It’s a dream come true to be able to line up with some of the best trail and ultra runners in the sport. It would have been a dream come true to cross the finish line at @blackcanyonultras , but there is another, bigger dream I have. I want to be a lifelong runner. I want to keep witnessing the magic of the snowy desert and the tenacity and endurance of the human soul. Trail running is a sport with a front row seat to both of those things - no matter what position you are in in a race. Most times I’d tell you to keep going. But sometimes you don’t need to go another 25 miles to prove to yourself that you are tough. You have been down and clawed your way up again, and you’re still here, fighting.
