Josiah or Mommy?! The world may never know. 😂🍪🍪🍪 We all love Cookie Monster so Mommy couldn’t resist buying this sweat jacket when we went to @sesameplaceca in May. It came in handy too! It was unseasonably cold on that trip. It will be too warm on our next Sesame Street inspired trip. We can’t wait to see Cookie Monster and the rest of the gang when we go to @beachesturksandcaicos. Mommy added extras for us; Bedtime story/tuck-in, a photoshoot, and we’re going to see about making cookies w/Cookie Monster! We will be taking our stuffy, Julia, along with us. You know she has autism like me, right? It’s going to be awesome. Can’t wait to share our trip with you. Thanks to Ms. Dina, @lilyandmagnoliatravel, for booking our trips for us. She’s seriously the 🐐of #autismtraveladvisors. Who’s your favorite Sesame Street character? Sissy and I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving with your family and friends if you chose to spend your day that way. We are almost finished with our cruise. This was one for the books for sure; not necessarily in a good way 😫🫤🙏🏾 The thing that matters is that we are together. Living the life lol Made it to the hotel before our vacation starts. I’m so happy I have a couch and tv to myself. #BigCityGreens is one of my favorite shows and mommy doesn’t have to watch it with me. She’s watching #HomeAlone and #HomeAlone2 tonight. Have a happy #ThanksgivingBreak if you’re already out! Have a #HappyThanksgiving no matter how you choose to spend it. Mommy said to check on a friend or family member that may be alone this holiday. Many clients ask me about traveling while pregnant. This is a special time and you can absolutely have an amazing time with your family or partner. It's always best to consult with your doctor or midwife before planning a trip. When working with me I need to know what limitations you have. I don't want to send you on a hike up Haleakela and you should be keeping it easy. You know your body best and I always invite you to talk to me about what you can and can't do during your trip. Plan to slow down. While, each and every pregnancy is different take more time to appreciate your trip. Do less. I found that the further I got along in my pregnancies the less I could do. Rest, you deserve it. Don't let your pregnancy stop you, unless of course your doctor or midwife says otherwise. Skip the theme parks. While I've gone to Disney pregnant and it was FUN. It's a lot of walking and you are limited on the rides you are allowed to go on. An easy vacation like an all-inclusive or a cruise (in the earlier weeks of pregnancy) is a fantastic choice! Do you have any tips to add for traveling while pregnant? #lilyandmagnoliatravel #autismtravelpro #autismtraveladvsior #autismtravelagent #autismmom #momofanausomekid #momofanautisticboy #autisticboymom #boymom #traveladvisor #familytraveladvisor #blacktraveladvisor #mixedtraveladvisor #mixedkidstraveltoo #babymoon #pregnancytravel #tokyodisneyland #tokyodisney #pregnantatdisney #pregancytravel #pregancytrip #pregnancyvacation #pregnant

Are you a person that likes to plan your own trip? I often get asked about vacations and what people could do and where to stay on a vacation. I do offer a ton of free information for you on my blog and on this account. While, of course, it's enjoyable to chat about a vacation, I can't work for free on a vacation for you that you aren't allowing me to book for you. I'm running a business, and free doesn't align with my business. With this in mind, more often than not I get "can I pick your brain" DMs or emails. It's flattering that I get asked these questions but again, I can't work for free. As such, I've created a consultation appointment where you can book time with me to chat about a vacation you want to book, and maybe it's without me, and that's okay. The best way to get started is by booking a planning call! We'll help you decide on the perfect itinerary and answer any questions that come up. In about an hour we will talk about : ⛩️ accommodations ⛩️ transfers ⛩️ flights ⛩️ tours ⛩️ and more! Your one-hour session will be custom-tailored for your needs. You can discuss the best itinerary and explore any questions you may have about travel planning! I’ll answer any questions, provide clarity, and bring calm to the stress of travelling with your autistic loved one. You'll receive a PDF with all the things we talked about to help you move forward in your planning process. I’m excited to help you plan the perfect vacation for your family! Head on over to my link in bio to get started with this consultation call! In lieu of a new years resolution which I'll never keep or a goal I'll never follow through with I've decided to do something I was inspired by @samanthabrowntravels to do which is something positive. I've caught myself a couple times over the past year living in a little bit of FOMO. I'm not traveling international at the moment but there isn't anything wrong with that. I've decided that I want to move more slowly. I've been rushing, hustling and pushing to make my business a success in my eyes and to live a little faster. I want to live slower like I did in Hawai'i. I want to be of service to you and my family and the best way for me to do that is not rush from one client to another or from one thing