Growing up I was taught through so many situations that I as a woman I have no right to take up space. To me it felt like I put my personality in a box 📦 which I then put in a dark closet and forgot about. I was turned into a girl that did as she was told, felt like she was responsible for other people's happiness and never set boundaries (hell I wasn't even able be angry anymore)... ➡️ This is what I call the good girl conditioning. Almost every woman has a similar story as mine. We are taught to be servants. And to be a good servant you have to suppress your opinions and feelings. Everything that makes you human. And it shows in so many different situations: ❌ From feeling like you owe someone s*x ❌ to feeling like a bad person when you set boundaries ❌ or never allowing yourself to read or paint or whatever it is you love doing unless you cleaned the whole house (which we all know is a task that you never complete). 👉 It all comes down to you not allowing yourself to take up space. And the truth is: no one will come and give you permission to treat yourself like a human being. You need to take up the space you deserve and fight for it if someone dares to try and keep you small! 🌸 Through the work of reconnecting with myself I eventually dug that box up again and I was surprised by how much more there was to me than I thought. So many feelings I suppressed, opinions, talents, boundaries and dreams... And most importantly my happiness. I finally felt whole again. And I want to help you experience the same 💖
This is a fertility working I did for a good friend of mine. She was struggling so much in her first trimester with her health. I put mama and baby in a protection and healing circle to enhance their well-being. During this working mama’s flame was REALLY struggling in the beginning, which makes complete sense because her health was declining. But baby’s flame was strong and high, signifying a healthy baby. As they burned further, their flames synced up and burned together. ❤️ Now, mama is doing great and she’s reaching the end of her pregnancy. Both are completely healthy. Daily spiritual practice is what got me out of a funk of grief, disconnection and over-responsibility. Taking time to get quiet, ask the Goddess what I need to know, and listening to the answers from the Goddess and my own inner guidance has helped me to stay grounded, and to know on a deep level when things in my life are no longer serving me. As part of today’s sacred practice, I pulled 3 cards. The first is The Waterfall signifying inner power, unbridled confidence, claiming your place. The next was En Caul: healer, seer, priestess, soul purpose. Finally, I chose Full Moon in Taurus that my dreams need a practical plan. These cards are spot on for me as I am getting strong signals to move to a different location and to bring my spiritual work out into the light and the world. “Hello! I would like to talk about the Freya truffle(now called the Sacred Healer) The 1st time I ate one I was a little nervous as I didn't know what to expect So i think because of that, i was so much in my head "waiting and thinking about it" that I ended up not really feeling (as much) so I decided the next time I would make it more of a ritual, as an offering of sorts to Freya, and as a way to connect with Her energy. As a Witch, Freya is one of the Goddesses I connect with! This approach was MUCH MUCH more beneficial! I also prepped a little before taking by doing my usual connection ritual i use with Her and then after I took it, I laid down, closed my eyes and put on my Shamanic music. It took about 15 min to really start feeling it and once i did it was INCREDIBLE!! I felt a soothing warmth all over my body as well as a very comforting energy. As time passed and my music also intensified, I felt a more empowering and strong energy. Freya normally makes me feel this type of energy when I connect but now it was 3 fold! About an hour into the "zone '' I just wanted to dance and move my body in a very strong body prayer to Her and also to my Ancestors! I felt like they were all surrounding me and I felt SO strong, fierce and empowered! A true Wild Woman Warrior Goddess! It was incredible to feel this way. After the dancing it was time to shift this energy and so i journaled. I write every day for multiple reasons, but never have under the influence of a Goddess energy. I had no plan of what to write but ended up writing a very encouraging and empowering letter to myself! To remind me that I do have all the power and support within me to get through anything and to keep growing and learning through the Life/Death/Life cycles of my spiritual journey. I am a Shadow-Worker, so Shadow-Work is something I do on a regular basis. But, this time it was different. My emotions were so intensified but there were NO negative or sad feelings during this work! I just felt so incredibly strong and fierce and my body was literally vibrating and I just felt amazing! If I read one more post that implies that not wanting your partner to sleep with other people comes from a place of insecurity I’m going to vomit. Do you know what insecure people do? They tolerate behaviour they’re not ok with. Behaviour that oversteps their boundaries and contradicts their values. A woman who allows her boundaries to be broken and the goalposts of her values to shift just to please or keep a man does so from a place of INSECURITY. A SECURE woman knows what she wants, and she doesn’t compromise on her core values. If you want an open relationship, that’s cool… but consent matters. •O A K V E S T• Oak In the ancient ogham language Oak is duir. The Oak stands at the centre of the wheel of the year, midsummer solstice. It represents the doorway into the second half of the year. Oak trees have symbolised strength, courage and the masculine power of virility and protection. Known as 'the mighty oak' and 'King of the forest' It is a long lived tree, it's life spanning centuries and sometimes over a thousand years old. In folklore, the oak is known to bring potency, fertility and good health. People may work with the wood as talismans of strength, bravery to fight and courage to carry on. The acorn symbolises how small things grow into great things, the potentialiality of life, and was used in carvings to ward off illness and ensure long life. I have been working with Oak energy for several years now. I was drawn to it in a time of suffering and despair, and have since always drawn on Oak for strength and support during times of overwhelm and exhaustion. All I can say is, the Oak delights me so deeply in my core. The sight of an oak brings me great joy and uplifts me, like an old, reassuring friend of a grandfather. A great teacher and bearer of wisdom, oak brings me in