I have shared this video repeatedly, and it is for a very simple reason. Out of many occult (and not so occult) things I could share to enlighten one to the fact that there is so much more to this reality than is apparent, this is by far the most obvious and it is impossible for the skeptics to adequately refute, besides the usual "nuh uh" braindead responses. It is truly astonishing to me the level of mental gymnastics people will do when faced with this piece of visual evidence. Anyone who is an honest person AND has at least a semi-functioning brain (a very rare combination, I'll admit) can see clear as day that this is obviously the same woman. It would not even be debated were it not for the context and what we know about these "different" women's stories. Yet, I've repeatedly shared this with people close to me, and they just completely dismiss it. They just don't get it. It's incredibly isolating. Anyway, just remember, if you can't immediately think of a reason for why they would do something like this, that means it's a coincidence! Because you're SMART, and you know a whole lot about reality and how it works, right? You've got it all figured out! #truth #challengerdisaster #spaceshuttle #spaceshuttlechallenger #astronautjudithresnik #judithresnik #professorjudithresnik #judyresnik #nasa

๐”น๐• ๐• ๐•œ โ„๐•–๐•ง๐•š๐•–๐•จ โ€“ Each generation has at least one event that becomes a formative moment of the era. For me, it was the Challenger disaster. I remember hearing about it on my car radio as it happened, & following it for days on the television networks. This was pre-internet, & before widespread cable or satellite television, so following the story was not like it is today. I consumed what the media fed me. On subsequent anniversaries, especially after the advent of the internet, information, rumors, & speculation became more prevalent. This information, however, was muddled together with the vast tsunami of other internet news. Reading this book distilled all the history & information & provided me with a more complete picture of what happened. There was a lot of science & technology in this book, & while much of it is important to painting a decades long picture of decisions that ultimately culminated in the Challenger explosion, I wish it had been less technical. Conversely, I wish there had been more time devoted to the human aspect of this story. We do meet many key players, but I wish there had been more about the crew. I understand that there is a line that is easy to cross in terms of exploiting the victims & their families, but I still would have appreciated a bit more depth. I can only imagine the vastness of the material the author, Adam Higginbotham, had to deal with to write this comprehensive account and, despite my wishes, he did a good job. After reading Challenger, I think it is nothing short of miraculous that there have not been more space disasters, more lives lost. The space program was held together by spit & glue. Some of what happened โ€“ & a lot of it was decades in the making โ€“ was preventable, but a great deal of it was the unfortunate fall out of multiple individuals, interests, & companies trying to manage a vast amount of information & opinions in an era that was not well suited for the fast & efficient sharing of information. I think this is an important book for everyone, but particularly for those who, like me, experienced the Challenger disaster live. #bookreview #challengerdisaster #nonfiction #bookstagram #newrelease

Judith Resnik, the second American woman in space, was born on this day in 1949. Resnik, an electrical engineer, blasted off aboard shuttle Discovery on Aug. 30, 1984, just over a year after Sally Ride became the first American woman in space. In 1986, Resnik was among seven crew members killed when shuttle Challenger exploded after liftoff.โ  Ride and Resnik are shown taking a break from water survival training near Homestead Air Force Base, Florida, in 1978. Today we remember Astronaut Judy Resnik on what would have been her 75th Birthday. A Doctor in electrical engineering, a biomedical engineer, a pilot, an astronaut, Americaโ€™s 2nd woman in space, the first Jewish woman in space, AND an accomplished classical pianist. She was selected as an astronaut in 1978 - one of the first six American women to join the corps - as a member of the TFNGโ€™s (the โ€œThirty-Five New Guysโ€). In 1986, she was taken from us at the all-too-young age of 36 along with her six Challenger crew mates who were lost in that awful tragedy. With talent, diversity, and humanity like theirs, they truly represented the very best among us. It is altogether fitting that we should remember and honor Judy Resnik today for her spirit - a Jewish one, an American one, a feminine one, and above all a vibrantly intellectual and adventurous one. Itโ€™s been said she could play Rachmaninov piano concertos from memory without sheet music. How extraordinarily amazing is that? Tonight, I will honor her memory by listening to that music; music that she loved and played. Happy Birthday Judy Resnik. You continue to inspire. THE CHALLENGER DISASTER Finding the Challenger wreckage The Challenger Diaster took place in Florida on 28 January 1986, when the spacecraft broke apart 73 seconds into its flight killing all seven people aboard. The low temperatures on the morning of the launch caused problems with the rubber O-rings, which resulted in the joints not being sealed which led to the disaster. The remains of the shuttle and the victims were discovered on the Atlantic Ocean floor after a three-month search. It is believed several crew members survived the initial breakup of the spacecraft but died when they hit the ocean surface. The victimโ€™s bodies were found in the crew compartment and their remains were badly damaged. #challengerdisaster #challengerwreckage