for my family to another. I want to breathe and move at my own pace even if that means I won't vibe well with everyone. I want to live with a lot more ALOHA. I'm looking forward to the abundance that 2022 is going to bring because I'm believing it and I can't wait to hear about your journey this year. If you are thinking about doing something for 2022 make it your year to do something YOU have always wanted to do, if that's travel you know where to book me (link in bio), if you want to jump out of a plane, if you've always wanted to raise goats go and do it! This is Harmony of the Seas! We will be spending a week on this massive ship. Thanks so much to @lilyandmagnoliatravel for planning this amazing end to our epic Christmas vacation. We enjoyed our stay at #PortOrleansRiverside. We stayed in a Royal Guest Room with a woods view. We could also walk right out our door and make a quick trip to view the riverboats go down the Sassagoula River. We rode in once called the Louisiana Lady too! That was cool because our great grandparents were from Louisiana. We loved making the headboard put on a fireworks show at bedtime. Princess Tiana is a wonderful hostess. I wish we would have seen her but staying in one of her rooms was the best! They aren’t the biggest rooms since it’s a moderate hotel but we really liked it. The buildings are beautiful and so are the grounds. Most of the people were really friendly as well. Thanks to @lilyandmagnoliatravel for planning our wonderful @waltdisneyworld vacation! She surprised us with a gift bag and box of treats to fuel us for the park days too! This is just part one of an epic Christmas vacation. As many of you know I'm moving to Florida pretty soon. It's not a replacement for Hawai'i and from what I remember of living in Tampa as a child doesn't even come close when we are considering the people, the food, the weather, and the beaches BUT like many things I've learned during this journey we call life I have learned to be open to new experiences. I will admit that each time we move it's a little bit harder to leave the place we've called home for a while but I'm thankful each time from whatever place you believe in to challenge me to open my eyes more and see the great big world and remember "There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow Shining at the end of every day There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow And tomorrow's just a dream away…" What do you love the most about the city or town you live in? #soontobeafloridian #moving #pcs #movingagain #beachlife #saltlife #beachmom #tropicalmom #autismtravelprofessional #autismtravel #autismmom #autismtravelpro #certifiedautismtravelpro #certifiedautismtravelprofessional #hawaii #hilife #hawaiilife #oahu #oahulife #oahulifestyle #koolinalagoons #hawaiiansunset #aloha #alohalifestyle #livingwithaloha #lukcytohavelivedinhawaii #luckytohavelivedinhi #lilyandmagnoliatravel #travelagent #traveladvisor

I'm often asked what sets me a part from other travel advisors. Well, nothing beyond my education and journey of being a mom of an autistic child. It's true that any travel advisor can plan and book a vacation for you. The difference is, is that I get it. If you are a parent of an autistic child, while allnchildren are most certainly different, I GET it. I get some of the similar challenges which, is why I look for very specific things that only a travel advisor that is also a parent of an autistic child would get. You can most certainly articulate what you need to other travel advisors and I very much encourage you to work with someone that you vibe with. If that's not me no worries, I want you be happy with who you work with. The reason I'm different is because I specialize very specifically in autism travel. I learn as much as I can from resorts, hotels and even vacation rentals like the @pieceofmindretreat so that I send you places I know put you and your child's need FIRST. When you are finding you need more help navigating the world of travel, rely on me to make that next vacation one to remember! Where are you planning to vacation next? I went to my first and last travel conference of the year. I enjoyed learning more about the travel industry from suppliers like @royalcaribbean @universalorlando and @marriotthotels to name a few and connecting with other travel advisors! I enjoyed learning from @travelbusinessmastermind and enjoying some time at Universal Studios. It was a huge benefit to go because I had a lot of questions about accessibility for my clients and also about making accommodations for my autistic families. I was able to make connections to be able to better accommodate my clients and enable them to have support from some suppliers in order for me to help them have an amazing trip. Prepare your bulky cameras, unfold your maps, and make sure your fanny pack still fits. On September 27, World Tourism Day raises awareness of the need for accessible tourism around the world.⁣ ⁣ The World Tourism Organization (WTO), a UN specialized agency, created World Tourism Day. You probably have seen the World Trade Organization in action if you've ever walked through a picturesque European village. A few of the benefits of the WTO include the growth of local economies and sustainable tourism.