I rewatched the film "Begin Again" this morning. I absolutely love this film! Begin Again is a pensive melancholic film with hints of humor and charm. The fantastic script by director John Carney is so heartfelt, poetic, and can be genuinely funny. It's a relateable story about dreams, starting over, finding yourself, and hope. It also showcases the power of music can have on our lives and the effects of fame. The film has some great songs and a beautiful score by Gregg Alexander. Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo in terrific performances playing a down on their luck songwriter and record executive. Knightley and Ruffalo have terrific chemistry together. The film has a wonderful supporting cast featuring Adam Levine, Hailee Steinfeld, James Corden, Ceelo Green, Catherine Keener, and Yasiin Bey. The film is well-edited by Andrew Marcus and has some really good cinematography by Yaron Orbach. It also has some solid art direction, set decoration, costume design, and production design. Today’s track is Run by Gnarls Barkley. Here is a track that starts on the front foot and keeps powering forward. Progressive organ chords to start before the bed settles into frenetic keyboard work. CeeLo is next, a man who is built to exploit this madness. His voice feels alive and turbocharged at the best of times - here he is being asked to work out on top of a bed that is stepping up and down the scale at pace. The result is something completely exhilarating, immediately infusing itself into your ears so you can’t help but strap yourself in. Play in the car with care - this track is perfect for the fast lane. We fly into the chorus, still retaining that sense that this track is playing at the wrong speed. There is a pause at the end of the chorus for CeeLo to take a big breath before charging into the next verse and chorus. We do then ease off the pedal - CeeLo gets a wistful ascend before they jump off again - backers join to build up the mayhem. Next the bed gets a moment under delightful la-la-las - there is a definite Banana Splits feel, accentuated with handclaps. I am so proud to announce that I placed FIRST in the category of Art and Visual Culture in @spelman_college ‘s Annual Research Day with my exhibition of sculpture and technology: “I Can Kill The Spider: A Three Dimensionally Printed Experience”, as an Innovation Lab Maker Fellow. This exhibition explored the intermingling of canvas and 3D prints, the intermingling of the two dimensional and three dimensional realms. As the designer, I created the models using various Computer Aided Design (CAD) Programs utilizing organic and functional modeling, then printed the models out using Creality Ender Printers and assembled the pieces using materials such as recycled fabric. This was a rigorous yet rewarding and exciting opportunity for me to continue to use Industrial Design techniques in art! In addition to placing first in the Art and Visual Culture category, I was also able to present our idea of a 3D Modeled kidney that would assist Biology 115 Students. I reached out to our faculty advisor, Dr. McGinnins, in August asking if he had any 3D modeling projects he was working on in the Biology Department. He invited me to enroll in the senior biology independent study course to assist senior biology students create a model that would help students learn about the function of certain organs. Working in the kidney group, I was able to work collaboratively with biology students to create a Computer Aided Design (CAD) prototype of a model that uses rolling marbles to represent reabsorption, excretion, secretion, and the makeup of the kidney. Our success bought us all homes of our own and the White House was an empty nest. Mr. Wade decided on something more domestic to raise his new family,Which was his Qwaint and reserved taste in the first place. this property was poorly kept by the occupants over the years, it came to my attention that it was available and on the market.I then took it upon myself to acquire this monument and Landmark. It was too important and invaluable to leave it be. the asking price was around 1 million, I would’ve paid more ! I’m proud to say me and my real estate partner… my sister did that for the family! Late Atlanta rap legend Rico Wade’s former home is staying in the family, the Dungeon Family that is. Grammy award-winning singer-rapper CeeLo Green, who is part of Wade’s music collective Dungeon Family, announced on social media that he has purchased Wade’s former southwest Atlanta home. Wade, who was part of the legendary Atlanta rap production group Organized Noize, died over the weekend at the age of 52. His cause of death has not been announced. Green said to honor his friend, he purchased the house they all referred to as “The White House,” which they bought when the Dungeon Family outgrew Wade’s mother’s house where the group was founded. Eventually, Green, who joined the Dungeon Family as part of Goodie Mob, says they all found success and bought homes of their own, leaving “The White House” on Adams Drive SW empty.
