⭐️⭐️ Upon receiving a recommendation for the book, I decided to give it a try. My overall impression was that it was an average read. The author presented a number of insightful points that have the potential to improve one's life and help achieve their goals. However, there were a few topics that I found to be disagreeable. The book essentially provides readers with fundamental advice on how to enhance their lives and pursue their objectives. While this advice is something we all know, it is often forgotten amid the chaos of daily life. The author did a commendable job of reminding and emphasizing these points to the reader. The core elements of the book are centered around establishing pragmatic goals and plans, committing oneself to these goals, having a positive self-image, and believing in one's own value. I must note that while the book had some excellent points, it was excessively lengthy. The author appeared to enjoy the sound of his own voice, which is perhaps why he is a motivational speaker. He has a talent for drawing attention to himself while discussing himself, which is the central focus of the book: self-love. The book serves as an acceptable example, but I cannot recommend it to others unless they are fans of the author. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a child, I often heard my grandparents speak about the devastating famine of the 1930s. Recently, I had the opportunity to read #TheMemoryKeeperOfKyiv and it was an emotional journey that felt incredibly personal and impactful. Though the book only touched briefly on the famine and its devastating effects on the Ukrainian people, the author's breathtaking prose and vivid descriptions helped to raise awareness and bring attention to this tragic period in history. For that, I am truly grateful. The story itself is a heart-wrenching tale of survival and sacrifice. I was captivated by the characters in the past timeline, each one uniquely drawn and memorable. The author's portrayal of life in the 1930s was nothing short of masterful, skillfully capturing the struggles and hardships that people faced during this tumultuous time. While the present timeline wasn't quite as engrossing, it still held my attention and served as a thoughtful counterpoint to the historical narrative. Despite its slow pace, I found myself drawn into the story and invested in the characters' lives. Overall, "The Memory Keeper of Kyiv" is a powerful and thought-provoking novel that sheds light on a little-understood period in history. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #TheLastGrandDuchess is a heart-warming tribute to the final imperial family of Romanoffs, who were once the rulers of Russia. As someone who was once captivated by their story, I was thrilled to revisit some of the fascinating tales I had learned earlier. The book provides a unique glimpse into the tumultuous era of the Russian Revolution and the intricate ways in which people governed their empire. On the whole, "The Last Grand Duchess" is a poignant and touching story that delves into the final years of Olga's life. The reader is introduced to Olga's romantic interests, her hopes and dreams for the future, and the ultimate act of kindness she bestowed upon Russian soldiers. This book is an excellent starting point for anyone who wishes to learn more about Russia's last emperor and the fascinating history of the #Romanoff family. It's a fast-paced, light read that provides some insightful information, but be warned, it will leave you with a heavy heart. ⭐️⭐️ Recently, I read #TheAnniversary that left me feeling perplexed and unfulfilled. It was challenging, and I almost gave up on it multiple times. The story's events were often unrealistic and didn't make a lot of sense. Furthermore, the dialogue between the characters was unnatural and often too lengthy. It seemed like the characters were forced to speak in a certain way, which didn't feel authentic. This made the book more challenging to read, and it was hard to connect with the characters. Despite these issues, the book did address several essential topics, such as domestic abuse, grooming, money laundering, and law enforcement interference. The book's lack of suspense made the ending easy to predict from the very beginning. The characters were also divided into clear-cut good guys and bad guys, leaving little room for surprise. Overall, I found the book difficult to read, but I appreciated the author's attempt to address important issues. Thank you, @NetGalley for providing a free and advanced copy of the novel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ First and foremost, I have to say that the characters in the story were incredibly complex and well-developed. I was completely engrossed in getting to know Tibby and Walker's characters and their backstories. However, the villain's story was downright creepy and sent shivers down my spine every time the protagonist's monologue came in. Despite this, the way the characters were developed throughout the novel was excellent. Secondly, the author did a fantastic job of keeping me guessing about the identity of the perpetrator. I was on edge the entire time, and the reveal of the villain's identity was incredibly satisfying. The plot was well-crafted, with the perfect pace and number of characters. As I read through the novel, I couldn't help but notice that several aspects of the story seemed to resemble Hitchcock's film scenarios. While this was both a good and bad thing, it did make me feel a bit uncertain about how I felt about the book as a whole. There were moments when I found myself getting bored with the plot and questioning if it was worth continuing, but then the story would take an unexpected turn, and I would find myself completely engrossed once again. However, while the book did have some similarities to other stories I've read before, the final plot twists were truly satisfying and made up for any feelings of deja vu. Overall, I would recommend this novel to readers who enjoy suspenseful and thrilling stories. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading #TheStranger and I want to express my gratitude to @NetGalley for providing me with a free and advanced copy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #SallyHepworth has crafted a masterpiece with her latest novel, "Darling Girls." The book delves into the lives of children in foster care, and the unique experience they share with one particular character. The story is a gripping psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The story centers around the girls, but the real main character of the novel is a vicious foster mother. She deftly navigates the complicated foster care system, using it to her advantage for personal gain. Hepworth's writing is so vivid and descriptive that I felt I was with the characters, experiencing every moment of their lives. The three main characters are beautifully portrayed, each with a distinct personality and backstory. The author's ability to bring these characters to life is truly remarkable. I was especially impressed with how she showed the power of friendship and the unbreakable bond that can form between people from vastly different backgrounds. The novel's different timelines and the unveiling of secrets throughout add to the intrigue and suspense. I was captivated by every twist and turn, and the ending left me both satisfied and wanting more. In conclusion, #DarlingGirls is an outstanding novel that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a thrilling and thought-provoking read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of reading a captivating novel set in the enchanting city of Paris during the roaring 20s. From the outset, it was clear that the author had a deep love and understanding of the city, which made for a fantastic backdrop to a thrilling story. Although I hadn't read the first book in the series, I was able to jump right into the story, thanks to the author's skillful weaving of Zoe's backstory into the narrative. I enjoyed the mystery elements of the story, which kept me intrigued throughout. And the characters were well-drawn and engaging, making me care about what happened to them. However, I did find that the pacing of the novel was a bit slow, which detracted slightly from my enjoyment. Nonetheless, the plot was strong and kept me engaged until the end. I particularly appreciated Zoe's passion for helping struggling artists, which added a layer of depth to her character. As a lover of all things Parisian, I would have liked to have seen more of the city and its environs in the novel. Nonetheless, the glimpses of life in Paris in the Roaring 20s were well done, and I appreciated the historical context. Overall, I would definitely recommend this novel to anyone looking for an engaging mystery set in the City of Light. I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #TheBaby novel has completely engrossed me. It reminded me of "The Girl on the Train" with its thrilling plot and complex characters. The main character's struggle with alcohol addiction leads her to a peculiar situation where she finds herself with a baby. But this is no ordinary baby. It's the baby she has been yearning for, for many years. The story takes an exciting turn when her husband appears and uniquely takes on this unusual situation. The characters' interactions are so well crafted that the story takes off with many phenomenal twists, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. I was drawn in by the vividly portrayed location, the secrets, and the twists and turns. The ending brought much-needed closure to the characters, and I felt the novel had gone full circle, arriving at the perfect ending. I would recommend this novel to my fellow mystery readers. It's a fast-paced read, ideal for a cozy night with a glass of wine. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #MotherOfTheBride was an entertaining book, albeit with some flaws. While the storyline was moderately engaging, the main character, Lizzy, left much to be desired. Her lackluster personality and, oftentimes, nonsensical decisions made it difficult to connect with her. Despite being presented with obvious facts, Lizzy repeatedly ignored or excused them, which was quite bewildering. Furthermore, the mother of the bride was portrayed as having a unique and quirky personality, which made her an interesting character. However, it was rather peculiar that she suddenly transformed into a lucid and normal individual towards the end of the book. Although the thrilling aspect of the story was well-executed, the character development could have been more consistent and believable. Despite this, the story itself was decently crafted. However, what truly captured my attention was the novel's finale. The final twist was utterly unexpected, and it was the perfect way to conclude the story. I was left with a sense of awe and admiration for the author's clever storytelling. I would like to express my gratitude to NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book for free. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ After reading the book, I'm left with mixed feelings. On one hand, Maye Musk's life story and the challenges she faced are truly remarkable and inspiring. She has had to overcome significant obstacles, and her perseverance and determination are commendable. However, while reading the book, I couldn't help but notice that some details seemed misleading or missing altogether. This made me question the accuracy of the biography part of the novel. Unfortunately, I found that some specific facts stated in the book did not match what Maye's children had shared in multiple interviews, which were also confirmed by her relatives and friends. Despite this, I still admire Maye's determination and resilience in the face of adversity. One aspect of the book that stood out to me was Maye's passion for nutrition and lifelong dedication to this field. She thoughtfully explained her journey, highlighting the challenges she faced and her successes along the way. This part of the book was truly inspiring and well-written. Overall, while the book has its inspiring moments, I found that it lacked a good structure. Nevertheless, I remain intrigued and look forward to reading her first published book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The book's plot was intricate, and it consisted of numerous characters, each with their own set of secrets that were partially revealed as the story progressed. The complexity of the plot made it somewhat