⁣ ⁣ World Tourism Day is also a way to make travel accessible to all one of my biggest missions here at @lilyandmagnoliatravel, including those with disabilities and those with low incomes. 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭.⁣ ⁣ 87% of families with an autistic child do not take a vacation. I'll say that again with clarity. Families with an autistic child answered a survey on @autismtraveloptions that showed 87% of them did not take a vacation. That same survey showed that 93% of these families WOULD take a vacation if there were certified autism travel options available, which means of course support, programs that go beyond awareness and go to acceptance. 97% of these same respondents said they are very disappointed with the lack of autism travel options. 98% of respondents said they rely on Doctors and Therapists for travel approval. This is a large reason why I want to change the narrative. There ARE options out there and I'm very thankful for that, yet folks don't know about them in general. ⁣ ⁣ This is how we change the narrative, by working hiring me as your Travel Advisor. I work with vetted autism-friendly tourism suppliers that have options for families to visit and feel supported while traveling. I don't just send folks to places that I've never spoken to or discussed what options they provide for my clients. I also have processes in place when working with you to have discussions with your loved one's therapist on way to prep your child to prepare for travel. Finally, we talk you tell me what your child or your needs are and we work together to ensure as many accommodations are in place as possible.⁣ ⁣ The statistics of this survey were pretty shocking when I first became a #certifiedautismtravelpro . What do you think? Would you be more likely to travel if you worked with a travel advisor that had all of these options to support your family? ⁣ ⁣ #autismtravelpro #certifiedautismtravelprofessional #traveladvisor #autismmom #travelagent #lilyandmagnoliatravel #ibcces #traveladvisor #familytravelagent #familytraveladvisor #familytravelconsultant #familytravelplanner #travelconsultant #travelplanner #familytravelplanner

When I was planning my first family getaway with young kids I struggled with was trying to plan a trip that would be a nice mix of relaxation and adventure. I would often pack our schedule to the max rather than giving us plenty of time to relax at the pool or just simply enjoy the location we visited. I would overwhelm us to the point that we needed a vacation from our vacation. I wanted to create memories and enjoy our time together so badly I felt I had to fill it up with tons of things to do because we might never come back. I was most certainly wrong about that. I have revisited a couple of places with my kids that I traveled to solo and with them more than once. There is no need to pack your travel itinerary to the max! ⁣ ⁣ It can be hard to scale back when you want to see and do all the things, can’t it? Some of my clients have been there, so today I wanted to share three tips to help you plan that idyllic family trip the kids will enjoy!⁣ ⁣ 1. Always plan a down day or two. A day that you'll spend relaxing at the hotel pool or the beach or whatever with no plans whatsoever expects relaxing. ⁣ ⁣ 2. Try to keep tours and outings to just one of two things a day. This way you aren't overwhelming your kids and if you have a child that really wants a lot of pool time this is a fantastic comprise to know they have the pool to look forward to later! ⁣ ⁣ 3. Get the kids to join in the planning process. Give them some choices and stick with the choices they choose! They will feel invested in the planning process even if it's just to visit the M&M factory you will have an amazing trip.⁣ ⁣ I hope this helps as you think about your future travel plans for the remainder of 2021 is going to be another tricky year for travel and if you could use some advice or expertise with planning your family getaway I’m just a call away!! ⁣ #familytravelplanner #familyvacationspecilalist #vacations #familyvacation #familytravel #familytravelpro #familytravelagent #lilyandmagnoliatravel #travelagent #traveladvisor #autismmom #momofboys #boymom #boymomtothemax

Are you a little worried about trying to travel with your autistic child? Are you concerned about traveling to a nearby city? Another state? Or halfway across the world? I can definitely understand because I had the same feelings when my son was diagnosed with autism. However, I want you to know that traveling with a person with autism is completely possible! In fact, I believe that travel is for everyone! ⁣ 1. Practical Application of Work Done in Therapy Sessions⁣ ⁣ 2. Spreads Awareness of Neurodiversity⁣ ⁣ 3. Helps Build Self-Confidence Which Leads to Self-Advocacy⁣ ⁣ 4. Helps Explain and Unpack the World Around Them⁣ ⁣ 5. I did travel around my local area but I didn’t stray more than 50 miles from my home. With my second child, I was considered high risk as well but I was in much better shape with him. The two biggest things and this is why you should talk to your doctor is I was getting progesterone shots every week so I could only travel a week at a time after 16 weeks of pregnancy. I’d go in get my shot and then head to the airport and be back in time for my next shot. My doctor also asked around week 34 that I stop traveling because that’s when the shots ended and I could have the baby at any point after that plus more travel suppliers don't like you to travel basically towards the end of your final trimester. During my second pregnancy, I visited Turkey, Japan, and Maui before I couldn’t travel anymore. ⁣ Have a plan before you go! ⁣ ⁣ What I mean by this is to not only talk to you doctor to make sure you are able to travel but also talk to your travel advisor (ME!) to create an itinerary for you that takes into consideration what you can and can't do on your babymoon! ⁣ ⁣ Want to learn more? 