"Drenched in Love" - Love is a feeling that is hard to describe in words. It is not just about the romantic love, but also about the love for your family, friends and even your pets. Love can be felt in many different ways. For example, when you are sitting on a bench and drinking coffee while watching rain drops fall on an old door. The love that we feel for someone is often difficult to express in words. The best we can do is to show it with our actions. The love that we feel for someone can be as simple as- waiting up for them when they are late or making them coffee in the morning. Love is a feeling. It’s an emotion. It’s a sensation. It can be experienced in the most unlikely of places and times. 🌧 🌧 🌧 THE STORY.... It was a rainy day, the kind that makes you want to curl up on your couch with a cup of coffee and watch some TV or read a book or just do nothing at all but bask in the feeling of being warm and safe from life’s little troubles. I was sitting on my couch, enjoying my coffee, when I heard someone knock on my door. I thought it was odd because it wasn't even noon yet and I didn't know anyone who would come by so early in the morning- not to mention the rain outside made it seem like no one would be coming over at all. But I got up ... to find the surprise of my life that day. Drenched in rain, No I, suddenly felt to add it poetically- "drenched in Love !" I want it to be written in my mother tongue to have THE so called FEEL, that's me , my thoughts ! To be out from my poetic world, the drenched love touch had to be felt to step up and greet me out from the shock of my life and surprise. To the feeling of the drenched mood,Now yes, I am wet too. We looked hard for a bathroom for this scene, found one, negotiated a deal then had it cancelled with 24 hours to go. We were in the Snaefellsnes at the time and no amount of pleading would get us our location back. The replacement (this one) required Dankuro Shinma (DP), the Focus Puller) and the Sound Recordist all had to be in the small space to the left of the mirror. I remember his daughter, grand daughter praying for him; hopeful, more than we are but we kept on looking for him, doing whatever we can. His labs kept on deranging involving all of his systems but then things took a turn. . . . We talk a lot about myths we live by here...while using the words "stories" and "narratives" as interchangeable synonyms. These myths (stories/narratives) color the lenses in which we see the world. They frame our internal motivations. They shape our fears, desires, hopes, and anxieties. If I believe that I alone hold the only true myth, that shapes the way I interact with others. If I adhere to the system that my story is the only right story and all other stories are false, that colors the way I see the world.
