We were very impressed with the balance and complexity of the 2021 @LarnerWine Viognier Ballard Canyon. It leads with a pronounced floral aroma of blossom and honeysuckle, with peach as the star fruit and a hint of mango. The wine is clean and dry, though with a pleasingly oily mouth feel. It has medium plus acid, and white pepper and rose petal on the finish. Matured in equal parts stainless steel, neutral French oak, and new French oak. Only 80 cases made, and at $35, is a great value. La massima espressione del Viognier. Condrieau: "Uno dei più grandi vini bianchi francesi" secondo Curnonsky, gastronomo francese. La Condrieu AOC comprende solo vini bianchi fermi secchi e, in misura minore, vini bianchi dolci. Il Viognier, l'unico vitigno autorizzato in questa denominazione d'origine, si esprime attraverso vini dalla consistente gradazione alcolica e potenza aromatica. Il Viognier è inoltre un vitigno autoctono, che si dice abbia avuto origine nel villaggio di Condrieu. Anche se è conosciuto principalmente per il suo vino bianco secco, nel XVI secolo il Condrieu fu apprezzato per la prima volta come vino dolce dai Papi di Avignone e dall'istituzione ecclesiastica Chapitre di Lione. Originariamente la vendemmia era tardiva: avveniva intorno al giorno di tutti i Santi; solo all'alba del XX secolo apparvero i vini secchi. Oggi è piuttosto raro trovare un Condrieu dolce poiché la sua produzione è limitata a 2000 bottiglie all'anno. Terreno: suolo ricoperto da granito con esposizione est, sud-est Vitigno: 100% Viognier. Another "WINE & MAGIC"'-Tasting...😍🍷🧙🏼♂️ ...und was für eins! Den Weg ebnete der "Brut Nature"-Rieslingsekt vom @weingutfranckenstein (2 g Restzucker und er durfte über 20 Monate auf der Feinhefe liegen!) - ein absolutes Gedicht 🥂🍾😍👌🏼 . Wir blieben dem Riesling treu und verkosteten den ersten Stillwein unseres Line-Ups: Mit etwas Luft entfaltete sich dieser vom @familienweingutrenner und zeigte auf, weshalb unsere "Klingelberger" der Ortenau durchaus Weltruf haben 💪🏼 . Kein Sommer ohne Rosé: @weingutsiegbertbimmerle entzückte nicht nur in der Nase, sondern hielt auch am Gaumen sein olfaktorisches Versprechen - kein Wunder gab's hierfür Gold 🥇 . Nicht umsonst wurde der @weingutpieperbasler Viognier "Idee" zu einem der fünf besten Viogniers Deutschland gewählt - 14,5 Umdrehungen (!), die einen dahinschmelzen und in eine andere Welt des Hedonismus' eintauchen lassen. Abgerundet durch den Fassausbau, kommt er trotz des hohen Alkoholgehalts nicht annähernd sprittig daher - runde, weiche Perfektion im Glas mit einer Blume zum stundenlangen Schnüffeln 👃🏻. Etwas für besondere Momente ❤ . Der Preis-Leistungs-Gigant "Pinot Noir" vom @weingut_schweigler ist ein Must-Have für jeden Keller: Vielversprechende Komplexität in der Nase und perfekte Ausgewogenheit am Gaumen, für was der Liebhaber sonst normalerweise weitaus tiefer in die Tasche greifen muss. Il Viognier è un uva poco conosciuta ed ormai presente in molti stati. Perché provarlo? Innanzitutto perchè è un uva autoctona della Francia con millenni di storia. Ed in secondo luogo sicuramente per le sua peculiarità date dalle sue note inconfondibili che vengono esaltate maggiormente con un eventuale passaggio in botte.🏺 Le uve bianche🥂 usualmente non si prestano al passaggio in botte. Graag helpen wij met het vinden van de juiste wijn voor uw dinner.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Asperges in het aspergeseizoen zijn wit. Er zijn dan natuurlijk ook groene verkrijgbaar, maar in mei en juni bedoelen we met 'asperges' de net gestoken groente uit eigen land. Witte asperges smaken vol en een tikkeltje zoet, de groene zijn frisser, 'groener' en pittiger. Dat verschil heeft natuurlijk gevolgen voor de keus van de wijn. In het algemeen gezegd gaan witte asperges goed samen met een vollere, rijpere witte wijn en de groene met wat frissere soorten. De viognier druif staat bekend om zijn unieke, geurige, florale aroma’s. Perzik, meloen, ananas en een vleug hyacinth zijn aroma’s die voorkomen in deze elegante, fris-fruitige Viognier.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Recept Asperges met biologische beenham en krieltjes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2 eieren⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 500 gr ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 100 gr boter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 400 gr krieltjes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4 plakken biologische (been)ham⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Verse bieslook⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ snuf peper en zout⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ >>⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Kook de eieren gaar in ca. 8 minuten. Schil de asperges goed en snijd 2 cm van het uiteinde af. Breng een pan water aan de kook. Kook de asperges 7 minuten en laat 10 minuten nagaren in het vocht. Hoe test je of asperges gaar zijn? Als je ze met een vork uit de pan haalt moeten ze iets doorbuigen en niet helemaal slap hangen (te gaar) of helemaal niet buigen (te rauw).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ >>⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Kook ondertussen ook de krieltjes gaar in ca. 10 minuten in een pan met een snufje zout tot ze gaar zijn. Pel de eieren en snijd fijn. Smelt de boter in een pan. Leg alles mooi op het bord en drapeer de ham op de asperges. Giet de boter rustig over de asperges en snijdt de bieslook fijn.
