QUESTION for anyone who has been to Disneyland recently: what are the best quick service locations out there? With the trip being just myself and the boys, we're probably not going to hit any of the sit down restaurants, plus I know there will be a ton of snacks to try and we can only eat so much! I think a lot of the quick service locations at Walt Disney World leave a lot to be desired - so which are the best in Disneyland? Lately we’ve found ourselves opting for simple date nights at Disney Springs, mostly thanks to their recent food events (big shocker, we know). Most of the restaurants are currently featuring “Wonderfall Flavors” reaching beyond your typical pumpkin spice flavored things, although there’s plenty of that to be found as well. We recommend starting with a the Apple Cider Whiskey Sour At Polite Pig and seeing where that takes you.

What a WonderFall World it is. And so tasty too! Went to @disneysprings last weekend to check out several of the new WonderFall offerings. What did I find? . . . First and foremost...run, don’t walk, to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar and get the Charcuterie Pretzel. It’s is incredible. I hope this one makes it to their menu permanently as everyone around said the same thing about how good it was. The Autumn Smash was refreshing. . . . Then wandered over to Paradiso 37 for a Smokey Cinnamon Old Fashioned and a Pear, Brie and Walnut Flatbread. While the drink was good the flatbread was relatively, ummm flat 😂 and not what I expected. . . . Over at @homecominfl they have a delicious and amazing Brown Sugar Old Fanshioned. Highly recommend trying it, as with any of their incredible array of mixology. . . . Over at Frontera, I skipped on the WonderFall offerings and went with my favorite Guacamole and chips and a Frontera Margarita. Yum! I want more! . . . Over @paddlefishorl they have a Paddlefish Hard Apple. Which is the perfect refreshing autumn drink while relaxing up on Deck 3 enjoying the “cooler” temps! . . . There is still plenty to explore! They all loved the pumpkin spice flavors in the tea, but Susan did not find the boba pearls to her liking as they were “hard in the middle and difficult to bite into”. This may have simply been a batch of pearls that were “off”, but she did not enjoy the drink as much as she normally does elsewhere. The Yesake seasonal menu posted has two items not listed elsewhere including a Fuji Apple Caramel Sake Slushie and a Candied Sweet Potato with Sesame Seeds. We ordered the candied sweet potato to accompany the boba tea. I was fully expecting something that resembled the candied strawberries that guests find in the China Pavilion during the Epcot Flower and Garden, where the food is emcompassed fully in hardened sugar. What we received was a warm sweet potato that was skewered and had a sugar syrup over the top with sesame seeds added. The sugar syrup was not overly sweet and was in a liquid state. We pulled pieces of sweet potato off and dipped it back into the syrup. While it was not terrible, it was not what we would call “candied” and did not quite meet our expectations. In addition to what we ordered, there is a Kabocha Pumpkin Bun (cinnamon steamed bun filled with a sweet pumpkin cream and cranberries), a Spiced Kabocha (Nigori sake, almond milk, pumpkin and cinnamon), and the previously mentioned Fuji Apple Caramel Sake Slushie. Due to our own personal preferences, this stop at Yesake for WonderFall Flavors was not our best so far. We are here at @disneysprings today to explore the WonderFall Flavors now available at the eateries here. Our first stop is at D-Luxe Burger where two new seasonal items are on the menu. The Oktoberfest Burger is topped with smoked sausage, braised red cabbage, stout cheese sauce, and further topped with lettuce, tomato and grilled onion on a Parker House roll. The second item is a pumpkin pie mikshake made with gelato, caramel sauce, graham cracker crumbles, whipped cream and topped with pumpkin spice. I decided to try the Pumpkin Pie Milkshake. It was very light and frothy throughout. The pumpkin flavor is there but not overpowering, and little graham crackers bits popped into every sip.
