Meine Meinung: Das Bilderbuch #dasunsichtbareband , welches als #theinvisiblestring Bestellerstatus feierte, ist nicht nur eine wunderschöne Liebeserklärung einer Mutter zu ihren Kinder, es stellt auch die Verbundenheit von Mensch zu Mensch heraus. Ein Band, welches wir nicht sehen können, aber dennoch überall und immer vorhanden ist, und uns verbindet ist eine schöne Metapher, auf die wir zudem immer zugreifen können. Beispielsweise bei Trennungsschwierigkeiten in Kita oder Schule, und sogar bei der Trauerbewältigung kann die Vorstellung der Verbundenheit über den Tod hinaus, tröstend wirken. Das unsichtbare Band begleitet demnach nicht nur durchs Buch, sondern auch darüber hinaus. Ein mutmachender #wegbegleiter und besondere #geschenkidee für alle, die einem am Herzen liegen. Fazit: Ein wahres #herzbuch, welches Klein und Groß Verbundenheit durch Raum und Zeit vermittelt. Ein fröhlicher, moderner Klassiker für alle Altersgruppen spendet Trost und Hoffnung. Das Cover zeigt ein tolles Motiv in tollen Farben und durch das Gold wirkt es sehr edel. Beim Titel in Kombination hat man schon die Vermutung, dass das unsichtbare Band etwas mit Familie zu tun hat. Das Buch hat nicht zu viel Text und lässt sich gut vorlesen. Dazu gibt es passende Illustrationen. Es geht um die Liebe und das sich verbunden fühlen. Das beste an dem Buch ist die Botschaft. So kann man seinen Kindern erklären, dass man immer verbunden ist, auch wenn man nicht beieinander ist. Am Ende ist die Entstehung des Buches, die Wirkung und eigentlich die ganze Geschichte des Buches erzählt. Ein wunderbares Buch mit einer der wichtigsten Botschaften für Kinder. 3 months ago we sent my mom’s sweet old pup, Moose, back over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈 🐾. Our dear friend @jenscooley sent this book to help my granddaughter understand what was happening. Teddy had a few questions, but then swiftly moved on… until recently. Now she has questions. She knows he’s with my mom (who died and left him with us), but… where is her house? Can we go there? Moosie “dint” feel well, is he coming back? Where’s his mama? 😭 Oh boy. The questions came that day, out of the blue, no warning, and rapid fire! 😳☄️ Where is Moosie? So, my daughter picked up this book, knowing Teddy is now ready, and needing, to understand where her sweet Old Man Moose is. Through this sweet story, she’s learning we are all connected, even if we don’t see each other or speak to one another in the conventional way. And we’re answering her questions best we can in a way that’s true to her developmental understanding. Two year olds certainly know grief! As a hypnotherapist, I facilitate inner-child regressions often, where those toddler feelings of unspoken fears are very clear and present. Yet I was still caught off guard! I believe her still-brand-new brain and old soul were just waiting for the language to arrive in order to be heard. When it comes to grief though, it really doesn’t matter how old you are. 🐾❤️ 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙸𝚗𝚟𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝙻𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚑 ❤️🐾 Over the last couple of months I’ve seen a lot of pet loss on here and I wanted to share one of my favorite books - The Invisible Leash by Patrice Karst. I originally purchased The Invisible String for my daughter as a Valentine’s Day gift last year. Fast forward to summer of last year - in my search for books to help her understand pet loss I came across this book. My sister’s mini-Aussie Polly crossed the rainbow bridge and it took my daughter a long time to process her loss and she’s still processing. I can, just by the skin of my teeth, read this to her without crying. In the pictures following this one you will see the beautiful book made by my sister @janelleshultz for my daughter. Snapshots of her years with @lifewithmisspolly I have never felt the gaping hole of a pets death like Polly’s - I still can’t think about her, look at the book my sister made, or my own photos of her without crying. There isn’t much I wouldn’t give up to have her back. Polly was beloved and had an extreme soft spot for only my kids - she loved them so. Between watching her as a puppy every day while my sister worked and then swapping to my sister watching my daughter when I went back to work, my daughter was nearly always with Polly. I can’t recommend this book enough to anyone who has experienced pet loss and so many of us have. This one’s for Wan ❤️🐾 we can’t wait to see you again. Thank you for letting us love you - we will cherish our memories of you forever. Miss you something fierce & feel you pulling that invisible leash often. 🐾 If you feel so inclined share a favorite memory of a pet that has crossed the rainbow bridge or one of a current pet. The second book this week that I've chosen for Children's Mental Health week is "The Invisible String" by Patrice Karst. A little fact, this is the first book I recorded myself reading but I'm still waiting to hear back from the publishers before releasing it to you guys! I absolutely love this book, as it's a nice way to explain how we're still connected to someone, even when they're not there. I've used the method of 'the invisible string' several times to support children during transition when starting nursery. 🧶Çok sevdiğim bu kitaptan bahsetmek istiyorum size. Görünmez İp iki çocuk ve annesi arasında geçen, birbirini seven insanlar arasındaki kopmaz bağları anlatan harika bir kitap. 🧶Özellikle ayrılık kaygısı ve kaybetme korkusu yaşayan çocuklar için bununla nasıl baş edebilecekleri üzerine yazılmış sıcacık hikayesiyle sizi de etkileyecek. Üstelik ölüm, yas gibi anlatması ve açıklaması zor olan kavramları da o kadar naif anlatıyor ki. Je dois avouer que la qualité du texte qui raconte le deuil des animaux de compagnie à su me toucher droit au cœur et à l'âme. On y traite d'émotions, de sentiment et d''amitié, mais par dessus tout, de l'action infiniment grande et absolument abstraite de croire. De ressentir et adhérer à des concepts sans les voir, mais en faisant le choix de les accepter puisqu'ils éveillent notre 6e sens... le sens de l'amour. I use this Children’s story book all the time in my work (and at home with my own family) especially when we are leading up to a planned break in sessions for the school holidays.
