Came out of this weekend more tired than rested, but it’s okay. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes but it isn’t great to stay there. I’m so glad for the new week that it’s a time to reset and reignite a new spark for the new month. It helps for me to start eating healthy again and pen my thoughts to paper (not my notes on my phone, actual paper) and tackle them one by one. So bit late in month but thought be nice to share my goals for 1st month of the year. Continuing with a themes of the year very much wanted Jan to be about the planning (which has been my specialty) so that them rest the year it’s just following the plan. Rather than planning again and again and never getting anything done (my biggest weakness) So really these are all fairly self explanatory it’s about getting our starting points together, organising and getting our tracking habits going. And then clearing our physical space and digital (post to follow) through the minimalist challenge pt2. While also getting those movement levels up. Think Jan can be such a hard month going from over indulgence of December to then bam clean start, cold turkey mega life shift. So changing it up this year and have enjoyed the last of the Xmas treats and had more a phase to normal then a hard shift. So while this sounds negative I actually will look back on 2023 as a great year. Started hitting the ground running in terms of side hustling and earning. Having lost my dad late 2022 I felt like that was good motivation to keep myself going. However as the year went on felt like was slowing turning into a more autopilot mode. Still hustling but noticed wasn’t experiencing any high or lows was sort of numb. So took step back from posting on here and did some reflecting. Felt good to let out lots of emotions and I actually began talking more and more to people about everything rather than saying “yeah I’m okay” Then late oct/ nov rushed to a&e with chest pains. Further tests found out I had pneumonia. This was 1st time I’ve been 1) scared what was going on with my body. 2) actually so ill that weeks and now realising months needed to fully recover as opposed to usual few days when been ill in the past. Again this lead to another window of self reflection about what I really wanna get out of life and where wanna take it to with my family. So que taking this whole month after enjoying a lovely festive period and both my girls birthdays to plan this year and build for the future. Finished book one of the year. Still have some notes to do but I finally finish. I started this book YEARS ago at a church I went to. We were doing this study with our home groups. Ended up getting it again last year. Definitely took me much longer than the 40 days, but I finished. If you want a book that makes you ask questions about yourself, but also guides you on your faith journey, this is the perfect book. This year I didn't write any 'annual review' of my 2023 ... simply just lazy 😅 .. But I know for sure that I spent it very well and it was filled with lots of experiences, prosperity, travels, laughters, joy, and love. .. I gained more knowledge and experiences even though a few goals I planned to do last year didn't get executed. At the same time, I exceeded some other ones. .. Lastly, I couldn't be happier for the life and the partner that I have. Very thankful for everything (the last photo is my favourite from all the photos I took in #prague when he woke up at 4 AM to start working with me when he could have woken up a few hours later) 🩷 .. I'm excited to see how this year will look like at the end. Many things planned to happen this year and I can't wait to share my happy moments with my family and friends.
