Today’s review is of a EVA protective case sent in by @oivogames_official. This case is designed for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch OLED. It can carry up to twenty loose physical Switch games while still having room for Joy-Con straps, ear phones, Joy-Con controllers (left and right), AC adapter, HDMI cable, and a type c cable. Needless to say this protective traveling case has lots of storage room for when you take your Switch on the go. Due to the heavy duty padding in the case, it can withstand rough conditions. To test this I threw the case to the ground from about 15 feet up in the air. The case had no scuffs or damage from the fall. This travel case cost $19.99 and you can order it on @amazon . The dimensions of the case are 9.9 inches horizontally, 3.3 inches deep, and 4.9 inches vertically. YOU DON’T KNOW ME (2021) Directed by Sarmad Masud. . . . This has one of the best opening sentences ever! “We never know what motivated the killing but we are not required to prove motive” Urgh I love law series so much! This limited series follows the story of a young man who is on trial for the death of a drug dealer. The 4 episodes series begins when he is at the court, he has sacked his lawyer and wants to defend himself in court. His defense in court is what makes up the series. There are few things I really love in this. 1. The Yoruba language. The way that I screamed when I heard them speaking yoruba. 2. The bond between the protagonist and his sister. I love it, so much. 3. The breakdown of the story, how we are carried along, no rush, no leaving us to imagine what could have happened, everything is explained. It’s great. 4. The fact that I didn’t even for once think that killer would turn out to be who it eventually turned out to be. 5. The ending! Not many persons like it but I do, as someone who is not a fan of happy endings, I am pleased when I see endings like this. I have a question though. Which app do they order men that love the way that this protagonist does? If you know, pray tell, let me order like 5 yunno. Not a bad watch, at all! Today’s review is of a digital game called Flippin Kaktus sent in by @nogravitygames. I was sent in a digital copy for PS4 and I tried it on my PS5 and it worked so it works for both PS4 and PS5 which is a huge benefit. Flippin Kaktus is available on Steam, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. It was developed by Rage++ and published by No Gravity Games. Flippin Kactus is a 2D action platform game with a retro pixelated art style which I think is a cool look. With first glance I thought this was going to be a kid friendly platform game with a retro art style but only one part of that was true. When the game first starts there was dead bloody bodies and not even five minutes in there was a donkey cussing which quickly made me realize it’s for a older audience. To me I thought it was funny since the game seemed so innocent at first and it threw me in for a loop once I started playing. Flippin Kaktus is a bit difficult in my opinion which is good and gives a rewarding feeling each time you progress a little further. I do feel that it got a little boring at times due to how repetitive the game is with very little changing. Some other parts I did enjoy about Flippin Kaktus is that you get to play as a cactus which I can’t think of any other game where you play as that. Another good part is that if your a trophy hunter on PlayStation there is a Platinum Trophy to obtain. Flippin Kactus is currently $11.99 for the PlayStation version. Today’s review of the day involves multiple products sent in by @rosecoloredgaming. The products being a Game Boy Color display stand, Super Mario Brothers Game & Watch display stand, Gameboy Advance display stand, and a Rizers 2-Tier display shelves. The handheld display stands themselves are great and an awesome way to display them. However the Rizers 2-Tier display shelves were not the best in terms of quality. As I was putting it together the item broke multiple times as seen in the last picture. If the quality of the product was better I feel this could have been a great item. It’s great for displaying some of your handhelds as I did or even your Amiibos. For the handheld display stands they all were put together just fine with no issues and have stayed together and are sturdy which is a plus. I do wish they came with instructions to put together though since not a single item did. For the pricing of the products all of the handhelds display stands were fairly inexpensive. They ranged from $7.99 (both the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance display stands) up to $17.99 (for the Mario Brothers Game & Watch). The one item that was the most expensive one was the one that broke multiple times I feel it could have a lot of potential if it was better quality. Overall I would recommend the handheld display stands for anyone wanting to showcase their handhelds. I would not recommend the Rizers 2-Tier display shelves unless it was built with better material and more sturdy. Today’s review of the day is of a protective game case from @rosecoloredgaming. This protective game case is great for preserving and displaying your rare games. I personally use it for that purpose however it can also be used to showcase your favorite game or even an imported game or anything of that nature. I feel this is a great product to invest in for anyone wanting to protect their physical games of any sentimental or monetary worth. This product again didn’t come with any instructions which would have been nice but it should be simple enough to figure out with some time. Today’s review of the day is of @evoretro Charging Station for the Nintendo Switch. This charger is a very simple and straight to the point charging station. I can’t really complain with it after all it does it’s job which is well… charge! For the price being very affordable it’s a great starter charging station. The Charging Station is only compatible with Switch Joy-Con controllers. It can also charge up to four Joy-Cons at a time. While charging it will light up blue when it is done charging it won’t display a color. The Charging Station does provide two USB ports for other devices as a extra benefit. I do wish however it had a little bit extra to really go the extra mile. The setup for the Charging Station is very simple which is a plus! All you have to do is literally just plug the chord attached into the side of your Switch. Overall I’m in the middle of this particular product. It does serve it’s purpose and is easy to set up which is a plus. However it seems very plain and basic and to me doesn’t go the extra mile to stand out from the rest. Self-preservation, self-discovery, and rediscovering the strength that is innate and within me to overcome all the obstacles thrown my way required my full attention, hence my absence. As an avid reader, I found myself reaching for an old friend. A book written by Robert J. Wicks "Perspective: The Calm Within the Storm", once again. One of my favorite captions in this book is… "Perspective, how we view ourselves and the world, makes all the difference in what the contours of our life will look like — no matter what the external circumstances turn out to be. So, it is no wonder, then, that a healthy perspective (also known as 'enlightenment,' 'purity of heart,' 'the secret to a well-lived life') is sought with such dedication by some. And to have such passion is certainly one of the most important prerequisites for finding this pearl of great price. This is so because it enables us to persevere with tenacity — even during the dark days that everyone of us must experience as part of being human." Just kicking around Blue Springs State Park with my new super cute @kurufootwear CHICANE trail hiking shoes.
