Detox plays an important part of my wellness journey. I enjoyed trying out different kinds of detox program. Sharing with you my recent detox liquid juice detox journey. Scientifically, a liquid juice detox works on a cellular level going through the blood streams by providing the body with nutrient-rich juices that are easy to digest, allowing the digestive system to rest. It helps cleans the body of toxins, improves digestion, boosts energy levels, enhance mental clarity and it can also balance hormones. On a spiritual level, this detox has helped me in cultivating the practice of non-wanting, craving and acceptance. Detox experience may vary from person to person. These are my experience: Day 1: cravings, irritability, fatigue, emotionally more sensitive, low energy. Day 2: mild headache in the morning and lethargic. Towards the end of day, mental clarity kicks in and felt a surge of energy generating inside the body. Day 3: more grounded, calmer and not feeling any craving for solid foods. Body felt so much lighter. Mental clarity increase. Felt more energetic. For beginners, I would suggest to start with a 1 day detox and once the body is used to it, feel free to try 3 days up to 7 days detox. And if you have the time, make your own or find a supplier that sells a low sugar juice specifically for detox. Beautiful Face Qi Gong In ancient China, Qi Gong practitioners understood that the expressions of our face have a deep impact on the quality of our feelings. Therefore, just as they created massage routines for different parts of their bodies, they also developed practices to work with their faces. By channeling the energy of the face into the rest of the body, Acupressure Facelift practices were used for full-body cultivation. "How often should I practice Qi Gong?" (answered) Here's the answer to how often to practice Qi Gong: It depends. There are always variables that have to be considered, right? So, to answer this question to the level you deserve, here are several options: Option 1: Whatever You Can Some Qi Gong is better than no Qi Gong whatsoever. So, even if you can't fit in the recommended minimum below, do whatever you can, as often as you can. Even one minute of practice is 100% more than no minutes of practice. We recommend you shoot for about seven minutes. This is just enough time to start to relax your nervous system. A good place to start are the seven-minute routines in our 30-Day Challenge, visit our Facebook page for the link. Option 2: The Recommended Minimum That said, Lee recommends students practice Qi Gong for a minimum of 20 minutes a session, three times per week. That's 60 minutes of practice per week total. However, the more often you practice and the longer you practice in each session, the better chance you have of achieving desired results faster. Option 3: The Ideal For most people, the ideal schedule is 60 minutes a session, three times per week. That's three hours of practice per week. This is generally how often Lee teaches and how many classes we release each week. With three times a week at 60 minutes per session, you'll start to notice results faster. Traditional Chinese Medicine Case Study: Lowering Creatinine levels using Acupuncture and Moxibustion. As I said in the post. This is anecdotal evidence from the clinical experience of one of my professors. This past week during a lecture on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), he explained that he had used a method of mixing acupuncture and moxibustions with patients who suffer from high levels of Creatinine, although they didn't necessarily have CKD but the results are worth looking into as a powerful tool for Primary Healthcare providers. The method was like this: First, he would locate the TaiXi point (Kidney 3) located behind the medial malleolus in the depression between it and the Achilles tendon. If the patient had no puls in that region then he would apply acupuncture along with three moxa cones at that point. My professor states that he has seen magnificent improvements in blood creatinine levels just like the ones mentioned above in the post. This opens the door for potential investigations and new approaches, especially in the Primary Healthcare Level given the innocuous and safe these kinds of interventions are. Due to the versatility of sweet potatoes, they can be boiled, baked, mashed, and easily cooked the night before and re-heated for breakfast the next day. Blood deficiency is a very common Traditional Chinese Medicine pattern I see in clinic, especially with menstruating women. In April we sent some lucky practitioners some @acufast needles and a needle clip assembly, as part of our Share the Love Earth Day Giveaway. 🫶🌎 @bronwenericksonacupuncture was a lucky recipient, thanks to @mk_tcm 🥰 Here’s a photo of the very small amount of recyclable packaging left at the end of her clinic day. The pouches are made from PET1 plastic and can be recycled with soft plastics. The tubes are made of the same material as a yogurt container, and could be recycled curbside **we recommend collecting tubes in a small container and then popping the whole thing into a recycle bin with the lid on once it’s full.** We’d love for you to try our needles too! Becoming a mother has unveiled to me the profound strength and wisdom inherent in YIN 阴 - It’s about embracing the gifts of nurturing, gentleness, and intuition. I owe the mother I’ve become to my own mother, who instilled in me the virtues of strength, softness, resilience, and unconditional love. Her qualities have been indispensable in my journey as a mother - they have served as a guiding light, leading me on a transformative and selfless path towards: 👉🏼 Deep self-compassion as I realized that there is no such thing as the perfect mother. It took me a while to let go of the notion of perfect motherhood. For the first few years of being a mom, I beat myself up for not being 'perfect' and exhausted myself trying so hard to avoid making “mistakes”. 👉🏼 Boundless love for this human being, my sweet daughter, whom God blessed me with and entrusted me to guide her to cultivate a secure, loving home within herself. 👉🏼 Ultimate healing in every area of my life! Having children is the most beautiful gift but also the most humbling experience. And honestly, I have no clue how my mom did it raising four girls, because I'm only raising one and have no idea how she did it with such grace, never making us feel unattended or unloved. Menstruation! the day you start to 🩸 Few ways to help during the menses: -Walking, mindful stretching, yin yoga, reading, qi gong -Avoid rigorous activity for the first few days of period -Get lots of rest -Take a warm bath or have a heating pad on lower abdomen or back -Wear socks to keep the ankle covered & feet warm -Try to avoid exposure of abdomen and low back -Castra oil on low abdomen with a heat pack (15-3omins) -Avoid cold raw foods like: ice drinks, smoothies, salads.