closer connection to the divine masculine support that resides within myself. I have found over the last 10 years, time and time again, that I am living under an oak tree. I feel blessed to be under the protection of an oak once again, and truly know one of my life callings on this earth is to celebrate oak trees This Oak vest will be released in my shop drop update on Beltane, May 1st. I never dared to engrave the antlers I worked with so far. I always saw it as an act of respect to not damage it and to honor its energy! Especially because I didn’t have any connection to the animals but was lucky enough to find their antlers in the forest! Now, when I am diving into the Sami culture, there are reindeers everywhere, so are antlers! I feel a little thrown back in time and engraving the antler just felt very naturally to me. This month’s practice is inspired by the poem, Birthright, by Dana Faulds. ‘Despite illness of body or mind, in spite of blinding despair or habitual belief, who you are is whole. Let nothing keep you separate from the truth. The soul, illumined from within, longs to be known for what it is. Undying, untouched by fire or the storms of life, there is a place inside where stillness and abiding peace reside. You can ride the breath to go there. Despite doubt or hopeless turns of mind, you are not broken. Spirit surrounds, embraces, fills you from the inside out. Release everything that isn’t your true nature. What’s left, the fullness, light and shadow, claim all that as your birthright.’ An earthy, grounding practice exploring the myriad pathways back home to that place of abiding peace and wholeness we all hold within. A practice to support your remembering of the way back home to the part of you that is whole and complete. The place within that offers a sacred refuge of deep inner peace. And some days I know it can feel impossible that this place exists but know that it does, for all of us. And we may have lost our bearings but we never lose this part of ourselves. This yoga nidra offers maps to guide us on pathways of breath back home to this place. The different stages of the practice provide ways to brew yourself back to being in this infusion of peace and wholeness. There is space to meet the heart and to feel its expansion pressing at the self made boundaries of being, hoping for more, knowing more is available just beyond the reaches of our self-limiting beliefs My hope is to remind us how to find our way home and to instil the knowledge that we can return here whenever we choose. It’s not always easy but it is available. This wellspring of wellbeing runs eternal in the core of our wild animal natures. I hope you find this recording beneficial. April; usually a time of ardent flourishing. When nature's energies emerge from their winter slumber and give rise to fertile soils and fresh beginnings. It is the month in which the land fully awakens to reveal emerald-like fields of long, coarse grass brimming with vitality and vigor. But this year the land is ailing. I walk the spring acres and encounter nothing but energies of barren lassitude. The clay soil gathers in soft mounds beneath my feet producing an array of weeds, the quantity of which I have never seen in this field before. Battalions of dandelion and ribwort swarm the meadow, seizing the land of it's usual verdant essence and replacing it with random patches of lacklustre tussocks. Growing in rustic shades of yellow and bronze, each blade of grass feels tired and feeble against my skin. An energetic surge courses through my body, revealing emotional symptoms of apathy and listlessness that catch in my throat, silencing my voice. I wonder if this is why I have desired nothing but privacy and quietude since my return home? Much like the mustard yellow landscape I feel reserved, fallow, struggling to express my authentic self as openly and generously as I normally would. Words don't flow easily, as ambition and drive is as dormant as the poetry that stagnates in my fatigued soul and it takes all of my willpower to persevere and refrain from languishing in wait for the land's spring season to finally prevail... It's okay if you lose your way. It's okay if you need reminders. It's okay if you're learning lessons you thought you learned already. I'm the author of 365 𝘋𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘍𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘴𝘥𝘰𝘮 and even I needed the reminder to drop more into my sacred feminine energy recently. We live in a world that is constantly moving. It can make us feel like we must be constantly "ON," constantly DOING, constantly busy. But that's not true. There are certainly times in life when we will have to push ourselves to work a little harder or do a little more or to step out of our comfort zones. And that's wonderful. But we must remember to create balance for ourselves. We must remind ourselves to slow down, focus on self-care, nurture ourselves, and nurture our relationships. I was facing some personal issues lately and I sat down at my Goddess altar and I asked Goddess what I needed to do to fix my problems. And then I heard "drop into your feminine energy. Stop trying so hard. Stop trying to control. Take more time for you." It seemed so simple, yet it was so profound. I took that advice. For the last few weeks I have been allowing myself to be slow, focusing on self-care, and surrendering to the natural flow of life, all while putting my trust in Spirit. And it has worked wonders for me already. This is why it's so important to balance your feminine energy. Allow yourself to be soft. Move a little slower. Make more time for rest. Make more time to connect with Spirit however that looks for you. Spend time in nature. Eat well. Take care of your body. Let go of trying to control or force everything. Next week is Beltane, the peak of the spring season. A cross quarter day halfway between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice, also known as May Day. Beltane means “bright fire,” and as the light continues to grow, so does the life in the natural world. This is a time of fertility, expansion, and Eros. A time of blossoms, birds and bees. And a great excuse to make some flower crowns! Yay! As I continue to heal and unravel from the power-over paradigms that have wreaked havoc on our planet and her peoples, my longing takes me back to my roots, to the ground under my feet, to my pre-colonial ancestors, to Earth herself. I am hungry to know myself as part of a larger story. For me, connecting to the Wheel of the Year around which my ancient Celtic ancestors oriented, helps feed that longing. Whoever your people are, these turnings of the year belong to your ancestors and to you. Earth is one thing we all have in common.
