My day today in between many other things. 6:15am MintFit. My changing it up brekkie with Dhal 🤤 egg & chili. 9:15am MintFit and lunch Bircher muesli & the blankets we used in our mini meditation at the end of our 6pm Pilates class. During the day I ticked a heap of boxes including making two means -one was more dhal as I think I’ll always be a fan and the other was a slow cooked dinner. A catch up with a friend whom I gifted some of our meals too. -loving cooking a big batch and freezing portions for either us or to share. Doing run around with the youngest to facilitate her move to a new school. -uniforms rock -books & stationary rock. Loving all of you. Love all of you. I said I what I said! As a patient with multiple medical conditions and someone who has spent over a decade advocating for myself and fighting medical gaslight, there is NOTHING more frustrating than insurance companies disrupting medical care that you’ve already climbed mountains to get! I’m currently in a situation where @kaiserpermanente thinks they know better than my doctor. They are forcing me to go off of the medication that has helped heal me tremendously - a medication that the drug manufacturer was covering the cost of for me! - to try the drug they want to approve instead. They told the bridge program I was on that they approved my medication, but they didn’t. They approved an alternative. If this alternative fails me and I end up flaring badly again, THEN they will approve the medication that is ALREADY PROVEN TO HELP ME! Not only this, but due to other medications I’m on they only want to approve this if I get rid of another, effectively telling me to choose which condition is more important to me. Oh, did I mention that stress makes the conditions flare? Many tears have been shed. It absolutely should NOT be this hard to get quality medical care. Insurance companies are not the doctors treating patients and seem to only view things through rose colored glasses. When I tell you I am tired..🤣😝 but at the same time I am completely ecstatic!! 🎉🎇 It is not easy working two jobs with no full days off and running a business at the same time!! And when I do get time I'm running from store to store to make sure I'm giving my clients the best value of what they're paying for whether it's food alcohol or both! I have been booked every weekend since March 23rd with two of them being double booked back to back!! Today has been one I won’t forget anytime soon. Started with a trip to Columbus to watch the GIAA state track championship. Win and his 4x100 teammates not only got 1st place but broke the GIAA state record with a time of 42.93. Watched him place 6th in the 400M dash before KA and I had to book it to Hawkinsville for Elle’s dance recital. Unfortunately, didn’t get to see his 4x400 race but we made it to the opera house in time and without a speeding ticket.😉🚨 Have to give a shout out to @hailey_t_allen for getting her ready for the recital. If you are cruising along at Costco and see one of those little greenhouses and think t to yourself, “Hey! I bet my wife would like one of those. It would be a good way to protect the plants from the deer!” Then you look inside, see the instructions say, “Some assembly required. Easy to do with simple hand tools” Don’t fall for it!!! It’s a trick. Sheila and I started on this Monday, called in reinforcements for day two, I put the finishing touches on it just after Sunset. It’s cute and will be a way to have flowers at the Cabin. The grandkids were all about it. They read and process detailed instructions very well, were always one step ahead of me. Hard working duo that were in sync. Heartland Music Fest with the best group of kids ever!! All three Yukon Intermediate 6th grade choirs joined forces today to unite their voices in harmony to perform two choir pieces. It was amazing to hear three different schools harmonizing together. (They have only been able to practice together twice before the Heartland Festival.). I am so proud of these students and all the heart they bring to their individual choirs! After the performance we re-boarded the bus to head to Frontier City to play until the awards ceremony this evening. I'm pretty sure they all had a blast. As a Special Education & General Education teacher, I work with a lot of students who have behavioral, attention, and comprehension issues. They are no different than you and I or their peers. Sometimes, they just need a tad bit extra attention, individual one on one time, so that the information they are learning processes with the way they learn. This year, my classes are twice as big as they have been, I have no EA or RTI's that come and help with my students, so sometimes I have to modify lessons to accommodate my students with special needs and implement those lessons with the entire class. Today, we had a review of the coordinate plane, as we prepare to learn more about linear equations and plotting them on a graph. The activity was that students needed to label the parts of the coordinate plane using the cards they were given while I read off clues to the different parts. All students were engaged, and it was a fun way to spend the gruesomely long class period.