challenging to follow the novel. However, the ending was satisfying, as it provided a resolution to the story, exposed the main character's secrets, and clarified the purpose of the novel. Despite the challenges experienced while reading, the book was definitely worth reading. It was a well-written novel that kept me engaged throughout. However, I felt that the plot could have been shorter, and some of the secondary characters and their roles could have been omitted, as they added more complexity to the story without contributing significantly to the plot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is an absolute gem that delves into the life of Queen Elizabeth, the longest-serving monarch in English history. It offers an exquisite portrayal of her reign, full of magnificent and, at times, challenging moments. As an avid reader of English royalty, I have always been captivated by the lives of Queen Victoria, her daughter-in-law Queen Alexandra, and, more recently, #QueenElizabethII However, this book has exceeded my expectations by featuring some amazing information on Queen Elizabeth's early years, particularly her service as a machine mechanic during WWII, which provided her with a fantastic opportunity to help her country during wartime. Furthermore, what makes Queen Elizabeth's character so fascinating is not only the fact that she became a head of state at a young age, but also her remarkable ability to reign over her country and family. Despite living her life in the public eye, with constant criticism, she has managed to face the challenges with admirable grace and dignity. This book also illuminates her children's relationships, providing intriguing and enlightening insight into their lives. Overall, it is an excellent read, with all the known details and some hidden details that were kept from public eyes and ears. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #iLetHerIn is an intriguing and unsettling tale that explores the theme of revenge and justice, offering a captivating blend of mystery and thriller genres. At times, I found myself fascinated by the story but also unsettled by its dark and creepy atmosphere. The characters in the novel were complex and well-developed, and I appreciated the different perspectives from which the story was told. Despite the fact that the identity of the villain was clear from the beginning, the plot remained engaging and kept me hooked until the very end. One of the things I enjoyed most about the novel was the plot's pacing. It was fitting, neither too slow nor too fast, and kept me on the edge of my seat. The story held my attention from start to finish, and the ending was rough and graphic, leaving a deep impression. It traces the life journey of a family torn apart by political differences across three generations and their experiences during the tumultuous history on both sides of the wall. However, the story takes a thrilling twist when Luisa, the protagonist, uncovers her family's secret. The author's focus on the characters' lives when the Berlin Wall separated Berlin and the surrounding countries into two worlds is a brilliant concept. Luisa's family's lives underwent a radical change on both occasions, and it is captivating to witness their journey through such turbulent times. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #TheChristmasPostcards is a captivating love story that is filled with intense emotions of betrayal, heartbreak, and ultimately, heartwarming moments of romance. The story revolves around the lives of two characters, Duffy and Natasha, each with their unique experiences. Duffy's backstory is particularly intriguing as it sheds light on his goals and the motivations behind them. The way he honors his two most influential people is both beautiful and dangerous. However, by accomplishing his goals, Duffy's life changes in ways he never thought possible. He gains two new precious people in his life, and his life and purpose come full circle. While Natasha's story is not as exciting as Duffy's, it is no less heart-wrenching. She has endured years-long betrayal that has left her utterly shattered. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The story is about a couple of teenagers taking the lead in uncovering terrible secrets during their annual summer vacation. Initially, it's an excellent portrayal of kids taking matters into their own hands to solve an unsolved one-year-old case. However, despite their intelligence and wit, their actions put them in significant danger, as the story reveals all the town's secrets. The story was fast-paced, but too many unrealistic events occurred in a few days, making it seem overly fictional. Despite this, the detective part of the story was enjoyable, but its unrealistic nature made it hard to capture my attention. The last plot twist was the story's highlight, making it worth reading. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #MakeHerPay was an okay read, but it had an interesting plot. The story revolves around revenge and getting even. While reading the novel, I empathized with Leonie. She was only sixteen years old and was being controlled by her father, both then and now. I don't blame her for how she handled the crash. On the other hand, Carrie, the victim and the antagonist of the story wants to get even with the person she believes is responsible for her miserable life after the accident and everything she lost as a result of it. Although I don't believe in revenge, it makes for a good story in novels. However, I would take a different approach to confront someone at fault. Carrie has taken the most dangerous path, resulting in more than just ruining one person's life. Her actions, however, have triggered some secrets that Leonie revealed and was shocked by. Overall, it was a good read. Although I had a sense of how the story would end, the journey toward the conclusion was intriguing, and I enjoyed reading it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A few years ago, I stumbled upon the captivating story of Wallis. It intrigued me so much that I read a few short articles and watched several TV programs discussing the woman who changed the course of the English monarchy. As an avid reader of Andrew Morton's works, I was excited to discover his book on this