Some days, among the hustle and bustle of life, I find myself pausing to truly take in all of God’s blessings. Today is one of those days. I sat on the floor of the kitchen with Grayson just enjoying the silliness that comes with being a one year old. In the midst of busy schedules and feeling stretched thin, it can be easy to overlook the blessings and forget to remember gratitude. But today, I am reminded of just how ABUNDANTLY BLESSED I am. I am grateful beyond words for my amazing family, a gift from God Himself. The opportunity to work alongside Him in guiding my children towards Heaven fills my heart with purpose and gratitude daily. Gosh, seriously how dang lucky are we that He chose us to be His helper!? Oh #NewYork!! You always keep my spirits up! Yesterday, as I was leaving the city, a woman complimented me on my jacket, blouse, pants , my #outfit and #style. She asked me WHO I was wearing. Of course I said they were all my own and at least 25 years old! She then asked me if I was working with someone from B*** (a certain department store) I said “not yet” and she asked me for my business card and said she’ll put me in touch with her! Needless to say, I left the city on cloud 9! Of course, I am hopeful!! Weather or not anything comes of it is almost secondary. In honor of @puertorico657's birthday, a flashback to December 2021. It was the Friday night of the stay in Rincon, Puerto Rico. My sister, Carmen and I had a happy hour on the upper terrace of the condominium we stayed in. With a glass of Prosecco in hand, the sun set over the horizon. Bliss, personified. I'm grateful for: 1. A sigh of relief It was a long day at the office. The type of day that the data entry didn't end until the last half hour of the day. But, all the paper was entered and summarily shredded. 2. An unexpected moment of opportunity. Yesterday evening, there was an email from the website, Canvas Rebel. They discussed interest in wanting to interview me. All I could think of was, how? and why? I'm not exactly a creative person. Nor do I have anything done that merits the situation. 3. Spring days by the water In a hint of Deja vu, I ended up at Brookfield Place after lunch. But I wanted to soak up the sun after spending all morning behind the keyboard. The blue skies and sunshine let me put the cares of the world aside, for at least twenty minutes anyway. 4. It really is extraordinary how St Tropez manages to be a byword for both 'luxury' and 'riches' whilst also being quite a simple, pretty little fishing village. Thanks to Brigitte Bardot in 1956 who appeared in the Roger Vadim movie 'And God Created Woman' the town became known internationally. The film, shot mainly on the beach here in Pampellone, catapulted the little town to fame and it hasn't looked back since. Mass market international tourism has passed it by and thankfully it retains so much charm as a result. The Beach despite being home to many beach clubs and restaurants is wild and unkempt. There is no paved area to the rear, no jogging track and no shops other than the occasional gift shop attached to a beach club. Not an ice cream van in sight 😉 Today we hit the town early for Market Day, had some breakfast on the Port doing some 'industrial strength' people watching. I also bought some presents and three hats (much needed in this sun). We then headed back to the beach for lunch at a St Tropez institution @leclub55official The classic starter of Vegetable Crudités and Anchois is frankly iconic - take a look at the photo. After two lovely main courses we shared a Tarte Tropizienne. I mean, it had to be done 🤷♂️ Some days are good days and some are not. A poor man saved every penny for twenty years and used all that money to build a house for his family. Finally, his house was built and ready. After that, an auspicious date was chose to shift in his new house with his family. But just two days before that day, a earthquake occurred and his house was completely destroyed. Man reached the place where many people were gathered and expressed their concern for him, because he lost his house before he could even got to live there. Some people tried to console him. Your newly built house has collapsed, your lifetime earning have been wasted and here you are happily distributing sweets!!"
