This documentary really goes in deep, pun intended, into the world of the octopuses, showing just how intelligent and problem-solving they can be. The storytelling is as buttery smooth as Paul Rudd’s voiceover, but the cinematography is so vivid that it really does put you inside the reef with him. The story maybe drones on for a few parts, but oddly, it’s all a bit mesmerizing. "The Far Pavilions", the first miniseries made for HBO, debuted on 21 April, 1984, hot on the heels of the British miniseries "The Jewel in the Crown". Ben Cross, Amy Irving, Omar Sharif, John Gielgud and Christopher Lee starred in this epic saga based on MM Kaye's novel about cross-cultural politics, conflicts and passions in Raj-era India. More accurately, the six-hour miniseries is based on part of the epic novel, because the exciting first part of the story - dealing with Ashok (Cross's character)'s eventful childhood as an English orphan raised by an Indian mother, working as a child servant for a royal court, and then fleeing a false attempted assassination charge back to England where he joins the military and then returns as an adult to India - is dealt with during the opening credits (!), and the later part of the story, following his reunion with princess Anjuli (Irving) whom he first met as a child, is omitted. This still leaves plenty of story, though, because a lot happens... It was filmed in location in India and there is some great mountain scenery. The problems will come when Rachel (Claire Danes), his ex-wife, will no longer be seen or heard, leaving Toby in despair and full of questions that only he can answer. I problemi arriveranno quando Rachel (Claire Danes), la sua ex moglie, non si farà più né vedere né sentire, lasciando Toby nello sconforto e pieno di domande alle quali soltanto lui potrà dare risposta. The penultimate episode #whywefight , where #easycompany stumbles across a German " work camp" was shattering. This series is truly stunningly good and does a fine job of paying tribute to #veterans without ever going for broad or obvious statements. The Pacific was good but for me falters a bit when moving out of the battlefield, feeling a bit like by the numbers drama. Who remembers this TV mini series from the 2000s? The 10th Kingdom. I remember watching a few episodes back in the day. But not fully watching it until like 5 or 6 years ago. It gave me fond memories of my TV watching younger years. Despite its made for TV Origins, it's plot wasn't that bad. Plus, the celebrity cameos were a nice touch. I need to give it a watch again! A Spanish drama comedy series (Original title: Las de la última fila) about true friendship. As they fulfil each task from the list, they bond and tackle many of their personal issues.