fascinating subject. And let me tell you, I was utterly blown away. What struck me first about this book was its incredible depth and breadth of information. It followed Wallis' life from birth to death and included numerous new and exciting facts I had never known before. For instance, I had always believed she was a commoner who had risen through the ranks of English society by being a charming and unique character. However, this book painted quite a different picture. Moreover, the book portrayed Wallis as a woman with a dominant and entitled character. Previously, I had thought of her as strong-willed, but this book revealed that her personality was even more forceful than I had imagined. She was a woman who could never have had enough of anything and always wanted more. As I delved deeper into the book, I realized that Wallis had done a tremendous favor for the English monarchy. I learned that David was an easily manipulated person with a weak-minded character, and his reign, especially during WWII, could have had disastrous consequences for the country and possibly ended the monarchy's existence. Overall, this book was a fantastic read, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the story of Wallis and the English monarchy. However, it also left me with mixed emotions about Wallis' character. While I was disappointed in some aspects, I was also fascinated by others and gained great insight into her life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #TheCustodyBattle is a captivating novel, and I must say that it drew me in from the very first pages. The characters of Madeline and Greg are well-crafted, with Madeline coming across as controlling and entitled, while Greg is portrayed as a follower with little self-confidence. However, as the story unfolds, we see Greg begin to find his voice and assert himself. While I didn't necessarily care for either character, I appreciated how the author highlighted the darker and more dangerous aspects of divorce. The author does an excellent job of focusing on the couple's child, who is the true victim of the divorce. It is heart-wrenching to see how the parents' toxic behavior affects her life. Neither Madeline nor Greg acts in a manner befitting of responsible adults, and by the end of the novel, their hatred consumes them both. The ending is both interesting and poignant, with a final twist that ties everything together. Overall, I found this book to be a thought-provoking and emotionally charged read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just finished reading an absolutely captivating novel that has left me completely enthralled. It tells the story of a family who wins the lottery and how their lives are forever changed by their newfound wealth. From the very first page, I was struck by the sheer speed at which this book moved. The story unfolded at a breakneck pace, revealing more and more about the couple's past and present as it went along. One of the things I found most fascinating about this book was the stark contrast between Natalie and Hayden's approaches to managing their wealth. Their vastly different goals and motivations kept me hooked throughout the entire book. In addition to the intriguing characters, the novel is full of unexpected twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The number of secrets that were revealed throughout the story was staggering, and I was constantly surprised by the ways in which they all intertwined. It was like watching a house of cards being built up, only to come crashing down in a spectacular and unexpected fashion. Overall, I cannot recommend this book enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The story, told from the Czech perspective, is both wonderful and heartbreaking. I was appalled to recently learn about the #LebensbornSociety and its expansion into several occupied European countries. The narrative centers around Czech Aryan-like children who were taken by the so-called "brown sisters" and placed in newly established children's homes. These children were eventually adopted by "good Germans." The novel follows the journey of Anna, a mother consumed by grief, as she risks everything to get her daughter back. Her adventure is filled with danger, luck, and heartbreak. The book's final chapter moved me to tears. It's been a while since a novel's conclusion has evoked such a strong emotional response from me. I know that I will remember this story and its characters for a long time. In summary, the book offers insight into yet another form of Nazi propaganda and the devastating loss that so many endured at the hands of the Nazis. It's a raw and honest account that doesn't shy away from the truth. I found it to be a fantastic read and would like to extend my gratitude to #AndieNewton for crafting such a magnificent story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I must admit that the book exceeded my expectations, especially given the buzz it has received on Instagram. I'm grateful to my fellow readers for recommending it and encouraging me to try it. I find the main character to be absolutely mesmerizing. Though she may seem composed and collected on the surface, she is a simple girl at heart with a sharp wit that I found incredibly charming. She has a knack for planning things ahead, which I admire, and despite having no remaining family and not being the most trustworthy person, she is determined to make reliable friends in her field of work. The narrative is incredibly fast-paced, which makes it impossible to put the book down. The author has artfully incorporated multiple timelines that weave together beautifully to tell the story. The book is full of twists and turns, yet it's easy to follow. The characters are all uniquely crafted and play multiple roles throughout the story, which kept me guessing until the end. Mr. Smith, in particular, had me intrigued, and I was pleasantly surprised by the author's character revelation. Overall, this book is an exciting and engaging read that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a thrilling adventure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #ThePatient is an intricately woven family drama thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat with its numerous secrets and twists. The story