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? ⁣ 👉 When some of my clients work with me for the first time they have some misconceptions like the vacations are cookie cutter and it's not going to meet the needs of my autistic child, I also can't travel because my child is going to get over stimulated, judged, have a meltdown etc. ⁣ ⁣ But the truth is you can absolutely you can absolutely plan a getaway every member of the family will rave about and working with me will help you to book and plan a trip that minimizes meltdowns and maximizes fun. I can't promise a meltdown free vacation but I can promise that I'll make my best effort to listen to you and try my hardest to curate a vacation will take the consideration of everyone in the family from things like autism-friendly tourism companies to restaurants that have been certified as autism-friendly or accepting. ⁣ ⁣ My best hack for achieving this? Always do your research ahead of time and plan a set itinerary, but I don't need to tell you that as a parent of an autistic child. 😉 Make the family a part of the process so everyone gets a say. It also makes your children feel invested in the vacation as well as alieviates some anxiety that can be caused by the idea of travel! ⁣ ⁣ Of course, this is only the beginning, as your autism travel advisor, I’m here to guide you through it all. Do you have any questions? I get pretty much all the exercise I need walking down airport concourses carrying bags. -- 𝘎𝘶𝘺 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘬⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ One of the things I miss the most about traveling right now is airports. I love the thrill of walking into an airport. It doesn't matter where I'm going it's just that the husle and busle of the airport. It is the idea that something exciting is about to happen and a journey that will change me forever is about to happen like my last trip to see my family in Turkey. That trip 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 my life. I met family that the last time some of them saw me I was a baby. The tears of joy that were shed. Learning what family means was truly a trip that needed to happen for me. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ What do you love about airports?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Bonus question any guessed about what airport this one is? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #theautismtravelpro #lilyandmagnoliatravel #autismtravelpro #autismtraveladvsior #autismtravelagent #autismmom #momofanausomekid #momofanautisticboy #autisticboymom #boymom #traveladvisor #familytraveladvisor #blacktraveladvisor #mixedtraveladvisor #mixedkidstraveltoo ⁣⁣⁣

𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮? ⁣ ⁣ For me, it's always my boys being exhausted from all the fun. Now, mind you, I never over-plan my own trips and when working with clients I always ask how packed they want their vacation although again I always recommend keeping things modest. ⁣ ⁣ I know when you are wanting to go on vacation you want to see and do all the things, but when you are traveling with an autistic adult or child that can be a lot. 𝘐 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯! With this in mind, I always believe that a beach vacation where you spend most of the day at the beach is a way to create fantastic memories with your kids. ⁣ ⁣ Also, don't worry when you hire me to be your travel advisor I'll make sure to talk with you about things you want to do when I am creating your itinerary. I have found the benefit in slow traveling which is lower stress levels. Less chances for overstimulation for you kids and more opportunity for you to actually spend time with your family. Take my word as your travel advisor and choose slow travel every time. {Fill in the blank place} will still be there and we can plan another trip later to hit those things you weren't able to do in one trip. ⁣ ⁣ How do you travel? ✈️We are talking about my favorite program this week on the podcast! ✈️⁣ ⁣ @tsa cares is for travelers requiring special accommodations or concerned about the security screening process at the airport may ask a TSA officer or supervisor for a passenger support specialist who can provide on-the-spot assistance. ⁣⁣ ⁣ ⚔️Members of the Wounded Warrior Program @wwp may also participate in this program.⁣ ⁣ How this program works, you'll call the TSA Cares hotline at least 72 hours before your flight. During this phone call, you'll relay your flight information for arrival and departure as well as what needs will need to be considered during security screening. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 🔔 Please know that this is not a skip screening this simply provides help to get through security with less stress. ⁣ To ensure your security and safety, all travelers are required to undergo screening at the checkpoint. You or your traveling companion may consult the TSA officer about the best way to relieve any concerns during the screening process. You may provide the officer with the TSA notification card or other medical documentation to describe your condition. ⁣ ⁣ What to know more about TSA Cares? While, it is true that options are not as plentiful as a able body traveler there 𝐚𝐫𝐞 options. I've found during my time as a mom of a child with autism strategies that work for us while we travel. I know that everyone with a special need is not created equal and everyone has unique special needs that needed to be accommodated while on vacation. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🗺️ When I found there weren't a lot options for my son as a travel agent I began a journey to seek out places that would work for us and in turn I could confidently recommend and book for clients that also had special needs. Which is what you'll get when working with me. Not only a travel agent but a mom that understands that special needs need to be met even while on vacation. I help you to curate an itinerary that gives you wiggle room, time and tours that consider your families needs above all else. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🗺️ This is such an underserved community and when you have someone that knows what's available and how to advocate for you while traveling, which is what I do it makes your travel experience easier. 🎙️In today's episode of the Special Needs Travel Podcast, I had the extraordinary pleasure of chatting with a fellow travel agent Kevin Lowe of @betterdaystravel who happens to be blind! I haven’t officially met him in person but online I’ve had plenty of chances to speak with him and over time I would like to think we’ve become friends and support each other in our travel businesses. He is a wealth of kindness and a curator of bucket list vacations. ⁣ ⁣ On a recent episode of his own podcast, The Lowe Down on Life and Travel, you learn how he operates his travel business and how Kevin is now able to see the world through sound. We also have a running joke about Kevin “sees” me and what I look like to him in his head! I’m so pleased to share his story of traveling the world while blind and how even with his vision gone he is still able to be in the world and experience with all of his other senses. ⁣ ⁣ Kevin Lowe’s story is pretty awe-inspiring and I think you are going to love this episode of the podcast!⁣ ⁣ What did you take away from this episode?⁣ ⁣ #blindtravel #travelingwithblindness #travmarketmediapodcast #travmarketmedia #lilyandmagnoliatravel #specialneedstravelpodcast #travelingwhileblind #travelwithaccessible #travelaccessible #travelingwithspecialneeds #specialneedstravel #specialconsiderationswhiletraveling #travelingwithspecialneeds #specialneedstravelagent #thelowedownpodcast #specialneedstravel

I was surprised to find this vacation rental home that is just for families with autism. ⁣ ⁣ In this episode I don’t talk about meeting her but we do talk about her amazing vacation home on the Big Island of Hawaii and why it has many reasons you may want to work with me or another travel agent to book your stay there! A concept like this one is paving the way for travel suppliers to know there is so much more needed than just being autism aware. The Piece of Mind Retreat is a property you will want to keep on your radar for sure!⁣ ⁣ 🏨𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘷𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯? ⁣ ⁣ 🌺 #lilyandmagnoliatravel#traveladvisor#autismtravelagent#autismtravel#autismmom#momofachildwithautism#autistictravel#ilovesomeonewithautism#ibcces#ibccestravelagent#catp#catpibcces#certifiedautismtravelprofessional#certifiedautismtravelpro#autismtravelagent#autismtravel#autistictravelfamily#autismfamilytravel#haveautismwilltravel⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣

Well, if you’ve never traveled pregnant you’d be surprised to learn that especially if you have a high-risk pregnancy there are a few things to consider before going on a trip while pregnant. ⁣ ⁣ Many clients ask me if it's feasible to travel while pregnant. ⁣ ⁣ Travel at any time can present some challenges, but pregnancy presents challenges that can be met with a little extra planning. ⁣ ⁣ This is a special time and you can absolutely have an amazing time with your family or spouse as long as you take some things into consideration before you go! ⁣ ⁣ Right away I know I am not a doctor and 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 you to speak with your doctor before you plan to take a trip any time before you travel. I am only speaking from my own experience and I can only comment on how things went for me. I listened to my doctor during both my pregnancies and was given the no go during my first pregnancy and the all-clear for my second. As such, I’m mostly talking about how I traveled when I was pregnant with my second son. Regardless, you may not want to travel the way you used to this is a chance to slow down and see things in the park you may have never seen otherwise.