Oooooops big nutrition fail for me this morning. I’m one of those annoying morning people so leapt out of bed at 4am, grabbed my water and my bike and headed off into the Dubai winter (17C!) forgetting my banana and dates. I had 2 hours 30 scheduled for the bike today and could literally feel myself getting slower and slower after 90 minutes. I didn’t have dinner last night because I wasn’t hungry so my energy tank was completely empty and I had nothing left to give. I do try to balance what I eat to maintain my weight whilst training and being healthy overall and, with that in mind, I do have a reasonable nutrition plan in place but I know I now need to execute my nutrition strategy properly to get more out of my training, and maybe not to be in such a rush first thing in the morning. 💪 20 minute FTP ride smashed with my awesome Wednesday morning Cyclone crew @davidlloyd_newhaven We've been building towards it for the last 5 weeks with longer blocks of efforts in the saddle each week 👌 Sore bums, tired legs, but big smiles and a fabulous playlist made up by the class to sing along to and help take their minds off the pain 😅 Group cycling is such a great way to build strength, stamina and focus on and off the bike! I love teaching it and love my regulars too:) Even the hecklers in the back row.... 😂

I started cycling at 09:10am and arrived at home, Kilema Moshi at 03:38pm covering 100km distance for about 6hrs, 94km cycling on tarmac road and 6km off-road.
