There’s something about a lazy weekend morning that makes me want @wafflehouseofficial - anyone else? Just me? 👌😂 My order 99% of the time is the all star special with a blueberry pecan pancake with sausage, hash browns, toast, and scrambled eggs. I wasn’t all that hungry this morning so I just recreated the waffle at home, and it was plenty! I used: 1/2c birthday cake @kodiakcakes mix, 10g chopped pecans, 10g dried blueberries, and 1/3c of water. I didn’t have the patience to cook all of that in my mini waffle maker so I just made a giant pancake. YUM 😍 I almost always put my syrup to the side so every bite has that fresh syrup taste. It never fails that if I do pour it on the pancake/waffle, I can’t really taste the syrup by the end of it. Then I add more. Syrup on the side is the way to go!! PS Walmart great value brand has a blueberry fruit syrup that is to die for!! November 2022 ➡️ April 2024 A lot of people get hate for posting before and after photos because it’s like you’re shaming someone for being bigger or that you’re somehow better now you’re smaller. (Mostly the reason I left the body positive influencer community when I started this account) I don’t see it that way - I love before and afters. I look at the photo from before and think “bloody hell I remember how hard life was then and what I went through and fair play to her to cracking on” also no wonder I looked like that - I’d just had a baby! I wasn’t myself - I was a mum. A tired, messy, more tired, empty person in pain and scared and stressed all the time - and my only thought was my daughter. The number of calories you eat is the one thing that will influence the direction your weight goes. Do not disregard this. 2. Keep protein at the forefront of your dietary focus. This will ensure you don’t lose muscle (in fact, it’ll help you build more muscle if you’re training correctly). 3. Allowing yourself to include the ‘bad’ foods several times per week. You need something you can stick to. A life of bland, clean food sounds pretty miserable to me. That’s why it’s important to factor in your favorite foods each week! High Protein Evening Meals 💪🏻 • All my evening meals this week for a little inspo! Unfortunately it’s also one that people struggle to get ENOUGH of on a daily basis. My goal is always about 30g of protein at every meal. This can be as simple as having 5-6oz of meat verse 3-4oz. Be sure to note serving size too- it takes more volume of plant based proteins 🫘to get the same amount as animal based proteins🥩. When you can, go for quality!! Grass fed meat, organic poultry, organic plant based proteins. But regardless, get that protein in!! How much protein do you need daily?? General rule of thumb👍🏻 is 1g per pound of body weight (especially if over 40 years old!) Are you getting in enough?? Volunteer at Parkrun Saturday is usually followed by food prep Saturday. 14 healthy vegan 🌱 meals made for the week ahead. Although I am not strictly vegan, I do prefer vegan food. I will probabaly do another 4 meals tomorrow in the morning before my race and pop some in the freezer so I can have a bit of variety this week. I do really prefer my own cooking now to anything else. This has been a significant part of the change in my health and fitness and losing 50lbs. I used to hate cooking and lived on frozen food, but that was usually because I was getting in from work tired and hungry.