MARCH 7 #ChallengerDisaster 1986- On 28 Jan 1986, the #SpaceShuttle #Challenger broke apart and disintegrated 73 seconds after lift-off. The disintegration happened at an altitude of 46,000ft (14km) over the Atlantic Ocean off of Cape Canaveral, Florida. The crew cabin of the Shuttle separated in one piece and suffered acceleration up to 20 times the force of gravity. The cabin reached 65K ft (20km) before it entered a free fall. The cabin hit the oceanโ€™s surface 2m 45s after break-up at a speed of 207mph (333kph). The search for submerged debris began on 8 Feb with 16 ships. #OTD, divers from the USS Preserver located the badly crushed crew cabin. The remains of the crew were all recovered (although specialist Gregory Jarvisโ€™s remains floated away and was recovered on 15 Apr) however their cause of death was not determined. A study of the cabin found that at least 3 crewmembers, including pilot Michael Smith, survived the initial break-up and activated their Personal Egress Air Packs. These PEAPs were designed to give the #astronauts a small window of breathable air if the air inside the cabin became unbreathable but not intended for in-flight use. Switches covered with lever-locks to Smithโ€™s right were also found activated. Indicating that Smith was consciously flipping switches before the cabin made impact with the oceanโ€™s surface. The impact on the ocean caused a deceleration of 200 g, far beyond any survivability level. The astronautsโ€™ remains were transferred to the military mortuary at Dover Air Force Base on 29 Apr 1986 then transferred to their families. Commander F. Richard Scobee & Smith were buried at Arlington National Cemetery; Ellison Onizuka was interred at Honoluluโ€™s National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific; Ronald McNair was initially buried at the Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Lake City, SC before being moved to the Dr. Ronald E. McNair Memorial Park; Judith Resnik and Jarvis were cremated and had their ashes scattered over the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean respectively; Christa McAuliffe was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Concord, New Hampshire.

January 28th, 1986. I was 5 years old watching the launch of the Challenger mission. This was a historic mission. A civilian, a schoolteacher, was selected to join the mission. Then as Challenger climbed further into the sky disaster struck. Fuel leaked from a compromised O-Ring, which had been damaged due to the cold temperatures at night before the launch. Only a few minutes into the fight Challenger exploded into smoke and fire claiming all the lives of the astronauts aboard. To this day the Challenger remains the worst disasters in NASAโ€™s history. 38 years ago today, the Challenger launch ended in tragedy. All crew were killed when the space shuttle came apart and plunged into the ocean, including First Teacher in Space, Christa McAuliff; all across the country, children were watching. This began a collective mourning, as President Reagan postponed the State of the Union to instead speak directly to the country about the disaster and the deaths their heartbroken children would then be processing. . Most of these pictures were taken at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral in February, 2022, when I took Nova to see a successful space launch and landing, and where my wife, my mom, her friend, and I visited the memorials to the Challenger and Columbia crews. One picture was taken at the Punch Bowl in Hawaii in February, 2020, when I visited the final resting place of astronaut Ellison Onizuka. Iโ€™ve also done a school visit at a school named for astronaut Gregory Jarvis, which I will never forget. . 38 years later, we still remember them, and the last time we saw them, โ€œas they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye and โ€˜slipped the surly bonds of earthโ€™ to โ€˜touch the face of God.โ€™โ€ . . . #challengerlaunch #challengerdisaster #christamcauliffe #kennedyspacecenter #capecanaveralflorida #capecanaveral #nasa #planetearthisblue #wendylambbooks #mglit #kidlit #childrensliterature #middlegradelit #1980s

