I spent 4 days in California last week where I was a speaker at a business conference for women entrepreneurs. Here’s what I did to make it happen: ✔ Used 4 personal days to take off from my full time job requiring my co-workers to pick up the slack and my boss to be without an assistant. ✔ Missed two volleyball games for my bonus daughter. ✔Missed 3 out of 5 days/nights with my son during my custodial time with him ✔Pre-planned and scheduled content and emails for my business ✔ Pre-recorded and scheduled a podcast episode for the podcast ✔ Hired a stylist (shout out to @hollandandbloomstyleco) to shop & plan my outfits for the event so I could spend my time doing ☝🏼 ✔ Had my husband drive me to the airport at 5am to fly out ✔Had my husband to drive over an hour to come and pick me up in another city for my return flight so I could get home earlier. ✔Said no to happy hours and dinners with friends leading up to the event so I could practice my speech. ✔ Let my husband and my son to do all the cooking, cleaning, shopping, and laundry while I was gone. Yesterday, my baby turned 13 and I got to take the birthday girl to work with me!
