Styling truly has such a huge impact on the overall feel and look of your images. When I first started out, I didn’t give styling much thought. I just figured people should wear whatever they wanted. And to an extent that is still true, in that I want people to feel comfortable and like themselves in their photos. . But I have definitely learned over time that certain colors and patterns can clash, can be very distracting, or not edit well with my editing style. Location also makes a difference in what colors and textures might look best. I have, over time, become more involved in styling clients, not because I want to control what you wear, but because I want you to have the best images possible. I want to help find clothing you feel comfortable in, that makes you feel like yourself, while also having an understanding of what photographs and edits well. . Some of my favorite styling tips for your session: -Mix textures and patterns with solid colors -Stick to mostly earth tones and neutrals with a couple pops of color -Coordinate but don’t match -Add some movement (especially for mom) I love a flowy dress✨ . 👌 Nous n’avons pas fait toutes les visites que nous voulions faire et c’est une habitude 🤣 Nous voyageons trop lentement pour ça ! On veut voir, découvrir plains d’endroits qui ont l’air top, que ça soit touristique ou non, car tout fait parti d’un pays. Les locaux se trouvent partout et visiter, s’imprégner des lieux fait partie de notre mode de voyage pour comprendre des locaux et un pays. Mais on sait que nous n’avons jamais le temps de tout faire. Et si au début, c’était difficile pour moi, aujourd’hui, ça fait partie du jeu et tant que je profite de nos voyages, ça m’amuse même ! Du coup, on a pris le temps de visiter Batu Caves Temple. Ça se situe à une dizaine de km au nord de Kuala Lumpur. On y trouve des grottes dont certaines sont aménagées en temples. Cet endroit forme un des plus grands sanctuaires hindous (hors Inde évidemment). We travelled across from the Todra Gorge to Tinghir and on to the oasis towns of Erfoud and Merzouga. From here we transferred little boys and big luggage to a 4x4 and spent twenty exhilarating minutes driving the dunes of the Sahara to our luxury desert camp. More of that later. From the camp we were treated to a stunning Saharan sunset and the boys tried a bit of sand boarding. Lots of Berber food and music rounded off a great evening. The best was yet to come as we got up super early the next morning to meet our 4 camels and our camel driver. We then spent a quite brilliant 90 minutes riding out over the Saharan dunes to catch the sunrise. This was a special family moment and the boys are still buzzing from it. Morocco has so much to offer for great family adventures but this bit of the trip is not to be missed. 🐪🌅🇲🇦😁

Leap of faith Today we had a guided tour of @hawkstoneparkfollies - this place is full of so much history and so many more mysteries. Arlo was in his element with all the mud and scaling some ridiculous heights….. would you believe it if I told you we climbed all the 150 plus steps to the top of this monument and then Arlo actually went and walked around the top too….. even our guide didn’t want to do that! My heat was in my mouth as he went on ahead to walk over the Swiss bridge - I had to put my phone away to walk over as it terrified me but I couldn’t be shown up by a six year old. There was lots of mud and water - this place isn’t for the faint hearted - you need good boots and water to hike around - and to see everything properly including the caves and the views from the top of the cliffs would take you the best part of three hours scaling lots of hills. I have to admit we paid extra to take a guided tour in a landrover which saved us some energy and gave us some fabulous insight in to the secrets the landscape holds….. our guide was fabulous, answering all of Arlo’s questions - now we know where to spot peregrine falcons, some fascinating facts about lemonade and have some insight in to new and exciting plans for the future of the follies. Who needs swimsuits when the allure of crystal-clear turquoise waters beckons? Despite forgetting our swimmers (rookie mistake) we couldn't resist the temptation of a refreshing dip after our long coastal walk. So “undies” to the rescue! There's something truly invigorating about immersing yourself in the ocean's embrace! We’re looking at around 15°C/59°F sea temperature just now in Crete, so it's still a little chilly. As we soaked in the serenity of Stavros beach in Akrotiri – we marvelled and shivered uncontrollably at the epic views all around us. Not a person in sight! Pre-Easter! One last trip to the mountains to see out the winter. It’s not always easy taking kids to the snow but the sunshine and mountain air make it worth it every time. SURVIVING HOTEL STAYS WITH A BABY! 🛌 When travelling as a family we always prefer to stay in apartments or cottages. Having a separate space for the little one to sleep in, and access to a kitchen, just makes life easier. But I adore a night or two in a great boutique hotel, and I was not ready to give this up when The Baby arrived! We have now stayed in multiple hotels with him, so here are my top tips… ✠ CHOOSE THE RIGHT ROOM - check with the hotel what room configurations are available. Some may have corners or dividers that allow you to create a bit of a nook for the baby, or at least a bit of separation to try and disturb their - and your! - sleep less. ✠ CONSIDER THE BATHROOM - set up the travel cot in the bathroom to create a separate space! We have used this trick a few times now. Clearly you need to go to the loo very quietly in the night… or use communal facilities outside the room! ✠ “FREE” EXTRA ROOMS - in destinations where accommodation prices are more affordable or if your budget stretches, book rooms with flexible space. Some will have separate dressing rooms or walk in closets that could be used as a baby bedroom. ✠ SLUMBERPOD - a blackout tent, that sits over the top of the travel cot. We borrowed a @slumberpod from friends to try. I was really skeptical but it was excellent. We are definitely considering getting one of our own. Given the price, this is only worth it if you travel often. Just remember that it will be hotter in the pod, so dress baby accordingly. ✠ PACK YOUR KINDLE! - if you are going to sit quietly in a darkened room you might as well make the most of the time to devour a great book! The low light of a @amazonkindle (or another e-reader) is less likely to disturb a sleeping little one, than a TV or laptop screen. And if all else fails… ✠ EMBRACE THE EARLY NIGHT - if you are anything like me, the extra chance of sleep is more than welcome! 💤