follows Saphy, who develops an obsession with her organ donor after receiving a life-saving organ donation. What starts as a chance encounter with the donor's family evolves into friendships with them and their friends. While it's common knowledge that a transplant recipient might experience changes in their preferences, the novel takes this aspect further with its unique and unexpected plot twists. The book's suspenseful narrative is genuinely impressive, with the author expertly revealing secrets and clues bit by bit, keeping the reader guessing until the end. The story's pacing is fast and intense, with the excitement increasing as we approach the finale, making it an absolute page-turner. ⭐️⭐️ In the early 1950s, Reno, Nevada, was known for its famous "divorce ranches," attracting women of various ages and social classes. These women arrived in Reno seeking a divorce from their husbands for multiple reasons. Among them were Lois and Greer, who, after spending a few weeks at the ranch, devised a plan that would change their futures forever. While Lois' life took a different path, it came with a harsh reality check. The book was decent overall, with an exciting beginning delving into the world of divorce ranches. However, I lost interest in the author's writing style soon after. The story dragged on for an extended period and was tedious and slow-paced. It wasn't until the end of the book that the pace picked up, which saved the ending from being a complete letdown. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #RemindersOfHim is a poignant contemporary tale that tells the story of Kenna, a woman given a second chance at love and life. After a life-altering accident, Kenna strives to become a better person, transforming from a woman madly in love to a devoted and selfless mother. Kenna's character is both simple and likable, and her journey towards redemption is both moving and inspiring. Her unwavering commitment to her child and her efforts to turn her life around are admirable and make her character relatable and endearing. The novel's ending is not your typical happy ending, but it is a realistic one that leaves readers satisfied and content. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a heartfelt romance with a message of hope and redemption. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #TheTroubleWithYou is a beautifully crafted story in old New York after World War II. The author skillfully portrayed society's changes during this period, and the book primarily focused on people's lives. As the war came to an end, women who had taken up jobs to support the war effort were expected to give them up and return them to men. The story highlights the challenges war widows face as they navigate dating and remarriage. The author masterfully weaves a tale that showcases the struggles of both men and women who were blacklisted for their support of communism. Women were trying to find their place in the workforce, while young children were growing up and accepting the new way of life, different from their parents and pre-war. The novel follows multiple characters who embody each of the abovementioned characteristics in the 1950s. The book's primary focus is on the lives of women and their rights, which were slowly gaining momentum in the 50s and 60s. The era saw a significant outbreak of women standing up for their rights and demanding equality. Even 75 years after this story, women still struggle for equal rights. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the message conveyed by the book. It was beautifully written, with a fantastic set of characters and an exciting storyline that kept me engaged throughout the book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves historical fiction. I want to take this opportunity to thank @NetGalley for providing me with a free and advanced copy of this novel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of reading a book that resonated with me on a deep level. The story centered around a group of six book bloggers who, despite never having met in person, decide to embark on a weekend getaway at a secluded AirBnB. As I delved deeper into the book, I was captivated by the vivid and descriptive writing that made me feel as though I was a part of the group. However, I couldn't shake the eerie and unsettling feeling that rose within me as the bloggers arrived in the small town. It was as though the atmosphere held an evil energy that threatened to consume them. The author, #KierstenModglin, masterfully crafted a thrilling and terrifying tale. The unpredictable twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat, and I found myself fully invested in the characters' fates. I was both scared for them and excited to see how the story would unfold. Overall, this was an exceptional read that left me with awe and admiration for the author's talent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The book is set in the bustling city of London in 1925, a time when women were starting to claim their independence and fight for their rights. Through the eyes of multiple captivating characters, all women, the story unfolds, revealing their struggles and triumphs as they navigate their way through a male-dominated and often hostile world. The women come from vastly different backgrounds and have unique aspirations, yet their lives are intertwined in a web of friendship and shared experiences. As the story progresses, the reader becomes emotionally invested in each character's journey, rooting for them in their battles against adversity and cheering them on in their moments of triumph. The book is beautifully written, with vivid descriptions that transport the reader back in time to the sights, sounds, and smells of London in the 1920s. There are moments of heartbreak and sadness but also of joy and hope as the women fight for their rights and strive to achieve their goals. Throughout it all, the reader is drawn into their world, experiencing their struggles and victories as if they were their own. Even the dog in the story becomes a beloved character, adding to the book's charm and emotional depth. Overall, this is a wonderful and engaging read that celebrates the strength and resilience of women in the face of adversity. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The story centers on the fascinating lives of church cult communities. The main character distances himself from the community, but after his passing, his family ends up in his hometown under the influence of his mother, who has a vicious plan in mind. Overall, the story maintains a good pace. However, one part of the story leaves me puzzled. Adam's friend, whom he considers family, tries to cheat Sarah out of her husband's money, which is rightfully hers. The explanation for this is unclear, and I was hoping for a twist at the end of the novel that would provide a satisfactory explanation. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. The cult part of the story is intriguing, especially considering the numerous stories in the news in recent years. Despite this, the story lacks the suspense that I expected. Nonetheless, it is a quick and light read that offers a glimpse into the world of cult communities. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For years, my fascination with World War II has consumed me. I have read numerous books on the topic, immersing myself in the viewpoints of those who lived in Nazi-occupied countries or fled from them. However, I recently realized that I've been missing a critical piece of the puzzle - the thoughts and beliefs of the Germans themselves. What did they think of Hitler's reign? Did they blindly follow his every command, or did they harbor doubts and concerns? Thankfully, I discovered a novel that provided an insightful and illuminating glimpse into the lives of three German women, each with a unique perspective and lifestyle. The first character embodies the Aryans who could see through Hitler's propaganda and empty promises, recognizing the danger he posed to their nation. The second character, a middle-aged person who had already experienced the horrors of war and loss, initially stood with Hitler's position but ultimately saw through his lies and changed her beliefs. The third character represents the weak-minded Germans who blindly followed Hitler's words without comprehension, unable or unwilling to think for themselves. The novel was a literary masterpiece, weaving together three distinct and compelling storylines skillfully and precisely. One aspect that particularly stood out was the author's exploration of the Lebensborn Society, which was both shocking and unthinkable. However, the author's research and attention to detail brought this little-known aspect of history to life, providing a descriptive account of what occurred in those times. This book does an excellent job of shedding light on the subject and bringing attention to the Lebensborn Society, ensuring that this dark chapter in history is never forgotten. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #MayoClinicOnHealthyAging is a great read book on aging, which I found to be a comprehensive and informative guide. The book covered a wide range of topics related to aging, including the physiological changes that occur as we age, common health concerns for older adults, and strategies for maintaining good health and well-being in later life. While I didn't come across any information that was particularly new or surprising to me, I found the book to be a helpful reference guide for anyone who is just beginning to explore and learn more about aging. The writing style was clear and accessible, and the information was presented in a way that was easy to understand and digest. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning more about aging and how to maintain good health and well-being as they grow older. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The novel's pace was one of the things that stood out to me the most. It covered a span of many days, yet was able to do so in a concise and engaging way. The characters, while seemingly straightforward at first, were given depth and complexity as the story developed. This made it easy to get invested in their individual journeys, even as the mystery surrounding them deepened. As the plot progressed, it became increasingly difficult to determine who was telling the truth and who was lying. The different versions of events that were presented throughout the novel made me question every character's motives and actions. This kept me on edge throughout the story and added an extra layer of intrigue to the mystery at hand. While I found the ending to be a bit too dramatic for my personal taste, I appreciated how it tied up loose ends and provided a satisfying resolution to the story. Overall, I found this to be a great thriller that kept me engaged and entertained from start to finish. One of the things that I particularly enjoyed about this novel was how the main character, Arden, was a savvy crisis management expert rather than a detective. This made her unique compared to other protagonists in the genre and added an interesting dynamic to the story. Watching her narrow down the suspects and try to solve the case using unconventional methods was both entertaining and refreshing. I am grateful to @NetGalley for granting me access to an advanced copy of this novel, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The author's writing style was engaging, and the plot was well-crafted, keeping me hooked from beginning to end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #TheTeacher is intricately woven with a spider web of lies and deceptions, making it an enthralling and captivating read. As a seasoned thriller reader, I have learned not to take everything at face value and to expect the unexpected. This novel was a perfect example, with the final plot twist leaving me speechless. I was left guessing until the end, and the satisfaction of the unexpected conclusion was genuinely delightful. The author's ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and deliver a mind-bending ending made this book an exceptional read I highly recommend to any thriller fan. #FreidaMcFadden has expertly crafted Addie's storyline, creating a character that is truly one-of-a-kind. Addie's presence in the lives of Eve and Nate transforms their story into a gripping and compelling page-turner, setting it apart from many other books in the same genre. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The novel has two timelines that take place in Verona in 1867 and 1947, both of which are equally captivating. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the stories of post-war Italy, the resilient people who survived the war, and the heart-wrenching losses they experienced. Christina Rossetti's story is as dark as it is captivating. The textile historian's journey to narrow down Rossetti's timeline in Italy and uncover her secrets kept me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed the detective aspect of the story. The author used many creative methods to uncover the truth. While I was surprised by the betrayal revealed at the end of the novel, the clues were cleverly hidden throughout the story. This novel is an exceptional read, with an intriguing plot that has twists and turns in almost every chapter. It boasts of multiple storylines that keep the book exciting, and the number of dead bodies that detectives keep discovering is beyond shocking. The web of secrets unravels at a rapid pace, making it a true page-turner. I was initially skeptical about the large number of characters, but the author made it work perfectly by giving each character a well-defined role and engaging them in the story. The detective's background is truly inspiring. Billie Ann is straightforward, laid-back, and unafraid to speak her mind. Despite being a cancer survivor and a victim of rape, she has finally decided to come out of the closet and reveal a lifelong secret. Billie Ann's captivating character and courageous spirit have truly inspired me to stay tuned to her upcoming cases. Her exceptional qualities have left a lasting impact on me. I had high hopes for this novel, given its promising synopsis. However, it failed to live up to the hype in my opinion. To begin with, the writing style felt off, and the storyline lacked a natural pace. It all seemed very contrived. While the dual storyline was a great idea, it was executed too obviously, leaving nothing to the reader's imagination. Additionally, the story lacked any real suspense or mystery. The repeated use of the phrase "Till Death Do Us Part" in a different context felt out of place and contrived. I'm new to Eva Rae's novels and picked this book based on positive reviews. Although it's not my favorite, I see potential in the series and would give this detective another chance. Thank you to @NetGalley for providing me with a complimentary advanced copy of the novel. I am a big fan of Edith Wharton's books, so I was eagerly anticipating reading about a story in her life. I found the plot to be quite dull. The murder of a fellow novelist, David Graham Phillips, her competitor, piqued Edith's interest; her investigation was unimpressive as she had no way to narrow down the suspects. She kept accusing anyone she thought was the murderer without any concrete evidence, which made her appear foolish. Moreover, her relationship with her husband is a significant part of the novel, with Edith constantly trying to avoid him. In my opinion, the book lacked any real suspense. The story focuses on too many different things thrown into the plot, making it unnecessarily longer. I was completely engrossed by the writing of Old New York and its society. This part of the story truly stood out to me and I found it to be the most enthralling aspect of the entire narrative. The novel is set in a picturesque province and includes the world-renowned children's book "The Little Prince". However, apart from that, I found the rest of the story to be rather mediocre. The novel's title, #ThePerfectAffair , gives away the plot's central theme, which revolves around a marital affair and its aftermath. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and found all the characters to be engaging. However, towards the end, the story becomes unnecessarily complicated with too many secrets. The multiple plot twists made the novel messy and challenging to follow. I would have preferred if there were only one or two plot twists at the end to maintain clarity and coherence of the story. Nevertheless, the last chapter, where Paige confesses her part of the story, is the standout moment of the book. I firmly believe the story would have been much better if it had been simplified. #SomeoneLikeYou is a story about two women with contrasting life goals. The plot of the book had great potential, but unfortunately, Jemima's character ruined it for me. At first, she appears to be sweet and innocent, but as the story progresses, she turns out to be vicious and exploitative. Her character was delivered in an odd, needy way that made me dislike both her and the plot very quickly. Additionally, the author tried to shift focus from the more vicious villain and put it on Jemima, but that didn't feel right from the beginning, which is another reason why the book lost my interest. A mystery novelist named Mari has found herself in a situation that she could only have imagined in her books. What could have been the plot of her next novel became her living nightmare. #TheHeiress is an exciting and suspenseful read, filled with unexpected plot twists and hidden truths. The well-developed characters enhance the depth and complexity of the story. I am still unsure about what to think regarding Cam and Jules's relationship and their involvement in McTavish's history. While I am inclined towards Camden's initial decision, I am not entirely convinced that returning to Ashby House was the right choice. Furthermore, Jules' position in Cam's life seems to be ambiguous. Although she claims to love him, and vice versa, her actions suggest otherwise. Her intense efforts to get her hands on Cam's inheritance reveal a darker side to her personality. On the other hand, Ruby is a fascinating character, and her story is captivating. Despite being a ruthless serial killer, she managed to avoid arrest despite the rumors. The other McTavish family members are portrayed as spoiled and entitled brats. This book is a standalone novel in a series, and even though I hadn't read the previous two books, the author provided a clear and detailed explanation of the events, allowing me to enjoy the story thoroughly. The lives of the doctor's wife and mistress intersect, and the author masterfully portrays their connection throughout the book. Both