Moving through some BIG feels this week. Coming around full circle. Patterns, recognizing cycles. Remembering all the situations we a experience in our lives, are ALWAYS of our own accord. Consciously or unconsciously, we create the reality that plays out in front of us. What I believe, is that our experiences all manifest in our lives, based on our individual traumas. We can absolutely have amazing, transformational, positive experiences that teach us a lot as well. For sure! BUT in my experience, and what is currently showing up in my life with big transitions going on, as well as what I witness to be true for so many others, is that we usually bring forward unconscious patterns, thats purpose is to trigger our inner wounding, and our biggest insecurities. Then we have the opportunity to either chose differently, and grow, or repeat it again. And again. It’s seriously THAT simple. None of this separation process has been easy. It’s been very emotional, my nervous system is shot lol. BUT I am sitting here now, today, deciding that I want to practice feeling grateful, for all the ways people show up in my life, helping me, guiding me, holding me literally lol, and triggering me. Can I just take a minute to brag on these two chicks right here on each side of my daughter? These two are THE BOMB-DIGGITY!!! They expect excellence. Not just in our girls’ work ethic but in their behavior and integrity. They have been so gracious to this incoming mom who is new to the cheer scene and have helped me navigate through the passed several months with marriage and a move in the works. When you focus on the wrong things, you lose sight of what’s important. This past 5-6 weeks of chasing numbers again, I lost sight of what I want to achieve here. I want to be strong, I want to accomplish goals, I want to live my life. But at what cost. Took an off plan night. No tracking. No calorie counting. No focus on body composition and losing fat. What I accomplished was more laughs, more freedom, more joy. Went for a run this morning on my #sundayfunday and accomplished my fastest 5k ever. Happy Motherhood Monday 🥰🥰 This Christmas session felt different. It was not just full of joy but full of questions and doubts. This past year has been anything but easy and the weight of that set in on me this past week. Questions of job, strife, pain and worthiness. It has been so easy to dwell on all that went wrong this last year, through some of the most unimaginable situations that I can still not wrap my head around, but because of God our family made it through each one. Because of who God is, His willingness to sacrifice it all that is how we can keep taking the next step. Because of Him we are enough in EVERY WAY! Earlier this year I had to make a decision. I was totally unhappy with where I was and what I was doing. I knew it was time for a change, but I had been down this route before. So, this time while processing through it, I created some non-negotiables… ✨ I wanted to continue to serve people ✨ I wanted a work environment where mental health was at the forefront ✨ I wanted to work from home and on my own time ✨ I wanted a paycheck that matched my hustle People have told me all my life that you will never find the “perfect job” and although that’s true for them, I knew my non- negotiables were important and I would not settle for anything less. I knew I deserved it. And the truth is, YOU deserve that to. YOU deserve to love your job, and to be rewarded for the hard work you put in. I’m not saying you won’t have hard days, but you’ll always come back because you love what you’re doing. It’s truly not about the money I’m after, it’s the freedom. My goal is to live life on my own terms. I was lucky enough just a few months ago to have found a place that fit all 4 requirements. This has been a season of learning about purposefully slowing down. Sitting in silence on a log in the woods for hours. Doing nothing but listening, watching. Cooking a soup for hours, waiting for its nourishment. Fermenting veggies and dairy on my kitchen counter. Turning over each dirty dish in my hand for the second or third time already that day. Feeling my feet on the kitchen floor and knowing this is where I am, this is the task at hand. No where else to be. Trusting slow and steady training is making me stronger one day at a time despite slow progress and no flashy gains. Sinking into the timeless beauty of single focus. Of simple purpose. Adding up these moments into years, watching the years accumulate into a life. What is important? How do I bring myself to each task? Be present in boredom? Cultivate peace? Taste the flavors of the food my hands have combined. Delight in the children I have raised. Put my head to my pillow each day wildly grateful to be alive and relatively well. Building friendships minutes and hours at a time. Beginning to know that I can be helped and held by others and that my heart longs to do the same for them. That I am safe. In the dark warmth, no light to see one another’s faces. Only voices. Only stories. Doing nothing. Being here. We’re living the life in South Texas. We’re on day 4 of no running water and electricity every now and then. But we have Jiffy Pop and a gas stove, games, tea and coffee, read aloud, and interesting ice covered plants and other things to take pictures of. This year Thanksgiving is a little different for us. This was suppose to be my year. There I said it.🙈 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I would be lying if I said I hadn’t been dreaming about this school year for the past 2 years. After having littles home for the last 9 the thought of them all going to elementary school together sounded so dreamy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Morning car ride sing alongs & watching them walk into the building that first exciting but scary day together⭐️ Knowing the boys would see their little sister in the cafeteria and give her a wave or let her sneak in a hug🥰Being able to visit them all in one building AND having some real me time to get all the things done, house, work, and just V. It sounded like a dream, and unfortunately it was. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m choosing to go into this school year grateful. Grateful that our kiddos have the opportunity to even get an education, grateful for the extra time we get together as a family, grateful for the teachers that I know are going into this school year equally as uneasy with how they are going to really connect with our babies, but knowing they will do the best they can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m sure we are going to have some rough days ahead and figure it out as we go. These two essential oil gems have been game changer tools for me as I get to step into the role as a “chill” passenger driver with my 15 yr old at the wheel.
