It begins in 2019 with the purchase of 53-year old vines. The sort of the massif is Merlot and is located at the foot of the southern slopes of the Sakar Mountains. The peace and quiet there is mesmerizing. The soil is clayey, reddish, with marble pieces. There are 300 sunny days a year. Maritsa River is located several kilometers away and has many underground waters and reservoirs. Geological studies show that Sakar Mountain is a very old land. We would like to express our gratitude towards the organisers of the International exhibition Vinaria 2024 for the acknoledgement and high grade placed on Kosev Winery. ⛈️⛈️ It’s been pretty stormy lately but this hearty combo helped us weather through it! 2021 Andremily Mourvèdre ➕Spanish-style lamb stew. The wine showed notes of cherries, blueberries, dark chocolate, vanilla; dense weight balanced with M+ acidity. It did take quite a few hours (3~ hrs) to open up. Then the fruits became more mellow and oak notes got blended in better. Inferno 1967, Nino Negri Maior produtor da região da Valtellina, Nino Negri tem uma longa tradição, com o início de suas atividades em 1897. O Inferno 1967 contou com uvas da subzona de Inferno, considerada a mais exposta e quente entre as cinco que compõem a Valtellina Superiore DOC. As uvas provêm de vinhedos de exposição sul, com altitudes entre 350 e 550 metros. Na vinificação, após colheita manual, as uvas passaram por fermentação com temperaturas controladas e o vinho passou dois anos em botti de carvalho da Eslavônia. Talvez até mais do que no Piemonte, a safra 1967 foi considerada de excelente qualidade na Valtellina, dando origem a vinhos elegantes e longevos. E esta garrafa deixou isso bem claro, um vinho que combinou muito bem notas terciárias com uma boa presença de fruta, parecendo muito mais jovem. No visual, mostrou coloração granada de média concentração e certa turbidez, com olfativo marcado por aromas de especiarias, frutas vermelhas e rosas secas, acompanhados por notas de chocolate amargo e tabaco. No palato, um Nebbiolo de alta acidez, taninos finos e resolvidos, com corpo médio e boa textura. Notas de frutas vermelhas se fizeram presentes, combinadas com toque defumado, em um conjunto harmonioso, longo e equilibrado. Assim como no nariz, uma ótima combinação entre fruta e terciário. Atualmente a Nino Negri produz dois vinhos com uvas de Inferno, um mais básico e um parte de sua linha Vigne di Montagna. Alguns dos vinhos deste produtor chegam ao Brasil pela Casa do Vinho, que ainda tinha disponibilidade do Mazer Inferno 2011 a R$ 289 em abril de 2024.
