirables qui pourraient encombrer la vigne. C’est également le moment d’être attentif à la météo et de faire, en fonction de celle-ci, des traitements pour protéger la récolte. Ensuite, vient le moment d'attacher les sarments aux échalas.