⁣ ⁣ Have you traveled while you were pregnant? Where did you go if you did? “𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲” 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡!⁣ ⁣ Individuals on the autism spectrum need more places where they can have fun, learn, and 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 that their needs will be understood. Research has shown that engaging in stimulating activities such as 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥, experiencing new environments, animals, water interaction, and outdoor play is therapeutic for children and individuals on the autism spectrum.⁣ ⁣ Which is 𝗪𝐇𝐘 I created Lily and Magnolia Travel. Because of this little boy right here! My son Thane was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and ADHD at 8 years old. Just because he is High Functioning that doesn't mean we don't have meltdowns and really hard days. That doesn't mean he functions "just fine" all the time. That doesn't mean that place like Disney can be so overwhelming for him he will push his brother out of the stroller to get away from the noise and colors. It means he is on the autism spectrum and more and more places should take further steps to understand HOW autistic brain works and just because a place says they "autism-friendly" doesn't mean they have gone through with training to understand autism. ⁣ ⁣ This is why I work with suppliers and tour operators that have been certified through the @IBCCES or Autism Double-Checked. I do this because I know first hand the rigorous training they have to undergo in order to become an Autism Certified Center. ⁣ ⁣ 83% of families with autism say they don't travel because they are worried about not having the right accommodations for their loved one with autism. ⁣ ⁣ Let's change that! More and more places are becoming certified and I want to help everyone get out on the road and travel.⁣ ⁣ What is stopping your from traveling? How can I help?⁣ ⁣ #autismtravelagent #certifiedautismtravelprofessional #ibcces #travelagnet #blackmomwithanautisticchild #blackmomwithachildwithautism #blackautism #autismincolor #momofachildwithautism #autismtravel #specialneedstravelagent #travelwithautism #traveltheworldwithautism #autismfriendly #lilyandmagnoliatravel

I still want to take this trip but currently, I'm not ready to travel there and lose out on the magic. I think we'll have a lot more wiggle room to travel because I decided in the best interest of my family that we would continue with online school. I know all too well the countless hours of research we, as parents, put into molding our vacations to fit our needs. Sending email after email, phone call after phone call, my youngest son pulling my hand to grab a snack, and my oldest son melting down because his time limit was up on Minecraft. Once all is planned, our journey is everything but smooth.⁣ ⁣ When my oldest son was diagnosed with autism. I thought our travels were over once I realized how difficult it was for him to travel. It wasn’t until my son came home from school one day and said he wanted to visit the National Mall, that I realized that our travels didn’t have to stop because of the diagnosis, instead, they just needed to be modified to make traveling easier for him. At this point, I realized if I as a parent of a child with autism was struggling to travel with my autistic child other families with special needs might be facing this same struggle. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This is why I founded 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 to help remove the stress and effort that comes with planning a vacation, especially if your family requires special considerations. I want to help make your trip smooth and as painless as possible. Especially if you are thinking about one to an international destination. Yet, I believe that in the not so distant future we can begin to venture out with a mask on more than likely to domestic locations across the good ol' US of A. ⁣ ⁣ More so when the states stop flaring up. ⁣ ⁣ With this in mind, I'd like to call back to helping a traveling family Our Every J Life plan their road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway from San Fransico to Ridgecrest. ⁣ ⁣ You might not think that a travel agent can help you plan a road trip, but would you be surprised if you said we can and our help can really go a long way? Not only does it save you from having to do research for places to stop, hotels to book along the way, recommend restaurants to eat at, and attractions to visit. ⁣ ⁣ With Our Every J Life, I created a detailed itinerary for hotels to stop at that were ultra kid-friendly and had kids clubs, some places based on information that they gave me which was to do outdoorsy things. So I helped them stop at places along the way such as Bixby Bridge. ⁣ ⁣ Read the rest of the article on my blog! 𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬! ⁣ ⁣ Did you know that although Disney is accessible they do have hotels that only have two floors? According to ADA laws hotels, more than two stories high must have a regular-size passenger elevator that stops at each floor of the hotel. This includes basement elevator access for people who cannot use stairs.