💣 #LaGuerra de #MichaelMcDowell es la 4° entrega de la saga #Blackwater 📚 Desde mi punto de vista, baja un poco el nivel respecto a los libros anteriores. A ver, sigue siendo una historia que te atrapa entre sus páginas, pero me faltó un poco más de rebeldía por parte de ciertos personajes y que Elinor hiciera alguna de las suyas. 🔹Tras la muerte que marcó el final del libro anterior, la familia Caskey debe adaptarse a las nuevas circunstancias. Unos tendrán más poder, otros se sentirán más libres y otros tomarán decisiones que modificarán su papel dentro del clan. Mientras los conflictos bélicos asolan varios países, los Caskey afrontan sus propias batallas mientras intentan ir encontrando su lugar. Frances es la que tendrá más desarrollo, pues aprenderá cosas de sí misma que nunca imaginó. Queenie y sus hijos aumentarán su protagonismo, al igual que Grace. La única a la que no le vi una evolución coherente fue a Miriam, ya que cuesta un poco aceptar lo fácil que cede a las nuevas circunstancias. Los demás se mantienen más o menos en su línea, no pierden su esencia, pero no destacan en exceso. 🔸 McDowell sigue manteniendo un estilo de escritura que destaca por su fluidez y su capacidad para engancharte sin necesidad de que se den acontecimientos excesivamente impactantes. Hay sucesos que se pueden preveer, pero la incertidumbre sobre cómo acabará todo nunca desaparece. El final, como siempre, destaca por tener el suceso más inesperado, el cual me dio bastante pena... ➡️ La puntuación que le doy es de un 7,5/10 (3,5/5 ⭐⭐⭐). Final Report: Per The Decrees It really has been incredible. As much as I want to stop talking, the desire only rivaled by the urge to exit the flesh…just like all the stuff I have experienced, “…that was/is the whole point” is one of the mantra used to support me through it all…to here. BLACKIEBOOKS @blackiebooks Traducción @carlesandreu •••••••• ☆ CUARTO libro de seis. •••••• 💼 En esta cuarta entrega volvemos a encontrar una lectura adictiva, la magia de este autor creo que, en gran parte, reside en que te cuente lo que te cuente resulta imposible parar de leer, además necesitas más de todo siempre. 👨👩👦👦 Si es verdad que hacemos una pequeña pausa en lo que a trifulcas familiares se refiere, pero eso se ve compensado con la evolución y la profundidad de algunos personajes a los que deseaba poder conocer mejor porque resultan interesantes pero no logramos entenderles del todo. 🫶 Precisamente el cariño adquirido hacia estos personajes en las entregas anteriores han hecho que disfrute más de todo lo que se contaba, aun siendo esto mucho más descriptivo y pausado, me ha resultado una lectura sensiblemente más intensa, lo que me ha hecho empatizar notoriamente con esta familia tan peculiar. 🐊 A pesar del trasfondo de la guerra y de que todo en su parte sentimental me ha parecido muy real, no vamos a perder esos pequeños tintes sobrenaturales que ya no han sido tan sutiles y que me han seguido creando esa misma sensación de tensión y mal estar que llevaban haciendo hasta ahora. 💕 En definitiva, mi cariño hacia esta historia familiar no hace más que crecer y no puedo parar de crear hipótesis sobre lo que vaa suceder en las siguientes dos entregas que nos quedan. ¿ Ya sois adictos a esta familia? 👇🏻