characters experience motherhood, but their paths diverge. The author's ability to keep me engaged throughout the book was impressive, and even though the story was predictable at times, the ending caught me by surprise. The story hooked me from the beginning of the book. Maggie felt an irresistible pull towards the house she had just purchased. Her decision to remain there despite the terrifying discoveries hinted at a deeper reason for her attachment to the house. The novel also features a love triangle that was evident from the start. Both storylines were expertly interwoven to create a thrilling and suspenseful plot. I enjoyed the backstories of the three main characters, and the revelation at the end of the book was the perfect conclusion to their stories. Overall, the novel is an engaging thriller with a fast pace, multiple twists, and a limited cast of characters. I would like to express my gratitude to @NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy of the book free of charge in exchange for my honest review. I came across a gothic novel titled #TheCurseOfPenrythHall and was immediately captivated by its exciting synopsis. To my delight, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The curse that looms over Penryth Hall has once again claimed another heir, and while the villagers are quick to attribute it to the curse. However, Ruby, a visitor of Penryth Hall and a close friend of Tamsyn, is not convinced. She embarks on an investigation, aided by Ruan, the village Pellar, to uncover the secrets that connected the residents of Penryth Hall and the villagers. Their research has resulted in an extraordinary folklore narrative that is a treat for the readers. The novel's characters did a fantastic job in creating an excellent mystery. The plot was intriguing and unfolded at a fast pace. This makes it an exceptional read for both gothic and simple historical fiction enthusiasts who love a good mystery. This is your typical story of a middle-class girl engaged to a boy from a privileged family. And, of course, the wealthy family disapproves of their son's choice. But this story stands out because of a secret link that connects Kass to the Sedgemont family, the link that neither Kass nor the Sedgemonts are aware of. This novel is a quick and engaging read with plenty of twists and turns to keep readers hooked. Initially, the story revolves around Kass but later shifts its focus to the Sedgemont family and their numerous members. As the book progresses, trusting anyone, including Kass, becomes difficult. I found the mystery, pacing, and ending of the novel to be highly enjoyable. It's a fantastic choice for those who love family thrillers. #TheNurse is an outstanding, fast-paced thriller that stood out. The two main characters, Henry and Sabrina, are dangerous individuals who hide terrible truths yet still manage to take advantage of one another to live their desired lives. Despite causing each other immense suffering, they appear to be a perfect match. Emily's character surprised me the most, as her true intentions are revealed at the novel's end, which perfectly concludes this phenomenal read. In my opinion, this novel has an excellent plot with many phenomenal twists and turns that keep the reader engaged. The characters are well-developed and interesting, making the book impossible to put down. I would certainly recommend this book to any mystery lovers out there. I also want to express my gratitude to @NetGalley for providing me with a free and advanced copy of this book. I was happy to pick up Mary Kay Andrews' new novel #BrightLightsBigChristmas As a big fan of #MaryKayAndrews her latest book has warmed my heart, just like her previous novels. The story takes place in a big and cold New York City, where Kerry reunites with her brother Murphy to save their family business. However, in true MKA fashion, the siblings achieve much more than simply selling off their Christmas trees. The big city also gives them an opportunity to find love, help a friend in need, and establish a new future. This holiday read is an absolute must-read that will warm your heart and rekindle your hope for the season. The beautifully crafted plot and well-developed characters make this romantic novel an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience. Waking up to a life where I don't even remember my name is my worst nightmare. I can't even begin to imagine how Becka felt when she woke up in the hospital without any memory. Nevertheless, human intuition is a powerful force to reckon with. Despite her memory loss, Becka could sense some unknown yet familiar feelings. The story Freddie told her about their life did not match her intuition. Following her instincts, she started piecing together the puzzle of her memories, and just as the doctor had promised, it all came back to her. The novel had a lot of potential, but it failed to live up to the hype. Although I was initially hooked from the first pages, it quickly started to disappoint. I found the book to be mediocre at best, with a severe lack of suspense and a highly predictable plot. I received an advanced copy of the novel from @NetGalley for free in exchange for my honest review. Although I skipped the first book of the series, I can confidently say that this novel covers all the main points of its forerunner. I have to be honest, I didn't really enjoy the novel. It just didn't capture my attention. Right from the beginning, it was clear that Ellie was being deceived. The fact that neither she nor anyone else around her could see it was amusing. And the fact that Kyle's accomplice revealed everything to Dawn, a complete stranger, was just bizarre. It doesn't make sense for a scammer to spill their entire plan to someone they just met. I found the story of another villain from the previous novel, Harvey, to be quite fascinating. His character seeking revenge played a significant role in the novel, and I enjoyed the way the author portrayed him. The perfect ending for his character was a nice touch. Therefore, I would rate the novel two stars. Although the writing was enjoyable, neither the plot nor the main characters held my full attention, so overall, this novel wasn't my cup of tea. However, I will still give #DanielHurst another try in the near future.