⁣ ⁣ This means that if it only has two floors period it won't have an elevator. ⁣ ⁣ Here is a reason why I always recommend that you tell me what your needs are 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 this way I can help you not be surprised when your hotel room is on the 2nd floor and you may have some mobility issues or a stroller that's pretty cumbersome to get up to two flights of stairs. ⁣ ⁣ I really want to help you get the magic faster without worrying about going upstairs or if a hotel has an elevator. I can make room requests, book ADA rooms for you and make you aware of which hotels have elevators. For my upcoming trip, I requested a ground level room at Port Orleans that is a preferred room because I'm not lugging my @kingdomstrollers rental up two flights of stairs by myself and also because it makes the trip back to the hotel room at the end of the day quicker to get my son in the bath and into bed.⁣ ⁣ I can't wait for next spring!⁣ ⁣ #disneytravelprofessional #disneytravelplanner #lilyandmagnoliatravel #kinshipvacations #disneytravelagent #disneytravel #themostmagicalplaceonearth #portorleansfrenchquarter #adathemeparks #adaaccesible #dasatdisney #disabilityaccessservice #elevator #disneydreams #dreamingofdisney #disneylife #specialneedsatdisney #adreamisawishyourheartmakes

Have you visited the Tokyo Disneyland Resort? Out of all the Disney Parks, this one has to be my favorite! It's full of unique theming tons of fun and a lot of spectacular shows to touch anyone to their core! If you know anything about the #disabilityaccessservice at Disney you may find that the international parks are a whole other situation to navigate. How does it work at Tokyo Disneyland? Let me break it down for you! Since this is an international park they do ask you to provide proof of a disability certificate even a non-visual one, such as #austim. You'll present that certificate along with your park ticket to a cast member at an attraction or Disney Character greeting location. If you have trouble waiting in line like my oldest son does you'll be able to wait in a separate area. Please note that it works the same as the US parks where up to 6 people are able to ride an attraction with the user of the DAS. - You can only use this service for one attraction at a time. - Your picture will be taken during registration for verification. - This service is not intended to shorten your wait but instead to minimize the difficulty in waiting in a line for attractions. It works very much the same as the US parks but there is a couple of additional hurdles to jump over when visiting them. BEFORE you leave for Japan make sure you obtain a certificate from your doctor as proof of your disability or you will be DENIED the service. Do you need help planning your trip to Japan and Tokyo Disneyland? Are you 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 with even thinking about planning it? Send me a DM or fill out my trip planning form in my bio and allow me to remove that 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 and insert 𝐟𝐮𝐧! #tokyodisneyland #tokyodisneysea #disneytravelagent #disneytravelprofessional #disneytravelplanning #disneytravel #visitallthedisneyparks # #dasdisney #disneydisability #disneydisabled #disneydisabilityaccessservice #kinshipvacations #lilyandmagnoliatravel #specialneedstravelagent

Aloha friends and ohana! ⁣ ⁣ Iʻm here to visit your feed again with little olʻ me! ⁣ ⁣ One of my favorite ways to vacation is to find the nearest pristine beach and park it there. Epic. It's a word that gets tossed around a lot in today's day and age, though not one we use loosely. When we label something as epic, we want that experience to live up to the promise that word makes. This is why today we are elated to announce the addition of our fourth theme park, Universal's Epic Universe, an experience genuinely worthy of its bold moniker.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Universal’s Epic Universe will offer an entirely new level of experience that will forever redefine theme park entertainment. First, there was the single theme park, Universal Studios Florida. Then Universal Expanded and opened its second park, Islands of Adventure, The CityWalk pops up ---boom---their first water park, Universal Volcano Bay opens, finally Universal constructs their first hotels, Universal's Aventura Hotel, and Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort, and yet guests still consider Universal Studios Orlando a one-day add-on to a Walt Disney World vacation.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Let me dispel that belief, right here, right now!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Universal Studios Orlando, has now become an exciting new brand of theme parks that offers a one of a kind experience you can't find anywhere, except maybe at one of the other Universal Studios 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 which comes in at a total of, 6, at the time of this article! These include Universal Studios Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan, and Universal Studios Singapore. The rumor mill also says they is a third theme park opening at Universal Studios Orlando. ⁣ ⁣ That being said, it is hard to dispute the popularity of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and what it has done to attract guests to the U.S. based Universal parks. Universal Studios offers a very competitive difference in both the size of the Orlando Resort and the amenities offered. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ For guests staying at Universal Orlando's Premium Hotel category, you can expect to receive a complimentary Express Pass which allows you to skip the line! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Not ready to plan a trip? That's okay! Follow along on my upcoming trip to Universal Studios Orlando! I'll share my room at the Endless Summer - Surf Side Inn and Suites as well as some stories from the parks! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ @lilyandmagnoliatravel⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ #lilyandmagnoliatravel #universalstudiostravelprofessional #universalstudios #universalstuidosorlando #thewizardingworldofharrypotter #harrypotter #universal #universaltravelagent #universalstuidostravelagent #militaryspousetravelagent #travelagent #themepark #themeparktravelagent #themeparktravelprofessional #visituniversalstudios #visitthewizardingworldofharrypotter #hogsmede #diagonalley #hiddenuniversalstudios #universalstuidosresorts

Why is travel important to you?⁣ ⁣ Travel is important to me because it unifies my family bonds. Before my oldest son was diagnosed with #autism we went about vacationing like any other military family. With a healthy dose of fun and excitement. My son loves to travel and experience other cultures and see different places. The top of his bucket list is NYC, Washington DC and The Mayan Ruins in Tulum. He also tells me that he loves staying at hotels cause he can get that bars of soap. 𝘏𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮! I won't lie and say it wasn't difficult to travel with him before I knew he was on the spectrum. ⁣ ⁣ Cause it was.⁣ ⁣ However, when we found out he is #autistic I began to shift my POV about how we travel. I learned about the @tsa care program that helps #specialneedstravelers get through the not so exciting TSA line stress-free! Even on our return flight, we were helped by a TSA agent once we disembarked the plane! Getting to baggage claim with the help of a TSA agent was so much help they have no idea, how much stress they took off my shoulders by having this program in place.⁣ ⁣ As a travel agent, this is one of the many programs that I know about that will help you travel with your #specialneedsfamily to make getting to the fun that much easier. My planning begins from the day you fill out a trip planning form and it ends only temporarily between the completion of your trip to the start of your next trip. I am here to help YOU enjoy your vacation and put services and programs in place for your family to make it an unforgettable vacation. ⁣ ⁣ #specialneedstravel #specialneedstravelagent #specialneedsmom #specialneedskids #travelagent #kinshipvacations #dinawithkinshipvacations #lilyandmagnoliatravel #militaryspouse #militaryspecialneedsfamily #travelagent #familytravelagent #familytravelagents #familytravelagentrequired #travelwithspecialneeds #autismmom #autismtravel #autismtraveltherapy #autismtraveller #autismtravelagent #takethekidseverywhere #travelwithyourkids #tsacares #tsa #tsaprecheck #tsaprecheck✔️

⁣My family got started at Tokyo Disneyland. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ My future husband at the time asked me to marry him at Tokyo Disneyland on Splash Mountain. Donʻt worry, it was well before the big drop. XD Since that trip we held annual passes and went to Tokyo Disneyland every American Holiday. It was about a 4-hour ride on the bullet train (shinkansen) and worth every single trip. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We later went back with our oldest son and while I was pregnant with our youngest son. We were shocked to discover he could ride so many rides there to include the Tower of Terror. However, this memory of riding the Whirlpool in the Little Mermaid Lagoon left lasting memories. We stood in line and Iʻll be up from Iʻm Turkish and African American and my husband is Filipino and Caucasian which is why our boys look so Asian. The Japanese family in front of us kept looking at us and then looking at our son. Finally, the mom tries in English to speak to us. I speak back to her in Japanese and she asked us where we are from and about my oldest sonʻs wavy hair, and if he also spoke Japanese, he doesnʻt. Then she dives right in and runs her fingers through my sonʻs hair. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 100% normal for Japan. My son (thankfully!) politely removed her hand from his hair and we all hopped on the ride. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It was hilarious and a unique cultural experiance I wasʻt expecting to share with my son. He talks about Tokyo Disneyland often and Iʻve got more stories to tell! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Itʻs experience like this I want to help you create! You can go to Tokyo and package it with Tokyo Disneyland and guess what? I can book BOTH for you. I want to help you strengthen family bonds through travel and create some unique to you family experiences. Are you ready to get started planning a vacation?