January 28th: US Challenger disaster. On January 28th, 1986, US orbital shuttle Challenger was destroyed during takeoff. Part of Shuttle Mission 51-L, Space Shuttle Challenger was intended to launch a Tracking and Data Relay Satellite, as well as release the Spartan Halley Spacecraft to gather data on Halleyโ€™s Comet. The Challenger carried seven astronauts aboard it, including New Hampshire school teacher Christa McAuliffe, the winner of a nationwide contest. McAuliffe was meant to hold two lessons while in orbit and then conduct a nine month nationwide lecture following her landing. The launch of Challenger was faced with multiple setbacks before launch, including postponement due to the delayed return of Shuttle Columbia and a severe freeze across Central Florida. On January 28th, after a delayed take off, Challenger launched 46,000 feet into the air, 73 seconds after liftoff, before suddenly exploding in midair. All seven astronauts were killed in the disaster. An extensive investigation conducted by NASA and a federally appointed commission including Neil Armstrong and Sally Ride revealed a pattern of assumption concerning the structural integrity of the shuttle. The severe chill was also found responsible for damaging crucial internal components within the Challenger Shuttle. The moment of the breakup of STS-51-L began at T+73.162 seconds and at an altitude of 48,000 feet. With the external tank disintegrating (and with the semi-detached right SRB contributing its thrust on an anomalous vector), Challenger veered from its correct attitude with respect to the local air flow and was quickly torn apart by abnormal aerodynamic forces, resulting in a load factor of up to 20 (or 20 g), well over its design limit of 5 g. The two SRBs, which can withstand greater aerodynamic loads, separated from the ET and continued in uncontrolled powered flight for another 37 seconds. The SRB casings were made of half-inch (12.7 mm) thick steel and were much stronger than the orbiter and ET; thus, both SRBs survived the breakup of the space shuttle stack, even though the right SRB was still suffering the effects of the joint burn-through that had set the destruction of Challenger in motion. The crew cabin and SRBs survived the breakup of the launch vehicle; while the SRBs were subsequently detonated remotely by the Range Safety Officer, the detached cabin continued along a ballistic trajectory, and was observed exiting the cloud of gases at T+75.237. Twenty-five seconds after the breakup of the vehicle, the trajectory of the crew compartment peaked at a height of 65,000 feet. The cabin hit the surface 2 minutes and 45 seconds after breakup, and all investigations indicate the crew was still alive until then. What's less clear is whether they were conscious. If the cabin depressurized (as seems likely), the crew would have had difficulty breathing. In the words of the final report by fellow astronauts, the crew โ€œpossibly but not certainly lost consciousness,โ€ even though a few of the emergency air bottles (designed for escape from a smoking vehicle on the ground) had been activated. The cabin hit the water at a speed greater than 200 mph, resulting in a force of about 200 Gโ€™s โ€” crushing the structure and destroying everything inside. www.Sierrahotel.net #sts51l #challengerdisaster #spaceshuttleprogram #shuttleorbiter #otd #aviationhistory #goforthrottleup #spacehistory #astronauts #shuttlecrew #spaceshuttletragedy

Even from such a tragedy we can move forward and work hard to prevent it from happening again. That is, we think, the best way to honour all the people that paid the steepest price on 28 January 1986. So did Richard Feynman, teaching all of us how to avoid blaming each other. #challengerdisaster #spaceshuttle #richardfeynman โ€ข Photo by @miriamdemir

Tuesday, January 28, 1986, dawned bright, clear, and unusually cold in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This morning would see the 25th launch of a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space shuttle. Tens of thousands of US schoolchildren tuned in to watch the Challenger launch and witnessed tragedy unfold as the craft broke apart only 73 seconds after lift-off, killing all aboard. But how had we gotten here? And what did this disaster mean for the future of NASA and space exploration? Take a look back at this monumental event with an excerpt from THE 1980s ISSUE. ยท ยท ยท ยท ยท ยท ยท ยท #nasa #nave #caรฑaveral #cabocaรฑaveral #cabocanaveral #transbordadorespacial #tragediadelchallenger #challenger #christamcauliffe #christamcauliffemiddleschool #nรคsa #tragediaerea #transbordador #undiacomohoyenlahistoria #hechohistรณrico #hechohistorico #taldiacomohoy #undiacomohoy #estadosunidos #history #usahistory๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ #usahistory #challengerdisaster #nasa #lanasa #apolo11 #programaespacial #spacerace #spaceracers #coldwar #coldwarclips

