Job’s friends had great intentions when they were trying to comfort him after such calamity, but they were all wrong in their approach. They tried insinuating that Job had sinned somehow and kept mentioning how the wicked are punished. While it’s true that God is a righteous judge, not every bad situation is an act of judgment. Sometimes, they are a test of faith. Before you try to use all the church-y language to comfort someone in a tough spot, think about how the words coming out of your mouth will actually land!

⚡️ At one point or another we have all probably asked ourselves, “Why does God allow evil?” We are not alone. Habakkuk was struggling with the same question as he looked at all the evil surrounding him. ⚡️ If God were to destroy all the evil on the earth, no one would be left. In Mark 10:18, Jesus said, “No one is good except God alone.” Not eradicating evil could be seen as an act of mercy, because we all have evil inside us that we have to battle. That’s why we are told to crucify our flesh daily. ⚡️ But what if evil wasn’t even an option? What if everyone was only allowed to choose good things? What if Lucifer was never created so he never could have tempted Eve and caused the fall? Well, that would take away free will. And God is not a tyrant who demands that we choose only what He wants. He is a loving Father who lets us make our own mistakes and helps us when we return as prodigals wrecked from our decisions. ⚡️ Evil might surround us in this world, but God is sovereign over it all. He will use all things for good, even when we don’t understand how. We just have to have hope and wait patiently for the plan to unfold.

✨Mini Stationary Haul✨ It’s no secret that I love stationary. I watched a reel where someone reviewed these @pilotpenusa Kakuno fountain pens as a staple for their Japanese studies. It stuck in my brain and I decided to order one and OMG it writes so smooth! (Ignore my bad kanji I just wanted to test it real quick.) The pen is thicker than a regular pen making it super comfortable to hold for longer study sessions. Needless to say this pen has raised the bar for other pens. For $10 and refill ink being around $7 for a 12 pack this is indeed a worthy investment to introduce yourself to the world of fountain pens. I also got some @gomr.pen gel highlighters (also sometimes called Bible highlighters) that don’t bleed through the paper. If you know Japanese books you know that sometimes the paper used is super thin and I thought these would be a perfect solution for that! They are so soft it was like highlighting with butter! (Insert BTS reference 🧈 ) 16 full size highlighters with the cute case for $8.99 ! Not a Japanese brand but I love the price and quality of Mr. Pen products! Chapter 21-22 Laws of Priesthood section of Leviticus further speaks about holding priests to higher standard. All the ceremonies and rituals of the Old Covenant pointed towards a perfect fulfillment by Jesus the Messiah under the New Covenant (Colossians 2:16-17; Hebrews 8:4-5; 10:1). Therefore, the idea that a priest could not serve in a ceremonially defiled (unclean) condition was important. Fellowship with God had to be done on the basis of being declared clean and righteous by God. Yahweh (the Lord) was the God of Israel, and because of all He had done for them, their obedience to Him was proper.
