Be careful with your ears. Many truths are found by what is unspoken. Many unseen forces are pumping out mistruths with the intentions to confuse you. I say YES 🙌🏽 Lissa, my wife in life and I, today in one month, will have been living life together for 13 years. While we have a lot in common, (think love 🧐❤️) It has not always been easy to get along as our upbringing and background were uniquely diverse. ❤️ While being in a committed relationship brought much peace and love as we share many values and beliefs, things began to shift as old patterns of behavior from childhood experiences (trapped emotions) began to arise in both of us. And it only intensified when we became moms. Life just became a putting up with things, which suppressed our true selves. ❤️❤️ To be honest, I thought our relationship would not make it. It felt at times that it was on its last legs! So much energy had been spent in states that need not have been suffered. The practice provided the opportunity to meditate on what is your truth, to think of one thing that is true. When I used to suffer from anxiety 😟 I used to have a hard time finding what was true and what was actually in my mind. A part of me wishes I could slip through the cracks and go unnoticed and go on with my work humbly. Then my inner wild woman emerges and reminds me of the truth of my soul and what I am here for. There is a time to emerge and be in the world and the time to be out of the world and deeply internal. Patterns rearranging, old pains releasing, new dawns rising. Beauty flourishing. I asked a medicine man tonight - “Why do you think I am here in Tulum?” And he said. “Because you’re wild” The way he said it though was a deep honouring and recognition of the essence of my soul. I feel that true mystics are the ones that completey lose themselves time and time again into the unknown and into the void so they can truly know themselves. This is one of the ways they are of service. It appears to be my life. I choose many types of experiences to complete unknow myself. I jump in and I allow life to take me on wild and beautiful adventures. To know myself deeper. Until you know yourself, can you truly love yourself? I feel like this requires a blog post but for now I wanted to plant the seed and share this meme that I came across today. It spoke loudly to me. I get a sense that when we talk about what we are unbecoming we are on the brink of doing some serious shadow work. Peeling back the layers of what we've been told.