38 years ago today marked a tragic moment that brought the world to a standstill. The Space Shuttle Challenger, during its takeoff from Cape Canaveral, FL, experienced a โ€œmajor malfunction,โ€ resulting in the irreversible loss of seven courageous astronauts. I vividly recall that day as I watched the events unfold with a group of classmates at Thompson Jr. High School. We gathered around an old-fashioned television with tubes and rabbit ears, placed on a pull cart in the cafeteria near the stage. The unimaginable occurred as the shuttle exploded before our eyes, a moment witnessed not only by our nation but also by the entire world, claiming the lives of all seven astronauts. Every classroom and teacher throughout the school assembled in front of televisions, eager to witness this historic mission that would send Americaโ€™s best and brightest into outer space. Among them was Christa McAuliffe, a 37-year-old social studies teacher from Concord, NH. Memorable events like these shape the collective memory of generations. Just as my grandparents can recall where they were during the Nazi surrender, my parents during President Kennedyโ€™s assassination, President Nixonโ€™s resignation, or President Reaganโ€™s shooting, I can distinctly remember where I was when the Challenger disaster occurred. It was an event of great significance that left a lasting impact on our world. While Christa McAuliffe is often remembered, it is crucial to honor and remember all those who perished. Today, we pay tribute to commander Francis R. โ€œDickโ€ Scobee, pilot Michael J. Smith, mission specialists Judith A. Resnik, Ronald E. McNair, and Ellison S. Onizuka, as well as payload specialist Gregory B. Jarvis, an employee of Hughes Aircraft Corp. Selected in 1984 from a pool of 11,000 teachers, Christa McAuliffe was set to fly on the Challenger mission. The disaster disrupted NASAโ€™s vision of making spaceflight as routine as air travel, resulting in a nearly three-year hiatus in shuttle flights. On this date; January 28, 1986, the tenth flight of Space Shuttle Challenger crewed by five NASA astronauts, one payload specialist, and a civilian school teacher. At 11:38:00.010 EST, the clock stuck zero, the hold-down bolts were detonated, freeing the Challenger from her launch pad, and mission STS-51-L commenced her journey to the stars. At T+35.379 after lift off, the SSMEs throttled back to the planned 65%. Five seconds later, at about 19,000 feet , Challenger passed through Mach 1. At T+51.860, the SSMEs began throttling back up to 104% as the vehicle passed beyond max q, At T+68, the CAPCOM Richard O. Covey informed the crew that they were "go at throttle up", and Commander Dick Scobee confirmed, "Roger, go at throttle up"; These were the last words of the crew of Space Shuttle Challenger... Telemetry data showing a sudden lateral acceleration to the right at T+72.525, which may have been felt by the crew. The last statement captured by the crew cabin recorder came just half a second after this acceleration, when Pilot Michael J. Smith said, "Uh-oh." The spacecraft disintegrated over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 11:39 a.m. EST (16:39 UTC) We remember the brave crew of STS-51-L Greg Jarvis Christa McAuliffe Ronald McNair Ellison Onizuka Judith Resnik Michael J. Today in historyย  - 28 January 814 - Charlemagne, Emperor of the Romans, who is often referred to as the "Father of Europe," dies in Aachen, Germany, aged 66/67. 1256 - William II, Count of Holland and Zeeland, King of Germany, is killed near Hoogwoud, Netherlands, aged 28. William had been in battle against the Frisians when he began to cross a frozen lake. His horse fell through the ice, and while William struggled, the Frisians finished him off. His body was hidden under the floor of a nearby house and wasn't recovered for 26 years. 1271 - Isabella of Aragon, Queen consort of France, dies in Cosenza, Kingdom of Sicily, aged 23. Isabella had fallen from her horse 2 weeks earlier while 5 months pregnant. She gave birth to a son who died soon after. She was buried beside her son at Cosenza Cathedral before later being moved to the Basilica of St Denis, Paris, by her husband Philip III of France. 1290 - Dervorguilla of Galloway, wife of John, 5th Baron de Balliol, and mother of John Balliol, King of Scots, dies. When her husband died, Dervorguilla had her husband's heart embalmed and kept it in a casket made of silver and ivory. When she died, she was buried beside her husband in New Abbey, an abbey she helped fund. NASA Day of Remembrance The Space Race was a triumph of human endeavor and scientific advances. As with any period of quick progress, accidents and unforeseen circumstances can prove fatal. Today is the day to remember the crews of the Challenger, Columbia, and those lost in training or during tests. Exploration can be as dangerous as it is exciting. In remembrance of all those lost, take a look at the stars and think of what those astronautsโ€™ sacrifices have helped us to discover. The last thing recorded in the cabin of the Space Shuttle Challenger before it exploded and sent its crew of seven hurtling from 48,000 feet into the Atlantic Ocean was Captain Smith saying, "Uh oh."โ  โ  NASA researchers investigating the incident afterward realized that the crew members were probably aware that the space shuttle was in danger just before it exploded and that likely some of them were still alive as it collided with the Atlantic. It also became clear that the disaster could have been avoided.โ  โ  See more photos that reveal the tragedy of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster by visiting the link in our profile.โ  โ  โ  โ  โ  โ  #challengerexplosion #challengerdisaster #nasa #space #reaction #tragedies

