Baby-friendly pork and sweet potato meatballs: Ingredients: 1 lb of lean ground pork 1 small sweet potato - mashed 1/2 small onion, finely diced ¼ tsp of paprika ¼ tsp of onion powder ¼ tsp of garlic Powder 1/4 tsp Olive oil Instructions: Preheat oven 400F Add the olive oil to a frying pan over a medium high heat and add the onion. Fry until softened and caramelized Remove and allow to cool slightly. In a bowl, mix all ingredients together. Roll into meatballs with your hands and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes. Last week I ‘stored’ some cooking utensils for a student who brought her supplies to make a traditional dish for her cooking class. She said she was making dumplings and that they were really good. Since Aurora has been LOVING food in a more solid form but I still want to make sure she gets some much-needed iron into her, I made these! Recipe for baby cereal teething biscuits: Ingredients: 1 banana 1/2 cup iron-fortified cereal 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp cinnamon 2 tbsp or more of water (to get sticky consistency) Instructions: Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the banana, cereal, flour, oil, cinnamon, and water to reach a dough-like consistency. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until ¼ - ½ inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. I made them shaped like dog bones for easy grabbing and because it was funny 😂 Transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. It's time for another review! Thank you so much, @locallaundry and @wearecdn, for sending me a sweater from Ryders Collection to review, and just in time for Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month! So first, their customer service was great. They didn't have my original choice and communicated very well with me about what was available instead, and I appreciated that so much! I ended up getting a 2XL in Latte because the XL wasn't available and I'm 6'1 so I need a big comfy sweater with long arms! This sweater delivered that for sure, the length of the arms is perfect and because I got it a little bigger it's definitely long enough, I absolutely love the fit and the colour is gorgeous, it's been my go to sweater this month! Did I mention how unbelievably soft it is? Like, sooo soft! I love that the design of the sweater was created by a mama (@kodettelabarbera) for her son, and I admire that so much!
