Mr. Dressleri is starting to color up very VERY nicely 🤤🤎🌿 And it is actually the first leaf it grew for me since being moved from ambient to my cabinet setup. I guess I like to do things the opposite way 😆 No, it’s actually just because I got Sica - my very own little plant destroyer 😼😹 I prefer ambient so I have not weather sealed and kept it as open as possible. And I learned the hard way that if there’s a way in, she’ll find it! Which btw cost me a few leaves 🤣🌱 Fortunately not on the dressleri! E mesmo quando cheia de sentimentos que não sei nomear, nunca nada me impediu de ver beleza e poesia, pelo menos não que eu consiga lembrar, ou de escutar uma música boa e levantar do sofá. Anyone else starting seedlings? I am growing these cucumbers from saved seeds. I just had to try making one out of paper! Can you tell which one I made? For the seed leaves I used paper clay to get that thick look. It's really fun to work with! When I showed this my daughter she thought the veins were a little too wide so I fixed them a bit (third picture). If you're thinking about making paper plants, I would recommend starting with a seedling. Magnolias have an ancient lineage. Fossils of them have been found dating back to 130 million years ago! It is believed that they are the oldest flowering tree. Bummer…got a “stuck” leaf? 🍃 New leaves getting “stuck” before they unfurl can be a common problem in some of your favorite aroids, such as philodendron and monstera. So what’s the deal? LOW HUMIDITY! 🌧️ Indoor relative humidity is often very low in winter and new leaves can get stuck. If you catch it soon enough you can either increase humidity or gently tease the leaf open a bit to get the process moving. However, once there is tissue damage on the leavf, before it’s able to full unfurl, it may never so so on its own, and it’s typically a leaf you can’t save. ☠️✂️ No, the tissue won’t repair it’s self or regrow- so a damaged leaf like this needs to be removed- snip it off at the base of the petiole.