๐Ÿš€ The other day, I shared with you my memories of the Challenger explosion of 1986. ๐Ÿ’ญ ๐Ÿ’”It was a devastating event for me and for the whole world.๐Ÿ’” ๐Ÿ“š To honor the sacrifice those astronauts made, I will begin to share (over time) with you some of the lessons I learned from it. ๐Ÿ“ These are lessons I still carry with me through life.... and there are some learnings I am STILL gleaning from the tragic event. ๐ŸŒฑ I believe when tragic things happen we should learn all we can from them. This helps to give them greater meaning instead of โ€˜trying to forgetโ€™ the event. ๐Ÿ’ช Tragedy sometimes shapes and reshapes us as individuals and as a society. ๐Ÿ”„ ๐ŸŒŒ Lesson 1 โ€“ The Challenger disaster reminds us that plans don't always unfold as expected. Life is unpredictable. ๐ŸŒช๏ธ This launch was planned out well in advance, with many eyes upon it. There were lots of preparations and anticipation โ€ฆ. ๐Ÿšง Yet everything still went awry. โŒ As Critical Thinkers, we want to be in CONTROL of things. ๐Ÿง  It makes us feel SAFE to be in CHARGE of things. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Yet, ultimately, we only have limited control over things. We can control ourselves, but not others, not nature, not imperfection โ€ฆ ๐ŸŒ The outcome may not be as planned, no matter how hard we TRY. Thus we need to learn how to navigate IMPERFECTION & CHANGE. ๐Ÿ”„๐ŸŒŠ Those are 2 things that are very hard for Critical Thinkers. No matter how badly we want to have control, we are only in control of so much โ€ฆ ๐ŸŽข We will make mistakes. Yes, it WILL happen. ๐Ÿ™ˆ Mistakes were made regarding the Challenger. However, this did not stop more astronauts from exploring space. Changes for the better did happen due to this incident. ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿ”„ Some changes were made one flight too late for the astronauts of the Challenger, It was other astronauts who would benefit from what was learned. The learning still continuesโ€ฆ ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ“– I will share more of my lessons in the days to come. ๐Ÿš€WHO REMEMBERS THIS ? ๐Ÿ˜ฒโ— It happened 38 years ago this month. On January 28, 1986, the Challenger Space Shuttle tragedy shook the world. ๐ŸŒ I was in an elementary school classroom, watching it unfold LIVE. ๐Ÿ˜” We were all confused, 'What just happened? Is everything ok?' I had personally seen enough launches up close to know that this was NOT good. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’” When the teachers discovered that we had all just witnessed the live ending of 7 astronauts, we were sent home โ€ฆ questioning and devastated by the unexpected loss. ๐ŸŒ” Most of our parents were equally shaken and had no comforting words to share on that cold day. ๐Ÿค” This day had been so excitedly anticipated ...๐Ÿš€ This was the first time a civilian was going to space! Christa McAuliffe, a teacher, was bridging the gap between space exploration and the classroom, making science more accessible and engaging. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿš€ Her own students were watching live too at her school ... ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Can you imagine ? I still recall the footage of her parents standing there watching the fallout for everyone to see โ€ฆ omg. You can still watch that to this day. ๐Ÿ’” ๐Ÿ’” Already being personally connected to NASA, the incident hit me hard. ๐Ÿš€ The challenger was launched to educate us, but instead, we learned some painful lessons. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ As critical thinkers, we vividly recall pivotal moments like this. in fact, our brains can fixate on and replay trauma... ๐Ÿค” We can also use our critically thinking brains to pull out learnings that others might miss. What are some of those learnings for you? Do you recall this event in history? How did it affect you? ๐Ÿš€ Even in tragedy, there is gold to be gleaned. ๏ฟผ we honour our heroes when we learn from their stories and remember them. I'll share some of my learnings from the challenger explosion with you another time .... there are some things I am STILL learning from it... ๐Ÿค” drcleverly.com #LifeLessons #ChallengerReflect #ChallengerDisaster #drcleverlysays #forkintheroad #criticalthinking #RememberingChallenger #NASA #neverforget #RememberingChrista #SpaceEducation #ChallengerLegacy ๐ŸŒŸ
