On day 1️⃣7️⃣, we lost another kitten from the original kitten litter. 😔 The black cat with the blue collar is another one of my fosters. He has loved these kittens since the day they were born, though they're not his. He's always bathing and cuddling with them. Always nearby when mama kitty needs a break. He's the only one of my cats, or the fosters, who has taken to the kittens in this way. 😊 He stayed cuddled up to the sick kitty all day today. He did not leave that nest, even when mama kitty left, until the kitten passed, and I removed her. 🥲 4 kittens remain. 3/5 of the originals, (gray), and 1/3 of the step kitties (black). 🐱 The originals are 16 days old, and the step kitty is 13 days old today. All eyes are open. It's getting increasingly difficult to take photos of them unless they're sleeping, because of their wobbling, uncoordinated curiosities. 🥴😄 I've witnessed the passing a four tiny kittens in the last 16 days. This one was extra rough. Proud moment 🥰 Sergio, one of our boys at True Pursuit, received his GED last year & recently graduated from GCU’s electrician program!! Welcome new friends!!! At long last the foster room has babies in it again! So all’s right in my world 🤍 🤍 🤍 These three littles were being given away free on FB and that’s never the way to find a good home for kittens. Thankfully, @tailshigh immediately stepped in and @shibuyarollcall was kind enough to transport them this afternoon (along with a precious little family of her own!). We have two boys and one girl and I am definitely going to need collars for them because they all look exactly the same! One of the boys is already showing himself to be a rambunctious wild child though and I can’t wait to really get to know each of their unique personalities. I usually take in much younger kittens but with the busy last weeks of the school year, this age is just perfect for right now. It won’t be too long before this snow white trio will be looking for homes (the right way) so keep your eye out for that! Meet Sully! 🐶 He’s a 1 yr old, 45lb, male, Terrier mix. Sully is still quite young and puppy-like. He’s a very happy, fun, and playful guy. ☀️ Even though he can be energetic at times, he isn’t rough, and very low-key once he settles down. When we tell you this boy knows how to relax, he 👏 knows 👏 how 👏 to 👏 relax 👏. When the sun is shining, that boy is SUN. BATHING. 🌞 He could teach a master-class in it! 🎾 Sully plays good with a tennis ball and rope toy! He likes fetch and tug. He loves scratches, and belly rubs. If the sun is out, and he is sun bathing, then belly scratches are like the icing on the cake, in Sully’s opinion! It’s how the good life gets that much better! This medium sized pup is very sweet, if you couldn’t already tell. He also seems to have some training, and sits on command for treats and toys. This very sweet and calm gentleman is probably older than 10 years. I trapped him for TNR, but as he didn't look very well, we did blood tests at the clinic, and the results aren't fun. I'll make a separate post on Tuesday when we'll know more of what may be wrong. For now, he's staying in a crate in my yard eating hepatic food and enjoying the spring weather. The neighborhood TNR effort is going strong, with three booked appointments for the coming week and hopefully more if I have a little luck with trapping. This girl was neutered on Friday and remains under care for recovery. She's doing well and will be released in a few days. Although she was initially a bit concerned about her new circumstances, she seems quite settled now and content with the idea of having three meals a day instead of searching through garbage for scraps. Any of the featured cats can be prepared for adoption instead of being released back to the neighborhood after neutering.
